Stadtmuller House

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) is an international non-profit digital rights group based in San Francisco, California. The foundation was formed on 10 July 1990 by John Gilmore, John Perry Barlow and Mitch Kapor to promote Internet civil liberties. The EFF provides funds for legal defense in court, presents amicus curiae briefs, defends individuals and new technologies from what it considers abusive legal threats, works to expose government malfeasance, provides guidance to the government and courts, organizes political action and mass mailings, supports some new technologies which it believes preserve personal freedoms and online civil liberties, maintains a database and web sites of related news and information, monitors and challenges potential legislation that it believes would infringe on personal liberties and fair use and solicits a list of what it considers abusive patents with intentions to defeat those that it considers without merit.

St. Paulus Lutheran Church was a historic church at 999 Eddy Street in San Francisco, California. The church was built from 1892 to 1894 next to Jefferson Square and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The church was destroyed by fire on November 5, 1995.The site was converted to a community garden. On October 7, 2014, the SF real estate website Socketsite announced the church had put the site up for sale.Construction was underway at the site in April 2019, and Saint Paulus is scheduled to reopen at this original site before the end of 2023. On October 5, 1980, the church became San Francisco Landmark number 116. The church's landmark status was rescinded after the 1995 fire.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, commonly known as SHC or SH, is a Catholic school located in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Founded in 1852, Sacred Heart Cathedral is the oldest Catholic secondary school and was the first co-ed Catholic high school in San Francisco. SHC is owned by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco.

The Vollmer House is a historic house built between 1876 to 1885, and located in Lower Pacific Heights area in San Francisco, California. The house is known for its outstanding decorative details on the exterior. It was listed as a California Historical Landmark since March 8, 1973; and on the National Register of Historic Places as "Building at 1735–1737 Webster Street" on March 8, 1973.

The building at 1840–1842 Eddy Street, also known as the Martian O'Dea House, is a historic Stick/Eastlake house created in 1875 in the Western Addition neighborhood of San Francisco, California. It is notable for its architecture. It has been listed as a listed California Historical Landmark since 1973, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Family Service Agency of San Francisco (FSA) was founded in 1889 as Associated Charities by Katharine Felton (1873-1940). FSASF is the oldest nonsectarian, nonprofit charitable social-services provider in the City and County of San Francisco. It relies on contributions from government, private donors, and private clients. FSA focuses on strengthening families by providing caring, effective, and innovative social services, with special emphasis on the needs of low-income families, children, and the elderly, and disabled people, thus improving the quality of life for all San Franciscans.

California Hall, originally named Das Deutsches Haus (English: The German House), is a historic commercial building and event venue built in 1912, and located in the Civic Center neighborhood in San Francisco, California. It started as a German social meeting hall.At the 1965 Year Years Ball, a fundraiser took place in the building for many gay charities, and brought trouble with the police and a legal battle. The event marked a turning point in gay rights in the west coast. It later was a popular concert hall in the mid-1960s and 1970s; performers that played at the California Hall include Jefferson Airplane, Moby Grape, Big Brother and the Holding Company, the Grateful Dead, and Quicksilver Messenger Service.The building previously housed the California Culinary Academy, and it is presently part of the Academy of Art University campus. The California Hall has been listed as a San Francisco Designated Landmark since October 7, 1984.

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC or PUC) is a regulatory agency that regulates privately owned public utilities in the state of California, including electric power, telecommunications, natural gas and water companies. In addition, the CPUC regulates common carriers, including household goods movers, passenger transportation companies such as limousine services, and rail crossing safety. The CPUC has headquarters in the Civic Center district of San Francisco, and field offices in Los Angeles and Sacramento.

Goodman Building, also known as the Emeric Building and the St. Beryl Hotel, is a historic commercial and residential building, built in 1860 and located at 1117 Geary Boulevard in Cathedral Hill, San Francisco, California.The building is listed as a San Francisco Designated Landmark since February 28, 1975, for the historical cultural value as it was an artist community and not for architectural significance.

The First Unitarian Church, nicknamed "Starr King's church", is a church structure built in 1889 and is located at 1187 Franklin Street at Geary Street in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood, San Francisco, California.

The Mitchell Brothers O'Farrell Theatre was a strip club at 895 O'Farrell Street near San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. Having first opened as an X-rated movie theater by Jim and Artie Mitchell on July 4, 1969, the O'Farrell was one of America's oldest and most notorious adult-entertainment establishments. The club closed in 2020 after a few years of struggling financially. By 1980, the nightspot had popularized close-contact lap dancing, which would become the norm in strip clubs nationwide. Journalist Hunter S. Thompson, a longtime friend of the Mitchells and frequent visitor at the club, went there frequently during the summer of 1985 as part of his research for a possible book on pornography. Thompson called the O'Farrell "the Carnegie Hall of public sex in America" and Playboy magazine praised it as "the place to go in San Francisco!"
