The Willem Lodewijk Gymnasium is a Christian gymnasium (secondary school) in Groningen, Netherlands. It is the smaller of two non-comprehensive gymnasiums in Groningen, along with Praedinius Gymnasium. As of 2015, the gymnasium had approximately 710 students and 78 staff members.

MartiniPlaza (formerly Martinihal Groningen) is an indoor arena located in Groningen, Netherlands. It is used as an exhibition complex, theater and sports arena. The arena is the home of the basketball team Donar and has a capacity of 4,350 people.

Donar, also known as Donar Groningen, is a professional basketball club based in Groningen, Netherlands. The club competes in the BNXT League and its home arena is MartiniPlaza, which has a seating capacity of 4,350 people. Donar is one of the traditional first division clubs along with Den Bosch, as it entered the league 52 years ago. The club won the national DBL championship seven times; in 1982, 2004, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Donar was runner-up in the seasons: 1998, 2006, 2011, 2015. There are also six Dutch Cups in the honor list of Donar; they won the cup in 2005, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022. Donar has the most fans in the Netherlands, with approximately 1,700 season ticket holders and sells the MartiniPlaza out on a regular basis in the playoffs.

The Nederlands Stripmuseum (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈneːdərlɑnts ˈstrɪpmyˌzeːjʏm]; "Netherlands Comic Strip Museum") is a museum dedicated to Dutch language comic strips, with emphasis on native comic creations, and located in the city of Groningen in the Netherlands.

Eelderwolde is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Tynaarlo, and lies about 5 km south of Groningen.

Rôtisserie Le Mérinos d'Or was a restaurant in Groningen, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1985 and retained that rating until 1991.In 1977, the restaurant was owned by mr. Fr. Graaiman. Geerhard Slenema bought the restaurant, at that time a bistro, in 1978 and turned it slowly into a fine dining-restaurant.Le Mérinos d'Or joined the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise in 1986.Owner and head chef Geerhard Slenema sold the restaurant in 1990, to open Herberg Onder de Linden in Aduard in 1991.

Wall House II (also known as Bye House) is an historic building in Groningen, Netherlands, that was designed by John Hejduk. it is one of his few realized designs. Heiduk originally designed Wall House II as a residence to be built in Ridgefield, Connecticut. However, due to cost constraints, the project was abandoned. In 2000, a Dutch development company, Wilma, started building the house in Groningen, based on Heiduk's original design and later revisions. Wall House II has a very large wall as its central feature, composed of four organic-formed rooms and a long, narrow corridor. It is considered a mix of Cubist painting, Surrealist sculpture and architecture.

Noordelijk Scheepvaartmuseum (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈnoːrdələk ˈsxeːpfaːrtmyˌzeːjɵm]; Northern Maritime Museum) is a maritime museum in Groningen in the Netherlands.The museum was opened on 31 March 1932. With 34,098 visitors in 2015, it is one of the most-visited museums in the province of Groningen. The museum had 38,757 visitors in 2017.Jan Wiebe van Veen is the director of the museum and Wicher Kerkmeijer the curator.

The Gotisch huis (English:Gothic house) is one of the oldest buildings in the city of Groningen, Netherlands. It is a rijksmonument since 1971. Built in the 14th century it is widely seen as the oldest residential building remaining in the city, this fact was mentioned when it became a rijksmonument, even though the Calmershuis that was built in 1250, and mentioned as being a mayor's house, is older. Together with the nextdoor building, the Canterhuis, it is currently in use by the Northern Maritime Museum.

Noorderplantsoen is an urban public park in the city of Groningen in the Netherlands, situated slightly north of the city center. Its name is Dutch for northern public garden.

Groningen railway station (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɣroːnɪŋən] (listen); abbreviation: Gn), locally called Hoofdstation (Main Station), is the main railway station in Groningen in the Province of Groningen, Netherlands. It is located on the Harlingen–Nieuweschans railway between Zuidhorn and Groningen Europapark, on the Meppel–Groningen railway as terminus after Groningen Europapark, and on the Groningen–Delfzijl railway as terminus after Groningen Noord. The first station building was completed in 1865 and demolished in 1894. The second and current station building was designed by Izaak Gosschalk, completed in 1896, and most recently restored in 2000. Train services started in 1866 and are currently provided by Nederlandse Spoorwegen and Arriva. There are 41 bus services at the station provided by Qbuzz.

The west gallery organ in the Aa-kerk in Groningen was built by Arp Schnitger in 1699–1702. Originally built for the Academiekerk in Groningen it was moved to the Aa-kerk in 1815. Today it has 40 stops on three manuals and pedal, and is a monument of European significance.
