Heston services is a motorway service station on the M4 motorway in the London Borough of Hounslow, built on land that once formed part of the now defunct Heston Aerodrome.

The Western International Market is a wholesale market in west London, England. One of the principal wholesale markets in the London region, it is located between Southall and Hayes, close to the M4 motorway and Heathrow Airport, and covers an area of 86 acres (350,000 m2). Owned and managed by Hounslow London Borough Council, the market opened in 1974 as a relocation of Brentford Market, which dated from 1306 and since 1893 had been based on a site near Kew Bridge. A fountain at the foot of the bridge, erected in 1877, now stands at the entrance to Western International Market and has Grade II listed status.The market acts as a conduit for fresh produce airlifted to Heathrow to reach the retail and catering trades.

North Hyde is a suburban development situated between the towns of Heston, Hayes and Southall under the administrative control of the London Borough of Hounslow. It is bordered to the north by the Grand Union Canal mainline and to the south by the M4. The area now consists of a mixture of mostly large, semi detached suburban properties. It is also home to the Airlinks golf course and Convent Way, an estate with a mixture of high and low-rise housing.

Cranford is a suburban area straddling the London Boroughs of Hillingdon and Hounslow. It is located 12.5 miles (20 km) west of Charing Cross and immediately east of Heathrow Airport, from which it is separated by the River Crane. A village till the mid-20th century, Cranford was developed with the building of major roads in its area.

The A312 is an A road in England, running across west London from Hampton to Harrow. Its status varies from a local urban street to a major dual carriageway in Hayes. Part the road has been diverted to make way for Heathrow Airport, while another stretch was originally planned to be Ringway 3, one of four major ring motorways around London.

Featherstone High School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Southall area of the London Borough of Ealing, England. The school converted to academy status in February 2012, and was previously a community school under the direct control of Ealing London Borough Council. The school continues to coordinate with Ealing London Borough Council for admissions. Featherstone High School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while sixth form students can choose to study from range of A Levels and additional BTECs.

The Paddington Canal or Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal is a 13+1⁄2-mile (22 km) canal to Paddington in central London, England. It runs from the west of the capital at Bull's Bridge in Hayes. Little Venice — its only junction — is with the Regent's Canal, London that runs to Limehouse Basin to the east. The arm and the two canals it links are fed by water by the Brent Reservoir. The Paddington Arm is part of a long pound that stretches for nearly thirty miles.

Hounslow West is a London Underground station in locality of Hounslow West in Hounslow within the London Borough of Hounslow, West London. The station is on the Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 branch of the Piccadilly line, between Hatton Cross and Hounslow Central stations and is in Travelcard Zone 5. The station is located on Bath Road, close to the Great West Road (A4). The station has an island platform, with step-free access via a stairlift for manual wheelchair users only. Opened as Hounslow Barracks in 1884, it was initially served by the District Railway (now part of the District line). The Piccadilly line was extended here in 1933, and District line services were fully withdrawn in 1964. The station building was rebuilt to a design by Charles Holden in 1931. The line was extended again in phases to Heathrow Airport in the 1970s, which resulted in the station's platforms being relocated.

Yeading Brook is the dominant source of the River Crane, in outer North West then West London. The western branch flows 25.8 km (16.0 mi) south. It rises in the far south of suburban Pinner and drains all of the western suburbs of Harrow, insofar as they have not been by historical practice connected into sewers. Rapidly the brook coalesces at sports grounds associated with and including Headstone Manor, where there is a surviving medieval moat, and leaving the far west of Harrow it makes a large curve to adjoin southern parts of Ruislip then Ickenham Marsh nature reserve, before finishing the more than three-mile sharp curve on the south side of Northolt Aerodrome 1 mile (1.6 km) southwest of South Ruislip railway station. At this point the Yeading Brook's eastern branch feeds in as others have already from South Harrow. The brook bisects Yeading and then forms the traditional border between Hayes and Southall, being superseded by the unlinked Paddington Arm a few metres to the east. The Crane has no authoritative source of its own and so the Yeading Brook – about double the length – forms the upper part of the Crane's river system.

The Orange Tree Theatre is a 180-seat theatre at 1 Clarence Street, Richmond in south-west London, which was built specifically as a theatre in the round. It is housed within a disused 1867 primary school, built in Victorian Gothic style. The theatre was founded in 1971 by its first artistic director, Sam Walters, and his actress wife Auriol Smith in a small room above the Orange Tree pub opposite the present building, which opened in 1991.Walters, the UK's longest-serving theatre director, retired from the Orange Tree Theatre in June 2014 and was succeeded as artistic director by Paul Miller, previously associate director at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. Tom Littler, previously artistic director at the Jermyn Street Theatre, took over from Miller in December 2022.The Orange Tree Theatre specialises in staging new plays and rediscovering classics. It has an education and participation programme that reaches over 10,000 people every year. Since 2014 the theatre has won ten Offies (Off West End Awards), five UK Theatre Awards and the Alfred Fagon Audience Award. It won the Empty Space Peter Brook Award in 2006 and 2015.

Heston is a suburban area and part of the Hounslow district in the London Borough of Hounslow. The residential settlement covers a slightly smaller area than its predecessor farming village, 10.8 miles (17.4 km) west south-west of Charing Cross and adjoins the M4 motorway but has no junction with it; Heston also adjoins the Great West Road, a dual carriageway, mostly west of the "Golden Mile" headquarters section of it. Heston was, historically, in Middlesex.
