T. C. Taliaferro House

The Hutchinson House is a historic home completed in 1908 in Tampa, Florida, United States. It is a three-story brick building in the Second Empire architecture. The building includes a high mansard roof and large porch with tall Corinthian columns.It was built by Currie J. Hutchinson, a local merchant, and is one of the few structures of its style in Florida. It was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1977, and is located at 304 Plant Avenue.

The Anderson–Frank House (also known as the James Buchannan Anderson House) is a historic home in Tampa, Florida, United States. It is located at 341 Plant Avenue. On April 22, 1982, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The architects credited with designing the house are Francis J. Kennard and Michael J. Miller. The house was built for James B. Anderson during 1898–1901. It is a two-and-a-half-story house which was deemed "significant as one of the best examples of Colonial Revival style architecture in Tampa, Florida. ...[T]he house is a masterly example of Colonial Revival design, subtly combining materials, textures, and patterns in a free but harmonic relationship to each other." The house's asymmetrical design and a wraparound porch are elements of Queen Anne style architecture in the United States.

Mise en Place is a restaurant in Tampa, Florida, the core of a group of spin-off restaurants in the area. Named for the French term mise en place, the restaurant started in 1986 as a small catering business. Maryann Ferenc and chef Marty Blitz began the business, now a group of restaurant/ cafes offering full-service modern American cuisine as well as event catering. Mise en Place is located in Tampa architect M. Leo Elliott's 1925 plaza near the University of Tampa (Elliot also created Tampa City Hall (1915) and Ybor City's Cuban Club (1918)Mise en Place is located in Grand Central Place, including a banquet hall in what was once Lafayette Bank. The restaurant is part of a three-story building beside Snow Park, "once considered the world’s smallest city park by the Guinness World Records", along Kennedy Boulevard just west of Tampa’s business district. Tampa architect M. Leo Elliott designed the 1925 plaza, built originally as an office building for physicians. The Mise en Place restaurant business also operates the SONO Cafe at the Tampa Museum of Art and is under contract for a restaurant at the Tampa International Airport. Mise en Place offers a menu "so diverse it is daunting to read while trying to hold a conversation".Past spin-offs included Mise en Place Market, a take-out version aiming to serve the "home-meal replacement niche", 442, and the restaurant Mojo on Davis Island.Tampa Mayoral candidate Frank Sanchez held his runoff election victory party at the restaurant in 2003. A Democratic National Committee fundraiser with David Plouffe was held at the restaurant in 2009. Gorrie Elementary School (1889), originally the Hyde Park School, is a historic building in Tampa, Florida. It was renamed in 1915 to honor John Gorrie. It is a two story brick building the St. Petersburg Times called a "jewel". Singer and actress Mary Hatcher attended the school.

The Hillsborough River is a river located in the state of Florida in the United States. It arises in the Green Swamp near the juncture of Hillsborough, Pasco and Polk counties, and flows 60 miles (97 km) through Pasco and Hillsborough Counties to an outlet in the city of Tampa on Hillsborough Bay. It includes 4 nature trails extending for over 7 miles (11 km), making it perfect for hikers. The name Hillsborough River first appeared on a British map in 1769. At the time, the Earl of Hillsborough was the British Secretary of State for the Colonies, and thus controlled the pensions of the surveyors working in the American colonies, which included East Florida.

The Henry B. Plant Museum (Plant Museum) is located in the south wing of Plant Hall on the University of Tampa's campus, located at 401 West Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa, Florida. Plant Hall was originally built by Henry B. Plant as the Tampa Bay Hotel; a 511-room resort-style hotel that opened on February 5, 1891, near the terminus of the Plant System rail line, also forged and owned by Plant. The Plant Museum's exhibits focus on historical Gilded Age tourism in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, the elite lifestyle of the hotel's guests, and the Tampa Bay Hotel's use during the Spanish–American War. As such, the Plant Museum is set up in the Historic House Museum style. Exhibits display artifacts in a manner that reflects the original placement and usage within the related historic building. The Tampa Bay Hotel was designed by architect J.A. Wood, who also designed the Old Hillsborough County Courthouse in 1892 in Tampa, Florida, as well as the Oglethorpe Hotel and the Mahoney-McGarvey House in Brunswick, Georgia.

The Old School House is a historic landmark located on the University of Tampa campus in Tampa, Florida, United States. Built in 1858, it is one of Tampa's oldest standing buildings, and has been relocated twice from its original site. On December 4, 1974, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in recognition of its cultural and historical significance. Since 1931, the School House has been supported by the DeSoto Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Today, the building stands as a testament to Tampa's rich history and architectural heritage, and is open for viewing by appointment and during semi-annual open house events.

The Macdonald–Kelce Library is a library serving the University of Tampa. Named after John L. Macdonald and Merl C. Kelce, the library opened on October 19, 1969. The building was designed by the architectural firm Fletcher-Valenti of Tampa, Florida.

Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is a 1,041-bed non-profit, tertiary, research and academic medical center located on Davis Island in Tampa, Florida, servicing western Florida and the greater Tampa Bay region. TGH is one of the region's only university-level academic medical centers. Tampa General Hospital is the primary teaching affiliate of the Morsani College of Medicine of University of South Florida. TGH also features the area's only ACS designated level I adult and pediatric trauma center and has a rooftop helipad to handle medevac patients. Attached to the medical center is the Tampa General Hospital Children's Medical Center that treats infants, children, adolescents, and young adults up to the age of 21.Tampa General Hospital has more than 8,000 team members and is one of five burn centers in Florida.
