Creswell Mansion

The St. Mark's Parish Church in Denver, Colorado is a historic Episcopal church at 1160 Lincoln Street. It was built in 1889 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.It was designed by architects Lang & Pugh. Up to the early 1950s the church "boasted a castellated tower and turret at the front entry. Due to structural problems the upper story of the tower fell: the turret suffered extensive damage and was removed, with a buttress added in its place for support and aesthetic balance. The architects were Lang and Pugh. Lang was a celebrated architect of the eclectic style in Denver."

The Peabody-Whitehead mansion is a historic residence located at 1128 Grant Street in Denver, Colorado. The three-story brick mansion was designed in 1889 by architect Frank Edbrooke, designer of Denver’s famous Brown Palace Hotel. The mansion has been listed as a Denver landmark since 1993. The mansion was originally owned by battlefield surgeon and prominent early figure in Denver's medical community Dr. William Riddick Whitehead. In 1903 and 1904, it served as the residence of Colorado Governor James Hamilton Peabody. The media and local residents use the names "Peabody mansion" and "Peabody house" interchangeably to refer to both the Denver mansion and a different historic mansion located in Cañon City. However, James Peabody himself referred to the Cañon City home as the “Peabody House”, while “Peabody Mansion” was the name given to the home in Denver.In 2012, the mansion was featured in an episode of the Travel Channel show Ghost Adventures.

The Sheedy Mansion and its accompanying carriage house is a historic residence located at 1115-1121 Grant St. in Denver, Colorado. It was built in 1892 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

First Baptist Church of Denver is an historic church at 230 E. 14th Avenue-1373 Grant Street in Denver, Colorado. First Baptist Church of Denver ("FBCD") was formally organized in 1864, six years after the city's founding. After serving its community in several places in Denver's downtown, its congregation's current building is located at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Grant Street, directly across from the south steps of the Colorado State Capitol. The church was designed by well-known and prolific Denver architect, G Meredith Musick, who designed the church in the Georgian architectural style. The construction of the church took place between 1935 and 1938 and it was added to the National Register in 2005.The church's mission is to be "a center of activity for Capitol Hill where people of all walks of life and systems of belief can experience conversations rooted in hope and filled with a passion to serve the needs of the broader community".Reflective of FBCD's historic involvement in social justice, the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. preached from FBCD's pulpit on April 16, 1962.

Montgomery Court, at 215 E. Eleventh Ave. in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver, Colorado, was built in 1908. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.It is a 45-unit brick apartment building, built in a modified Renaissance Revival style. It was built by contractors Alexander Mathers and Cecil Walker.

The Art Institute of Colorado was a for-profit art and culinary school in Denver, Colorado. It briefly operated as a non-profit institution before it closed in 2018. The school was one of a number of Art Institutes, a franchise of for-profit art colleges with many branches in North America, owned and operated by Education Management Corporation. EDMC owned the college from 1975 until 2017, when, facing significant financial problems and declining enrollment, the company sold the Art Institute of Colorado, along with 30 other Art Institute schools, to Dream Center Education, a Los Angeles–based Pentecostal organization. Dream Center permanently closed 18 Art Institute schools, including the Art Institute of Colorado, at the end of 2018.

Located in the city and county of Denver, Colorado, the Capitol Hill neighborhood is bordered by Broadway, Downing Street, Colfax Avenue, and Seventh Avenue, which carry large volumes of traffic around the neighborhood. It is technically located in East Denver which begins immediately east of Broadway, the neighborhood's western boundary. Many consider the Cheesman Park neighborhood to be a part of the Capitol Hill neighborhood, but as defined by the city , Cheesman Park is a separate neighborhood. The Closing Era is a bronze sculpture of a Native American hunter standing over a dying bison, installed on the East side of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. The statute was created by Preston Powers, the son of famous sculptor Hiram Powers and "represents the end of the traditional lifestyle of Native Americans in Colorado". It was originally created for the Chicago World's Fair in 1893 and subsequently donated to the state of Colorado and erected on a granite base. The base originated from Cotopaxi in Fremont County, Colorado. Powers commissioned a poem from John Greenleaf Whittier for the base of the statue.The original idea came from real estate investors who wanted to commission a sandstone statue to lure newcomers to the Perry Park area of Denver. When the idea did not materialize, a group called the "Fortnightly Club" under the leadership of Mrs. E. M. Ashley and Eliza Routt determined the same idea would be a good addition to the Colorado State's exhibit at the 1893 World's Fair Exposition in Chicago. The group commissioned Powers to create the sculpture in bronze instead of sandstone.

The Molly Brown House Museum (also known as House of Lions) is a house in Denver, Colorado, United States that was the home of American philanthropist, activist, and socialite Margaret Brown. Brown. She survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic and was known as the “Heroine of the Titanic” for her service to survivors. She later became known as "The Unsinkable Molly Brown". The museum is her former home and presents exhibits interpreting her life, Victorian Denver and historic preservation. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is designated as a Denver Landmark.

The House is composed of 65 members from an equal number of constituent districts, with each district having 75,000 people. Representatives are elected to two-year terms, and are limited to four consecutive terms in office but can run again after a four-year respite. The Colorado House of Representatives convenes at the State Capitol building in Denver.
