Givisiez (French: [ʒivizje]; Arpitan: Gevesiér [dzəvəˈʒi] (listen)) is a municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It was formerly known in German as Siebenzach, but this usage is no longer common.

La Sonnaz (French pronunciation: ​[la sɔna]) is a municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. The municipality was created in 2004 through the merger of Cormagens, La Corbaz and Lossy-Formangueires. The municipal administration, the kindergarten and the primary school are in Lossy.

Stade Universitaire Saint-Léonard is a stadium in Fribourg, Switzerland, located next to Patinoire Saint-Léonard. It is currently used for football matches and is the home ground of FC Fribourg. The capacity is 9,000, consisting of 1000 seats and 8,000 standing places.

Students number about 10,000; there are about 200 tenured professors and 700 other academic teaching and research personnel. The Misericorde Campus, constructed between 1939–42, was designed by the architects Honegger and Dumas, students of Swiss architect Le Corbusier.There are five faculties: Catholic theology, law, natural sciences, humanities, and economics & social sciences.

Fribourg railway station (French: Gare de Fribourg; German: Bahnhof Freiburg im Üechtland) serves the municipality of Fribourg, capital of the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. Opened in 1862, it is owned and operated by SBB-CFF-FFS. The station forms part of the Lausanne–Bern railway, which is the original portion of the Olten–Lausanne railway line (French: Ligne du Plateau suisse; German: Mittellandlinie). BCF Arena (formerly Patinoire Saint-Léonard) is an indoor sporting arena in Fribourg, Switzerland. Built in 1983 and then completely rebuilt from 2018 to 2020, the capacity of the arena is 8,934 spectators. It is the home arena of ice hockey team HC Fribourg-Gottéron of the National League. Major renovations began in the summer of 2018 to increase the arena's capacity from 6,500 to 8,934 and were completed two years later in the summer of 2020. The completely renovated arena features 6,434 seats and a standing capacity of 2,500. There are also 6 restaurants and 12 concessions stands, 336 seats in various suites and 76 Dine & View seats.
