The Great Madras, formerly the Grand Madras Hotel, is a boutique hotel in Singapore. Initially a Singapore Improvement Trust block, it became the Grand Madras Hotel in 1990s.

Rochor MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Downtown Line (DTL) in Rochor, Singapore. Located between Sungei Road and Rochor Canal Road, the station serves landmarks such as Sim Lim Square, The Verge, the LASALLE College of the Arts and Tekka Centre. The station is operated by SBS Transit. The station was first announced in July 2008 when the DTL Stage 2 (DTL2) were revealed. The construction of the station, which began in 2009, was one of the most challenging projects on the DTL, involving multiple realignments of the arterial roads and the Rochor Canal while being constructed in soft marine clay. The station, which opened on 27 December 2015 along with the DTL2 stations, was designed by Architects61, and it features an Art-in-Transit artwork Tracing Memories by students of LASALLE.

Sim Lim Square (Chinese: 森林商業中心, Pinyin: Sēn Lín Shāngyè Zhōngxīn), commonly referred to as SLS, is a large retail complex in Singapore that offers a wide variety of electronic goods and services ranging from DVDs, cameras, phones, video cameras, and computer parts and servicing. Located at 1 Rochor Canal Road, SLS is situated in central Singapore, near historic features such as the Little India district and one of the earliest HDB developments. SLS is accessible via MRT at Rochor MRT station of Downtown line. After several reports of incidents of fraud faced by tourists, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and Vietnamese newspapers published a warning about purchasing electronics from Sim Lim Square.

Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah is a full-time, private Islamic institution of learning in Singapore, one of the six such madrasahs in Singapore. The Indian Heritage Centre (Tamil: இந்திய மரபுடமை நிலையம்) is a cultural centre and museum in Singapore that showcases the culture, heritage and history of Indian Singaporeans. Located at the Campbell Lane thoroughfare in the Little India precinct, the 3,090 square metres (33,300 sq ft) centre was launched on 7 May 2015.The facade's architectural style is influenced by the baoli (or Indian stepwell), to seek an appreciation of the Indian culture.

Jalan Besar MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Downtown Line in Rochor, Singapore. The station is located under Jalan Besar, at the junction with Weld Road, hence its name. The station was first announced as Sungei Road MRT station in August 2010. The former Sungei Road Thieves' Market was located next to this station. Jalan Besar station is within walking distances to Rochor MRT station and Bugis MRT station.

2 Kampong Kapor Road, formerly the Kampong Kapor Community Centre, is a building on Kampong Kapor Road in Rochor, Singapore. It formerly served as a community centre for the Kampong Kapor neighbourhood.

LASALLE College of the Arts (informally LASALLE) is a publicly-funded post-secondary arts institution, and a soon-to-be University of the Arts by 2023 in alliance with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore. Founded in 1984, LASALLE has eight art and design schools that offer more than 30 diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in contemporary arts and design education. The Church of Our Lady of Lourdes (Tamil: தூய லூர்து அன்னை ஆலயம்) is a Catholic church in Singapore. It is located at Ophir Road in the Rochor Planning Area, within the Central Area in Singapore's central business district.

The Verge, formerly Tekka Mall, (Chinese: 德卡廊), was the first and largest modern shopping mall at the Little India precinct in Singapore, being opened in 2003. The Verge had two buildings, the main building and Chill @ The Verge. It was located on the southern part of Little India, with the main building is located at the junction of Serangoon Road and Sungei Road and the Chill @ The Verge is located at the junction of Perak Road and Sungei Road. Both of the buildings were separated by Clive Street and the mall lies opposite of Tekka Centre across Serangoon Road. The complex was demolished in 2017 to make way for redevelopment after 14 years of operation, making it one of the youngest malls in Singapore to shut its doors.

Sungei Road (Chinese: 双溪路) is a road in Singapore situated between Serangoon Road and Jalan Besar and runs along the Rochor Canal. The area around Sungei Road formerly housed affluent Europeans and Asians, and many ornately designed buildings were built there. Since the 1930s, the road has been synonymous with Sungei Road laksa (a local spicy noodle soup) and the Thieves' Market, the largest and oldest flea market in Singapore, where locals can shop for old bric-a-brac or second-hand goods. The market was permanently closed on 10 July 2017 for "future residential development use".

Fu Lu Shou Complex is a shopping centre built in 1983 located at Bugis, Singapore that specialises in Daoist and Buddhist religious paraphernalia.
