Sandy River Delta

Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site is a state park in eastern Multnomah County, Oregon, near Troutdale and Corbett, and is administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. It is located on the Sandy River, near its confluence with the Columbia River. Broughton's Bluff marks the westernmost extent of the Columbia River Gorge at the site. The site is open for day use only. It offers a developed picnic area and pet exercise area, as well as picnicking and swimming along the Sandy River. A ramp provides boat access to the river, and trails allow rock climbing on Broughton's Bluff. The Lewis and Clark Expedition explored the area along both rivers. The site includes interpretive markers about the expedition and other historic themes. Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site lies within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.

Historic Columbia River Hwy, Troutdale, OR 97060 The park is along the Sandy River and Beaver Creek. Several drownings have occurred along the river. A community organization has subsequently partnered with the city to provide lifeguard services.The park named was changed from Troutdale Community Park to Glenn Otto Park in 1995 in honor a former mayor of Troutdale, Glenn Otto.

Bissinger Wool Pullery was a wool pullery business in Troutdale, Oregon. Adolph Bissinger, Samuel Bissinger, Louis Bissinger, and Louis Gerstle founded the business in the 1880s. The operation removed wool from sheep hides and processed the wool into bale, to be shipped out for further processing. The site has been the subject of contamination cleanup efforts and has been considered for waterfront redevelopment.
