Vizela River (Portuguese pronunciation: [viˈzɛlɐ]) is a river in Portugal. It flows into Ave River and it is named after the city of Vizela.

Estádio do CD das Aves is a multi-use stadium in Vila das Aves, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Clube Desportivo das Aves. The stadium holds 8,560 people and was built in 1981. It underwent many renovations during the new millennium especially in the year 2000, when Desportivo das Aves gained promotion to the Primeira Liga for the second time in their history. When the stadium was built, there were 12,500 seats available, but it currently seats only 8,560 after the club decided to remove some of its seats. The French national football team used the stadium as a training ground in preparation for UEFA Euro 2004. The French side reached the quarter final stage of the competition after being knocked out of the tournament by eventual winners Greece thanks to a goal by Angelos Charisteas.

Aves is an industrial town and civil parish (freguesia) in northern Portugal. The population in 2011 was 8,458, in an area of 6.16 km². It is located in the municipality of Santo Tirso, 6 km to the northeast of the municipality seat, the city of Santo Tirso proper, bordering the parish of Lordelo in the municipality of Guimarães. Aves is nowadays, after Santo Tirso itself, the most important town in the municipality of Santo Tirso.

São Tomé de Negrelos is located 10 km northeast of the city of Santo Tirso near Vila das Aves. Located in the north of Portugal. The population in 2011 was 4,032, in an area of 6.12 km².

Burgães is a former civil parish in the municipality of Santo Tirso, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Santo Tirso, Couto (Santa Cristina e São Miguel) e Burgães. It is located northeast in the city of Santo Tirso. Population 2,244 (2001 Census), its area was 5.06 km2. It has several industrial facilities.

Carreira e Bente is a civil parish in the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal. It was formed in 2013 by the merger of the former parishes Carreira and Bente. The population in 2011 was 2,576, in an area of 3.58 km2.

Sequeirô is a former civil parish in the municipality of Santo Tirso, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Areias, Sequeiró, Lama e Palmeira. It is located 3 km north of the city of Santo Tirso.

Monte Córdova is a civil parish in the Portuguese municipality of Santo Tirso, located 4 kilometres east of the municipal seat. The population in 2011 was 3,958, in an area of 16.80 km2 (6.49 sq mi).

Lama is a former civil parish in the municipality of Santo Tirso, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Areias, Sequeiró, Lama e Palmeira. It is located 2 km north of the city of Santo Tirso.

Bente is a former civil parish in the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão in the Minho region, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Carreira e Bente. Its surface area is 1.30 km² and its population, in 2001, was 959.

São Miguel do Couto is a former civil parish in the municipality of Santo Tirso, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Santo Tirso, Couto (Santa Cristina e São Miguel) e Burgães. It is located southeast in the city of Santo Tirso, near the bottom of Monte Cordova Hill. At the 2001 census, it had a population of 1,292. It covers 2.39 km² of area, most of which is residential although there are some textile industry facilities here, too. In 907, Count Hermenegildo González, governor of the Condado Portucalense, was born here.

Santo Tirso (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈsɐ̃tu ˈtiɾsu] ) is a city and municipality located in the north of Porto Metropolitan Area, 25 km from central Porto, Portugal. In the region, the Ave Valley, there is a large center of textile industry. The population in 2011 was 71,530, in an area of 136.60 km².Another important center in the municipality is Aves. The Santo Tirso Monastery built in 978 is a point of interest.
