Sambizanga is one of the six urban districts that make up the municipality of Luanda, in the province of Luanda, Angola.

Luanda Bay is a body of water, located in front of the city of Luanda, capital of Angola. In front of the bay are located several monuments of great historical value, such as the Banco de Angola Building and the Church of Nossa Senhora da Nazaré. The bay, whose waters are protected by the island of Luanda, was the place of foundation of the city of Luanda by Paulo Dias de Novais in 1575/1576. On the banks of the bay, the so-called Cidade Baixa de Luanda grew, where most of the city's population settled, while Cidade Alta de Luanda was formed as an administrative and military center. Luanda Bay was an immense bay that extended from cape of the Lagostas (Cacuaco Cove) to Corimba cape, close to the Vala do Samba River, isolated in the Atlantic Ocean by another major geographical accident, the island of Luanda. This geographical configuration lasted until the first half of the 20th century, when the natural channel that formed the great bay of Luanda was earthworks for the construction of a passage on Avenida 4 de Fevereiro (in English: February 4th avenue). Thus, an avenue separated the northern portion from the southern portion of the Luanda bay, forming a new geographical accident, which received the name of Samba bay, but with characteristics similar to an estuary. The southern part of the island of Luanda became the Chicala cape, a new peninsula.

Campo Mário Santiago is a football stadium in Angola owned by football club Progresso Associação do Sambizanga. Located in the club's home neighborhood of Sambizanga, the 8,000-seat stadium whose rehabilitation began in 1996 with private funding and stopped afterwards for lack of funding, resumed in 2016 under a sponsorship deal with the Fundação Eduardo dos Santos (FESA). The stadium's capacity is expected to be increased to 18,000 seats following the 18-month-long rehabilitation.

Ilha do Cabo (English: Cape Island) typically known as Ilha de Luanda (English: Island of Luanda) is a spit off the shore of Luanda, the capital of Angola, a country on the continents' southwestern coast. It consists of a low sandy strip formed by sedimentation. In administrative terms, the peninsula belongs to the municipality of Ingombota in the Luanda Province.

Cazenga is a city and the most densely populated of the nine municipalities that make up the province of Luanda, Angola. It has a population of 892,401 (2014 census), with an estimated 1,045,722 in 2019, covering an area of 37 km2.

The Embassy of Sweden in Luanda was Sweden's diplomatic mission in Angola. The first Swedish ambassador was accredited to Luanda in 1976. The ambassador was also accredited to São Tomé. The embassy mainly focused on Sweden and trade promotion activities. The embassy closed in November 2022 following a decision by Sweden's government. The Swedish ambassador is from 1 December 2022 based in Stockholm, Sweden.

The National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) is an Angolan government agency responsible for promoting the peaceful use of space and conducting technical space studies. GGPEN was established through the Angola Presidential Decree 154/13, page 2673. The agency's mission is to conduct strategic studies aimed at establishing cooperation agreements with technical and scientific institutions in the space domain and ensuring the creation of national technological and human competencies and the transfer of technology and know-how within the scope of the National Space Program. The Angola National Space Strategy plan for 2016-2025 was approved by the presidential decree n. º 85/17, 10 of May, the strategy is based in the following 5 main pillars: Development of space and ground segment Human capacity building programs Creation and growth of the Angolan space industry International affirmation Space policy

Bungo is a bairro of Luanda, the capital city of Angola. It is the site of the principal passenger terminus of the Luanda Railway. In 2013, work began on doubling the railway track from Bungo station to Baía.

Hotel Presidente Luanda or Le Presidente Luanda Hotel is a hotel in Luanda, Angola, considered to be the city's most prestigious hotel. Opened in 1960, as of 2015 it had 194 rooms. Over the years it has played a major role in Angolan international relations, and is a common meeting place for ambassadors, politicians and business executives. After undergoing inspection in 1980, the hotel subsequently underwent restoration the following year. As of 1995 it had only one of two foreign exchange points in the city, the other being at the Banco Nacional de Angola.

Alto das Cruzes cemetery (Portuguese: Cemitério do Alto das Cruzes) is a cemetery in Miramar, Luanda, Angola. It is one of the most prominent cemeteries of the city, where many of the illustrious Angolan personalities are buried. In 1996 the cemetery was photographed extensively by the Escola Profissional da Lousã.

Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Nazaré (Our Lady of Nazareth Church) is a colonial church in Luanda, Angola, built in 1664. It is located in the centre of the city, overlooking Luanda Bay.

Avenida Comandante Valódia also known as Bairro dos Combatentes is a residential area neighborhood in Luanda's central municipality of Sambizanga in Luanda province of Angola, and is centered on a busy interchange. It has a length of 1.61 km ² and about 144,000 inhabitants and is split in both ways, it is bordered to the west by Kinaxixi, on the north by Marçal, in the east by São Paulo, and south by Avenida Brasil. It has the following coordinates: Latitude: -8°49'5.88" and Longitude: 13°14'51.36. The neighborhood is known for its office and residential buildings, and is also home to the famous Hotel Tròpico, the renowned 147 public school and the now defunct Feira Ngoma.
