Givisiez

Givisiez railway station (French: Gare de Givisiez) is a railway station in the municipality of Givisiez, in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. It is located at the junction of the standard gauge Fribourg–Ins line of Transports publics Fribourgeois and the Fribourg–Yverdon line of Swiss Federal Railways.The current facility opened on 15 December 2019, replacing a platform to the west. The new station has additional track capacity and a longer platform permitting additional service.

The University of Fribourg (French: Université de Fribourg; German: Universität Freiburg) is a public university located in Fribourg, Switzerland.The roots of the university can be traced back to 1580, when the notable Jesuit Peter Canisius founded the Collège Saint-Michel in the City of Fribourg. In 1763, an Academy of law was founded by the state of Fribourg which formed the nucleus of the present Law Faculty. The University of Fribourg was finally created in 1889 by an Act of the parliament of the Swiss Canton of Fribourg.The University of Fribourg is Switzerland's only bilingual university and offers full curricula in both French and German, two of Switzerland's national languages. The Bible and Orient Museum (officially: BIBLE+ORIENT Museum) in Fribourg, Switzerland is the exhibition of a collection of ancient Egyptian and ancient Near Eastern miniature art, as well as a project to create a modern museum to compare biblical and extra-biblical texts with archaeological, epigraphical and iconographical data. This comparison is aimed at offering stimulating insights for the advancement of the interreligious dialog.

BCF Arena (formerly Patinoire Saint-Léonard) is an indoor sporting arena in Fribourg, Switzerland. Built in 1983 and then completely rebuilt from 2018 to 2020, the capacity of the arena is 8,934 spectators. It is the home arena of ice hockey team HC Fribourg-Gottéron of the National League. Major renovations began in the summer of 2018 to increase the arena's capacity from 6,500 to 8,934 and were completed two years later in the summer of 2020. The completely renovated arena features 6,434 seats and a standing capacity of 2,500. There are also 6 restaurants and 12 concessions stands, 336 seats in various suites and 76 Dine & View seats.

It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Lausanne–Bern line of Swiss Federal Railways. The station opened at the end of 2014 and is adjacent to BCF Arena, home of the HC Fribourg-Gottéron professional ice hockey team.

La Sonnaz (French pronunciation: ​[la sɔna]) is a municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. The municipality was created in 2004 through the merger of Cormagens, La Corbaz and Lossy-Formangueires. The municipal administration, the kindergarten and the primary school are in Lossy.

Its Old City, one of the best-maintained in Switzerland, sits on a small rocky hill above the valley of the Sarine. In 2018, it had a population of 38,365.

Cardinal is a Swiss brand of beer and a former brewery founded in 1788 by François Piller, located in Fribourg. The brewery was acquired by Feldschlösschen in 1991, which itself was acquired by the Carlsberg Group in 2000. The brewery in Fribourg was closed in 2011, and today Cardinal is brewed at the Feldschlösschen brewery in Rheinfelden, Aargau.The flagship beer of the Cardinal brand is Cardinal Blonde, a pale lager, which is heavily promoted in the country.
