W Las Vegas was a planned condo-hotel and casino resort near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It was announced in August 2005 as a joint venture between Edge Resorts and minority partner Starwood. The project was initially expected to cost $1.7 billion, and would include approximately 3,000 hotel, condo hotel, and residential units, as well as a 75,000 sq ft (7,000 m2) casino, in addition to restaurants, nightclubs, and shopping. The project initially was to be built on 21 acres (8.5 ha) located east of the Las Vegas Strip. The cost of the project ultimately increased to $2.5 billion. In June 2006, Edge Resorts purchased an adjacent 25-acre (10 ha) site that had been planned for the Las Ramblas Resort. Edge Resorts then planned to build Edge East, a boutique hotel district, on the newly acquired property to accompany W Las Vegas. The project was cancelled when Starwood pulled out of the partnership in May 2007.

The Ellis Island Casino & Brewery is located near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It was opened by Frank Ellis in 1968, originally as a bar and restaurant called the Village Pub. It was renamed Ellis Island in 1985, and a casino was added four years later. Gary Ellis took over the property in 1990, and it remains a family business in contrast to most Las Vegas casinos. Ellis Island includes 10,506 sq ft (976.0 m2) of gaming space, as well as several restaurants. It is popular among locals for its cheap food and karaoke bar. In 2014, Ellis Island purchased an adjacent Super 8 hotel, which opened in 1989. The hotel was rebranded under the Ellis Island name, giving the property 301 rooms. A brewery was part of the Ellis Island property from 1998 to 2022, and was demolished for additional casino space.

The Platinum is a 17-story, 255-unit condo hotel located at 211 East Flamingo Road in Paradise, Nevada, east of the Las Vegas Strip. The project was approved in 2003, and began construction in 2005, as a joint venture between Diversified Real Estate Concepts, Inc. and Marcus Hotels and Resorts. The project was topped out in December 2005, and was opened in October 2006. In 2009, buyers filed lawsuits against Marcus for various allegations; the last of the lawsuits were settled in March 2013.

Tuscany Suites and Casino is an all-suite hotel and casino situated on 27 acres (11 ha) in Paradise, Nevada. The hotel opened in 2001, while the casino opened in 2003.

The Las Ramblas Resort was a proposed mixed-use project that was to be constructed in Paradise, Nevada. The project was to be located on 25 acres (10 ha) of land on Harmon Avenue, east of the Las Vegas Strip. Las Ramblas would have included 11 towers encompassing a hotel and condominium residences for a total of 4,400 units, including 300 hotel rooms. Other amenities would have included a small casino, retail stores, a spa and health club, and nightclubs. The complex would have totaled 8 million sq ft (740,000 m2), and was designed by Arquitectonica. The design was inspired by La Rambla, an open-air street in Barcelona. Las Ramblas was announced in March 2005, as a $2 billion joint project between Centra Properties and The Related Companies. Actor George Clooney and nightclub developer Rande Gerber signed on to invest in the project in August 2005, at which point new amenities had been added to the project that increased its cost to $3 billion. Las Ramblas was scheduled to begin construction in September 2006, with its first phase opening in June 2007. The property for the proposed project was sold for $202 million in June 2006, to Starwood, the developers of the adjacent W Las Vegas resort that was also cancelled.

The Signature at MGM Grand is a condo-hotel at the MGM Grand resort in Paradise, Nevada, near the Las Vegas Strip. It consists of three towers, each 38 stories in height, with a total of 1,728 units. MGM Mirage and Turnberry Associates partnered to develop the project, which was announced in 2002. Construction was underway in 2004, and the first tower opened in May 2006. The project was built on land previously used by the MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park. Individual buyers in the project had the option of renting out their unit and splitting the profit with MGM. Starting in 2007, hundreds of buyers filed suit against the property, alleging misleading sales pitches and income that was lower than expected.

The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa is a hotel and former casino near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The Westin is owned by Highgate and Cerberus Capital Management, and uses the Westin brand under franchise from Marriott International. It is noteworthy for being one of the first Las Vegas resorts to prohibit smoking in almost all parts of the property.

Elara (formerly PH Towers) is a 52-story timeshare building at 80 East Harmon Avenue in Paradise, Nevada, located behind the Planet Hollywood resort that operates on the Las Vegas Strip. After two projects failed to materialize on the property, Robert Earl and David A. Siegel partnered in 2005 to develop a hotel and timeshare project known as PH Towers. Groundbreaking took place in January 2006, and the tower was topped off in July 2008. The $660 million project opened in December 2009, but plans for additional towers were cancelled. When it opened, the tower featured 1,201 units, approximately 200 of which would be used as timeshares, while the remainder would be used as hotel rooms for the Planet Hollywood resort. The tower was owned by Siegel's Westgate Resorts, while Earl's Planet Hollywood International, Inc. marketed the tower and handled operations. Harrah's Entertainment purchased the Planet Hollywood resort in 2010, and took over marketing and operations of PH Towers. Because of financial difficulty, Westgate Resorts sold the tower in 2011, and Hilton Grand Vacations Company was appointed to rebrand it and to handle sales and marketing. The tower was renamed as Elara in March 2012.

Alexis Park is a hotel located east of the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It was opened on July 2, 1984, as a non-gaming alternative to the hotel-casino resorts that are common in the city. The 19-acre property was developed as a low-rise luxury resort, and became a success after its opening. Plans were announced in 1998 to add a casino, although this ultimately did not occur. The property underwent a $5 million renovation in 2004, following an ownership change. The renovations were the first phase in a project that would have added a casino and hotel tower, although these plans also did not materialize.

Park Towers is a 20-story twin-tower condominium property located east of the Las Vegas Strip, in Paradise, Nevada. The project was announced in 1998, and began construction the following year. The property was developed by Irwin Molasky and Steve Wynn, and was completed in 2001.

Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino (named after New Orleans' Bourbon Street) was a small hotel and casino near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. Opening in 1980 as the Shenandoah Hotel, the property was plagued with licensing and financial difficulties from the start. Ownership changed hands several times, with new proprietors often envisioning major renovations or redevelopment, but none of the plans came to fruition. Finally, in 2005, it was bought by Harrah's Entertainment (later Caesars Entertainment), who closed and demolished it.

Rehab was a pool party event held from 2004 to 2018, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Paradise, Nevada, near the Las Vegas Strip. Rehab popularized the pool party concept in Las Vegas, leading other resorts to begin offering their own versions. Its success also spawned a reality television series, Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel, which aired from 2008 to 2010.
