The Guimarães railway station is part of the Linha de Guimarães, that serves the municipality of Guimarães, on the Braga District, in Portugal. It opened its doors on April 14, 1884.

The Vila Flor Cultural Centre (Portuguese: Centro Cultural Vila Flor), also known as CCVF (English: VFCC), is the most important cultural facility of Guimarães, located on the D. Afonso Henriques Avenue. It is Guimarães' main cultural centre. Completed in September 2005, it was born out of the restoration of the Vila Flor Palace and surrounding spaces, a project by the Pitagoras Group.

The Fábrica do Arquinho (English: Arquinho Factory) was a textile factory located in the Caldeiroa Street, in the freguesia of Urgezes. It used to be one of the most important factories of Guimarães since it gave jobs to hundreds of people for many years until its closure in the last decade of the 20th century.

The Jordão Theatre, (Portuguese: Teatro Jordão), was inaugurated in the city of Guimarães on 20 November 1938, with the official name of Martins Sarmento Theatre, due to a political decision communicated days before its opening. It was the initiative of businessman Bernardino Jordão (1868-1940), concessionaire for electricity in Guimarães, who entrusted the project and construction management to architect and civil engineer Júlio José de Brito (1896-1965), whose best-known work is the Rivoli Theatre in Porto.

Pavilhão Multiusos (also known as Multiusos de Guimarães) is an multi-purpose arena in Guimarães, Portugal, which is primarily used for hosting fairs, exhibitions, congresses, concerts and sporting events since 2001. It has a total capacity of 7,000 people (3,000 seats).It was selected by broadcaster RTP to host the final of the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, the Festival da Canção, on 4 March 2018.

The Caldeiroa Street (Portuguese: Rua da Caldeiroa) is a very important street in the Portuguese city of Guimarães, since it once had a huge part of the city's industry and factories. Its name origin was lost to time.

The Comunidade Intermunicipal do Ave (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈav(ɨ)]) is an administrative division in Portugal. It was created in 2009. It takes its name from the Ave River. The seat of the intermunicipal community is Guimarães. Ave comprises parts of the former districts of Braga and Vila Real. The population in 2011 was 425,411, in an area of 1,451.31 km².Ave is also a NUTS3 subregion of Norte Region. Since January 2015, the NUTS 3 subregion covers the same area as the intermunicipal community.Ave is bordered to the north by Cávado, to the east by Alto Tâmega, to the southeast by Douro, to the south by Tâmega e Sousa and to the southwest by the Metropolitan Area of Porto. It is a densely populated area and one of the more industrialized in the country. The main industries are the textile industry, clothing and apparel. Part of the historical region of Minho, it is centered on the historic city of Guimarães (the birthplace of the Portuguese nationalism).

The St. Peter's Basilica (Portuguese: Basílica de São Pedro) also called St. Peter's Church Is a Catholic church built in neoclassical style in the parish of Oliveira, São Paio and São Sebastião, Guimaraes in the north of the European country of Portugal. Its origin dates back to the beginning of the 17th century, although the work only began in 1737. By 1750 the chapel was blessed. The formal completion of the work was between 1883 and 1884, although the façade had not been completed, and the second bell tower is still missing. The cathedral was desecrated during the Napoleonic Wars and was used as a stable. It received the title of minor basilica in 1751 from Pope Benedict XIV. The basilica follows a neoclassical style, very austere and simple.

The Toural Square (Portuguese: Largo do Toural), commonly referred as just Toural, is the most important square and place of gathering on the Portuguese city of Guimarães. It began in the 17th century as a place to sell bulls (Touro in Portuguese), oxen and other goods. Unlike the rest of the city, pigeons aren’t commonly found in the Toural, but swallows are.

Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Oliveira is a collegiate church in Guimarães, Portugal. It is classified as a National Monument.

The Padrão Comemorativo da Batalha do Salado, commonly referred to as just Padrão do Salado, is a 14th century monument located in the freguesia of Oliveira, São Paio e São Sebastião, inside the Historic Center of Guimarães area, in Portugal. Located in front of the Church of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira, the Padrão do Salado has been classified as a National Monument since 1910.
