Fort Santa Apolónia

The Convento de Madre de Deus, or Madre de Deus Convent, is a former convent and church in Lisbon, Portugal, which houses the National Museum of the Azulejo. It is classified as a National Monument.

The Museu Nacional do Azulejo (Portuguese for National Museum of the Azulejo), occasionally known in English as the National Tile Museum, is an art museum in Lisbon, Portugal dedicated to the azulejo, traditional tilework of Portugal and the former Portuguese Empire, as well as of other Iberophone cultures. Housed in the former Madre de Deus Convent, the museum's collection is one of the largest of ceramics in the world.

The Palace and Gardens of Panaca (Portuguese: Palácio Panaca e Jardims), sometimes characterized as the Palácio Palha (for the Pereiras, Farias, and Almeidas families) is a palace within the Santa Engrácia area of the civil parish of São Vicente, in the municipality in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.

The Museu da Água (Water Museum) is located in Lisbon, Portugal.The museum, the former steam pumping station of Barbadinhos, Lisbon, built in 1880, is in a 19th-century industrial building. The museum features four large steam engines dating from 1880. One has been reconditioned as a working demonstration. The pumps were in use until 1928. The museum also features portions of Lisbon's 1746 aqueduct. In 1990 the museum was awarded the Council of Europe Museum Prize.

Santa Engrácia (English: Saint Engratia) is a former parish (freguesia) in the municipality of Lisbon, Portugal. At the administrative reorganization of Lisbon on 8 December 2012 it became part of the parish São Vicente. It has a total area of 0.57 km2 and total population of 5,860 inhabitants (2001); density: 10,335.1 inhabitants/km2. The parish was created in 1959, after the Santo Estêvao de Alfama de-annexation. The parish name was intended to honor the catholic martyr Santa Engracia of Zaragoza, later on the King Manuel I daughter, Infanta Maria built a church in the parish to receive a reliquary of the said martyr. After being almost destroyed by a severe storm, the church was rebuilt and eventually received the National Pantheon classification.

Alto de São João Cemetery (Portuguese: Cemitério do Alto de São João) is the largest cemetery in Lisbon, Portugal, located in the freguesia (civil parish) of Penha de França, in eastern Lisbon (formerly, within the parish of São João).Similar to Prazeres Cemetery, it is the resting place for many prominent figures, from literature to the arts, from science to politics, from working class to nobility, side by side with anonymous citizens who are buried and cremated there. The cemetery is public and receives residents from several freguesias in the capital.The cemetery is composed of mausoleums, temporary and perpetual graves, crypts, ossuaries and columbaria. Also noteworthy are the Crypt of Combatants of the Great War and the Memorial of the Tarrafal concentration camp victims.

São Vicente (Portuguese pronunciation: [sɐ̃w̃ viˈsẽtɨ]) is a freguesia (civil parish) and district of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Located in the historic center of Lisbon, São Vicente is to the east of Santa Maria Maior, south of Arroios, and west of Penha de França. São Vicente is home to numerous historic neighborhoods, including Alfama. The population in 2011 was 15,339.

The Santa Apolónia Station is the oldest railway terminus in Portugal. Situated in the civil parish of São Vicente, in the central part of the municipality of Lisbon, on the northern margin of the Tagus River in the historical district of Alfama.

The Church of Santa Engrácia (Portuguese: Igreja de Santa Engrácia, pronounced [iˈɣɾeʒɐ ðɨ ˈsɐ̃tɐ ẽˈɡɾasiɐ]) is a 17th-century monument in Lisbon, Portugal. Originally a church it was converted into the National Pantheon (Panteão Nacional, pronounced [pɐ̃tiˈɐ̃w̃ nɐsiuˈnaɫ]), in which important Portuguese personalities are buried. It is located in the Alfama neighborhood, close to another important Lisbon monument, the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora.

Santa Apolónia station is the southern terminus on the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro.

The Pantheon of the House of Braganza (Portuguese: Panteão da Casa de Bragança), also known as the Pantheon of the Braganzas (Panteão dos Bragança), is the final resting place for many of the members of the House of Braganza, located in the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora in the Alfama district of Lisbon, Portugal. The pantheon's burials have included Portuguese monarchs, Brazilian monarchs, a Romanian monarch, queen consorts of Portugal, and notable Infantes of Portugal, among others.

Palácio do Grilo (English: Grilo Palace) classified as Public Interest Monument since 2011, also known as the Palace of the Dukes of Lafões (Portuguese: Palácio dos Duques de Lafões), is located at the corner of Grilo Street with the Dukes of Lafões Sidewalk, standing in the Beato parish in the heart of the city of Lisbon.The structure constitutes an architectural complex of the 18th century and predominantly Neoclassic style punctuated by baroque expressions and motifs. The construction of the building is intimately related to a few historical contingencies that have witnessed the Palace's extensive erection process.
