The National Uniform Billing Committee (NUBC) is the governing body for forms and codes use in medical claims billing in the United States for institutional providers like hospitals, nursing homes, hospice, home health agencies, and other providers. The NUBC was formed by the American Hospital Association (AHA) in 1975. All the major national provider and payer organizations participate in discussions and decisions on policy and guidelines.In 1982, after much work and debate, the UB-82 emerged as the endorsed national uniform bill. After an 8-year moratorium on change, the UB-82 was replaced by UB-92, and became the standard for billing paper institutional medical claims in the United States, until creation of the UB-04. With the onset of HIPAA and the transition to electronic claims submission for reimbursement, NUBC has become the steward of the related data specifications for medical claims coding on electronic institutional claims.

155 North Wacker is a 48-story skyscraper located in Chicago, Illinois designed by Goettsch Partners and was developed by the John Buck Company. It stands 638 feet (195 m). It has received LEED silver pre-certification. The construction started in 2007 and was completed in 2009.

110 North Wacker, also known as the Bank of America Tower, is a 57-floor Chicago skyscraper located at 110 North Wacker Drive. It was developed by the Howard Hughes Corporation and Riverside Investment & Development. It was designed by Goettsch Partners with construction by Clark Construction. Structural engineering was by Thornton Tomasetti. A topping-out ceremony was held in September 2019 and the building officially opened in on October 14, 2020.With a height of 816.83 feet (248.97 m) and containing 57 stories, it is the tallest all-commercial building in Chicago since Two Prudential Plaza in 1990. Bank of America has committed to leasing 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) of office space in the building. Perkins Coie has also signed a lease to the building.

The Wigwam was a convention center and meeting hall that served as the site of the 1860 Republican National Convention. It was located in Chicago, Illinois, at Lake Street and Market (later Wacker Drive) near the Chicago River. This site had previously been the site of the Sauganash Hotel, Chicago's first hotel. This is where supporters ushered Abraham Lincoln to the party nomination and the eventual U.S. Presidency. The location at Lake and Wacker was designated a Chicago Landmark on November 6, 2002. The name "Wigwam", although separate structures, was later associated with host locations for both the 1864 Democratic National Convention and the 1892 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Sauganash Hotel (originally Eagle Exchange Tavern) is a former hotel; regarded as the first hotel in Chicago, Illinois. Built in 1831, it was located at Wolf Point in the present day Loop community area at the intersection of the north, south and main branches of the Chicago River. The location at West Lake Street and North Wacker Drive (formerly Market Street) was designated a Chicago Landmark on November 6, 2002. The hotel changed proprietors often in its twenty-year existence and briefly served as Chicago's first theater. It was named after Sauganash, an interpreter in the British Indian Department.

191 North Wacker is a 516 ft (157m) tall skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. It was constructed from 2000 to 2002 and has 37 floors, 14 elevators, and 737,759 square feet of floor space. Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates designed the building, which is the 77th tallest in Chicago. Tenants include LSC Communications.

The Washington Street Tunnel was the first traffic tunnel under the Chicago River. J.L. Lake was awarded the contract to construct the tunnel in July 1867 and its construction was completed January 1, 1869. This tunnel was 1605 feet long, from Franklin Street west to Clinton Street, and cost $517,000.

150 North Riverside Plaza is a highrise building in Chicago, Illinois, completed in 2017. The building is 54 stories tall. The building occupies a two-acre site on the west bank of the Chicago River, whose size and location demanded an unusually small base for the building. The building features 1.2 million square feet (110,000 m2) of leasable office space. Due to its unique superstructure design, it encompasses just 25 percent of the lot. In 2019, the building was given the Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects' highest award for design excellence.

The Boeing International Headquarters (colloquially known as the Boeing Building and formerly known as the Morton-Thiokol International Building) is a 36-floor skyscraper located in the Near West Side of Chicago. The building, at 100 North Riverside Plaza, is located on the west side of the Chicago River directly across from the downtown Loop. The building was designed with a structural system that uses steel trusses to support its suspended southwest corner in order to clear the Amtrak and Metra railroad tracks immediately beneath it. The building was originally constructed for the Morton Salt Company in 1990, but became largely vacant a decade later after the company was acquired and downsized. Boeing moved their corporate headquarters there in 2001 when they opted to leave Seattle for Chicago. Navteq moved their headquarters to the Boeing Building in 2007. It has also housed offices of Ameritech.. By 2021, with Boeing executives handling political and economical fallout from the Boeing 737 MAX groundings and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on aviation, Reuters reported that the shift in priorities rendered the building a "ghost town". Boeing ultimately announced the following year that it would move its corporate headquarters to Arlington, Virginia, where its defense division is located; the division relocated there from St. Louis in 2017.
