The Frank J. Kaufman House is a historic house in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The house was built c. 1900 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The Frank J. Kaufman House was built at a time when East Broad Street was a tree-lined avenue featuring the most ornate houses in Columbus; the house reflects the character of the area at the time.The house was built c. 1900 and designed with Queen Anne influences. It was built for Frank J. Kaufman, a sales manager of the H.C. Godman Company. His family occupied the house until the 1940s.

The Johnson-Campbell House is a historic house in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The house was built in 1906 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The Johnson-Campbell House was built at a time when East Broad Street was a tree-lined avenue featuring the most ornate houses in Columbus; the house reflects the character of the area at the time.The house was built in 1906 and designed with Georgian influences by Richards, McCarty & Bulford. It was built for Edward Johnson, president of the Lorain Coal & Dock Co. His family occupied the house until 1912, after which it held the Joseph C. Campbell family, until 1943.

The Columbus Near East Side District is a historic district in the Near East Side of Columbus, Ohio. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. A portion of the district, the Bryden Road District, was added to the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 1990. An addition, the Columbus Near East Side Historic District-Parsons Avenue, was added to the register in 1983. The Columbus Public Health building, the former Engine House No. 12 and Fair Avenue Elementary School, Franklin Park, and the Franklin Park Conservatory all lie within the National Register district. Both historic districts include the Joseph Warren Yost House at 1216 Bryden Road, designed by the prominent architect, as well as the Charles Frederick Myers house.

The department also maintains 29 community centers, five athletic complexes, six golf courses, 120 miles (190 km) of trails, five splash pads and interactive fountains, eight pools, an indoor aquatic center, 14 nature preserves, three reservoirs, five dog parks, and a skate park.

The Fair Avenue Elementary School is a historic school building in the Franklin Park neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The building contributes to the Columbus Near East Side District, on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in the Richardsonian Romanesque style in 1890, having been designed by prolific Columbus architect Frank Packard. The building, originally housing a school as part of the Columbus Public School District, currently houses one of three campuses of the A+ Arts Academy.

The Avery Pontiac Building is a historic building in Columbus, Ohio. It is located in Columbus's Near East Side, roughly between the Franklin Park and Olde Towne East neighborhoods. The building was added to the Columbus Near East Side District (on the National Register of Historic Places) in 1978. It was individually listed on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 1984. The 22,500 sq ft (2,090 m2) building was constructed as the Avery Pontiac dealership in 1909. It became used for a warehouse and later as an artist and photographer living space. In March 2017, the city forced over a dozen tenants out, after finding numerous serious code violations and deeming it unsafe for habitation. In November 2017, a developer announced it wants to convert the buildings into apartment units and a first-floor restaurant. The project, estimated to cost $1.5 million, would create 15 living units. A renovation process was reported to be approved by city commissions, though not yet approved by city council, as of January 2018.

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center East Hospital is a university hospital in King-Lincoln Bronzeville, Columbus, Ohio. The hospital has a Level III trauma center, an emergency department, and provides numerous inpatient and outpatient services. It is part of the Wexner Medical Center, administered by the Ohio State University.The Ohio State University maintains its orthopedic, wound care, and specialty blood vessel surgery programs at the hospital. As of 2013, it is the neighborhood's largest employer, and only expected to expand its presence there.

The East Broad Street Historic District in Columbus, Ohio is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The district includes the section of East Broad Street from Ohio Avenue on the west to Monypenny Street on the east. It includes lavish residences, some converted to offices.

East High School is a public high school located on the near east side of Columbus, Ohio at 1500 E. Broad Street. It is a part of Columbus City Schools. It was originally constructed in 1922. Renovation work at East High School was completed in December 2008. The work included restoring numerous skylights throughout the building, refinishing the solid woodwork and wrought iron railings, as well as installing energy-efficient lighting fixtures. The new capacity is 1032 students. Included in the renovation was the addition of a 34,000-square-foot (3,200 m2) gymnasium, which features three full-sized basketball courts and seating for 1850 spectators. The total construction cost was $28.2 million.

Poindexter Village was a historic public housing complex in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. Today, the remaining two buildings are set to become the Poindexter Village Museum and Cultural Center. Poindexter Village was the first public housing project in Columbus, and one of the first in the United States. It was named for James Preston Poindexter, an abolitionist and baptist minister who lived and practiced in the city.
