Lutz is an unincorporated census-designated place (CDP) in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States, 15 miles (24 km) north of Tampa. The northern part of Lutz also makes up a portion of south Pasco County. The population was 23,707 according to the 2020 Census.

Hungry Harry's Famous Barbecue is a barbecue restaurant in Land o' Lakes, Florida, United States. Established in 1985 on U.S. 41, it is considered a landmark and features in community celebrations and fundraisers. Owner Harry Wright serves on the board of the Suncoast Harvest Food Bank and was grand marshal of the community's annual Flapjack Festival parade in 2005.The restaurant is on 5.8 acres including 350 feet of lake frontage. The business also operates a catering food truck business. and opened a location in Seffner in 2005. It was selected by a Land o' Lakes School as one of Land o' Lakes's "seven wonders" along with the Land o' Lakes Library, Land o' Lakes Recreation Center WalMart, Target, Oakstead Elementary School and the McDonald's with motorcycles in the play area. The St. Petersburg Times noted in 2010 that while Seffner was without a Starbucks or Panera Bread, the Hungry Harry's "just added 'red neck nachos' to the menu."

Bloomingdale High School, located in Valrico, Florida, was built around the same time and has the same architectural design. The school serves the communities of Northdale, Carrollwood Village, Lake Magdalene and other parts of northern Hillsborough County, such as Avila, and parts of southern Lutz.

Sunlake High School is a public high school in Pasco County, Florida, located off Sunlake Boulevard and State Road 54 in Land O' Lakes, Florida. It is adjacent to Charles S. Rushe Middle School, both of which opened on August 20, 2007. Sunlake did not open with a senior class. It relieved overcrowding at Land O' Lakes High School and J.W. Mitchell High School. By the 2008–09 school year, Sunlake students formed all four classes, 9th–12th grades. Its first principal was Angela Stone (2007–2010).

George M. Steinbrenner High School is a public high school in Lutz, Florida. It is located adjacent to McKitrick Elementary and Martinez Middle School. The school was named in honor of late New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, a Tampa resident.Steinbrenner opened August 25, 2009, with about 1600 students.
