Lake Stemper is a lake in Hillsborough County, Florida, in the United States.Lake Stemper was named for Father Francis Xavier Augustus Stemper, a Catholic priest who oversaw a local mission.

The school serves the communities of Northdale, Carrollwood Village, Lake Magdalene and other parts of northern Hillsborough County, such as Avila, and parts of southern Lutz.

Academy at the Lakes is a private-independent college preparatory co-educational PreK3–12 school in Land o' Lakes, Florida (metropolitan Tampa). The school is non-denominational school and has two campuses separated by Collier Parkway. The Wendlek Campus is located on the east side of the street and the McCormick campus is located on the lakefront of Lake Myrtle on the west side. The Academy currently educates more than 400 students each year and provides its students with abundant opportunities in athletics, the arts, character formation, and community participation. Students and families are divided and assigned within a "house system". Hungry Harry's Famous Barbecue is a barbecue restaurant in Land o' Lakes, Florida, United States. Established in 1985 on U.S. 41, it is considered a landmark and features in community celebrations and fundraisers. Owner Harry Wright serves on the board of the Suncoast Harvest Food Bank and was grand marshal of the community's annual Flapjack Festival parade in 2005.The restaurant is on 5.8 acres including 350 feet of lake frontage. The business also operates a catering food truck business. and opened a location in Seffner in 2005. It was selected by a Land o' Lakes School as one of Land o' Lakes's "seven wonders" along with the Land o' Lakes Library, Land o' Lakes Recreation Center WalMart, Target, Oakstead Elementary School and the McDonald's with motorcycles in the play area. The St. Petersburg Times noted in 2010 that while Seffner was without a Starbucks or Panera Bread, the Hungry Harry's "just added 'red neck nachos' to the menu."

The Arthenia L. Joyner University Area Community Library is a member of the Tampa–Hillsborough County Public Library System (THPL) and the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative (HCPLC). It is a 15,000 square foot facility located adjacent to Muller Elementary Magnet School on 13619 North 22nd St. In addition to serving as a public library, the location also serves a partnership library with the Hillsborough County Public School system. The library doubles as a media center for the Mueller Elementary Magnet School during school hours and as a public library during all operating hours. University is an unincorporated census-designated place in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. The population was 41,163 at the 2010 census, up from 30,736 at the 2000 census. The University of South Florida is located just southeast of the community, within the Tampa city limits. The community is also known as "University West", mainly due to its location in relation to the university. The community is often notoriously referred to by locals as "Suitcase City" due to the high rate of transients.
