The Whitewater Hotel in Whitewater, Wisconsin was built in 1894.It was renovated in 2006.According to the National Park Service: Between its construction in 1894 and its general demise as a functioning hotel around 1952, the Whitewater Hotel was an important component in the commercial life of the city of Whitewater. During this period, Whitewater's economy was almost entirely dependent upon commerce and the only area of growth was in agricultural commerce. The Whitewater Hotel had a prime location near businesses catering to agricultural commerce. The Hotel's location across the street from the Whitewater Passenger Depot gave it a ready-made clientele for people using the railroad. In 2006 the Whitewater Hotel was renovated under the federal and state tax credit program for the historic renovation of National Register-eligible buildings. Today, the building is used for apartments and a cafe. The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on January 21, 2010. The listing was announced as the featured listing in the National Park Service's weekly list of January 29, 2010.

The University of Wisconsin–Whitewater (UW–Whitewater or UWW) is a public university in Whitewater, Wisconsin. It is part of the University of Wisconsin System. Student enrollment in the 2014–2015 academic year was more than 12,000. The university offers 47 undergraduate majors and 13 graduate programs. Approximately 1,400 faculty and staff are employed by the university, and the student body consists of individuals from about 40 US states and 30 countries.

The Halverson Log Cabin is located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.It is a one-story 16 by 20.5 feet (4.9 m × 6.2 m) log cabin which was built in 1846 by Norwegian immigrant Gullik Halverson, who came to Wisconsin in 1845 when 23 years old. He came with his parents from Valebo, Norway.It is built of apparently hand-hewn logs, with dovetailed corners.It was moved to its current location in 1907.

The Harold Andersen Library (also referred to as Andersen Library or HAL) is the university library of the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. The building was named after Harold Gilbert Andersen, and ground breaking and construction for the building began on April 9, 1951.

Perkins Stadium is a stadium in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Primarily used for American football, it is the home field of the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater "Warhawks". Opened in 1970 as Warhawks Stadium, the facility originally held 11,000 people. It was renamed Perkins Stadium on September 14, 1996, in honor of former football coach Forrest Perkins. The stadium hosts the MACBDA Championships and the WSMA State Marching Band Championships. Drum Corps International held its annual Drum & Bugle Corps World Championships at the stadium in 1972 and 1973. The stadium received new synthetic turf, bench areas, landscaping and other improvements, including upgrades to the entrance area and scoreboard, in 2008. With this upgrade the new seating capacity is now at 13,500, making it the largest stadium in Division III. On October 3, 2015, a record crowd of 15,287 was recorded for a game. That mark was shattered on October 8, 2016, when the Warhawks defeated the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh 17–14 in front of a crowd of 17,535 fans, then broken again on October 13, 2022, for a Friday night game between the same teams with 18,951 in attendance. The record was broken again at the October 7, 2023 game against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where 20,113 people were in attendance. That not only broke the previous Perkins Stadium record, but also broke the NCAA Division III record for attendance. On September 23, 2017, the NCAA record was broken by a St. Thomas vs. Saint John's contest that was hosted at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. However, the October 2023 game maintains the largest crowd for a Division III game played at a non-neutral site.

Whitewater High School is a high school located in the city of Whitewater, Wisconsin, United States. It is a part of the Whitewater Unified School District. It serves students from the city and town of Whitewater and portions of the nearby communities of Richmond, La Grange, Cold Spring, Koshkonong, Lima and Johnstown in Walworth, Jefferson and Rock counties.

Whitewater Effigy Mounds Preserve (also known as The Indian Mounds Park or as the Maples Mounds Group) is a park operated by the city of Whitewater, Wisconsin. The 21.5-acre park is located on the west side of the city. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
