J. G. Hughes House, also known as Fieldstone, is a historic home located at Columbus, Polk County, North Carolina. It was built in 1896, and is a two-story, four-bay, Queen Anne style frame dwelling. It has a cross gable roof, is sheathed in weatherboard, and rests on a stone foundation. It features a wrapround porch with sawn brackets and a cutaway bay window. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The estate was built in 1935 by Thomas and Lillian Costa, and represents a distinctive architectural interpretation of North Carolina's mountain summer estates. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

It is a two-story, eight-bay, Tudor Revival style stone dwelling built on the foundation of a previous dwelling built in 1895 and burned in 1916. It features an off-center entrance pavilion, leaded-glass casement windows, and half-timbering. Other contributing resources are the estate landscape, workshop (c. 1910, c. 1928), and Lynncote Lodge (1925-1926), designed by Harold Perry Erskine. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The inn was built between 1937 and 1939, and is a two-story, six bay by four bay, Colonial Revival style stone building. It is constructed of local blue granite. Seven Hearths is a historic plantation house located near Tryon, Polk County, North Carolina. It was built about 1800 for Marvel (Marville) Mills - assumed built by his father Major William Mills, and is a two-story, five-bay, Federal style frame dwelling. It has exterior gable end double shouldered chimneys and flanking one bay wide, one bay deep projections. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
