First Christian Church (Pensacola, Florida)

The King-Hooton House is a historic home in Pensacola, Florida. It is located at 512–514 North Seventh Avenue. On August 23, 1991, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The King-Hooton House is an 1871, 1+1⁄2-story, frame vernacular residence, with an attached kitchen wing. Originally built as a single dwelling, it was converted into a duplex in the mid-1950s. It was built by a local carpenter for Margaret E. King, one of Pensacola's most prominent real estate holders in the late nineteenth century. It has three interior, stuccoed, brick chimneys which pierce front gabled roofs; an inset porch at the main entrance; and an attached hip roofed porch on the south elevation. Paired brackets accent the eaves of the main house. A bay window dominates the main facade; nearly all of the other windows are wooden, double hung, 6/6 sash. There are two jib windows. Sixteen pairs of original, wooden, louvered shutters remain intact and are operable.

The Marzoni House is a historic house in Pensacola, Florida. Built in 1890, is an example of Queen Anne architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 10, 2016.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is a historic church at 716 North 9th Ave in Pensacola, Florida, United States. Completed in 1906, it was sold to the city of Pensacola in 1956. The Unity Church bought the building in 1982. On December 10, 2008, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Pensacola Bay Center (formerly Pensacola Civic Center) is an indoor arena located in Pensacola, Florida. It is owned by Escambia County and operated by ASM Global. The Bay Center has a capacity of 8,049 for hockey games, and as much as 10,000 for non-hockey events. The arena contains 23,000 square feet (2,100 m2) of space and 10,000 square feet (1,000 m2) of meeting space. The Escambia County Commission voted to rename the arena the Pensacola Bay Center on October 18, 2012 as part of a citywide rebranding effort begun by Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward.

St. Michael's Cemetery is a cemetery in Pensacola, Florida. The land around the current location of the cemetery has been used as a burial ground beginning in the mid to late 18th century, with the earliest above-ground markers associated with Pensacola’s Second Spanish Period. In 1949, the cemetery was dedicated as a state park.

The Temple Beth-El (Hebrew: ק.ק. בית אל), located in downtown Pensacola, Florida, is the oldest dedicated Jewish house of worship in Florida. The temple was founded in 1876.Beth-El is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism, and has led the congregation in Reform Judaism services since the temple's foundation. The current rabbi is Joel Fleekop.

Pensacola ( PEN-sə-KOH-lə) is the westernmost city in the Florida Panhandle, and the county seat and only incorporated city of Escambia County, Florida. Pensacola is the principal city of the Pensacola Metropolitan Area, which had an estimated 502,629 residents in 2019. At the 2020 United States census, the population was 54,312. Pensacola was first settled by the Spanish in 1559, predating the establishment of St. Augustine by 6 years, although the settlement was abandoned due to a hurricane and not re-established until 1698. Pensacola is a seaport on Pensacola Bay, which is protected by the barrier island of Santa Rosa and connects to the Gulf of Mexico. A large United States Naval Air Station, the first in the United States, is located southwest of Pensacola near Warrington; it is the base of the Blue Angels flight demonstration team and the National Naval Aviation Museum. The main campus of the University of West Florida is situated north of the city center. The area was originally inhabited by Muskogean-speaking peoples. The Pensacola people lived there at the time of European contact, and Creek people frequently visited and traded from present-day southern Alabama and Mississippi and southeast of Louisiana. Spanish explorer Tristán de Luna founded a short-lived settlement in 1559. In 1698 the Spanish established a presidio in the area, from which the modern city gradually developed. The area changed hands several times as European powers competed in North America. During Florida's British rule (1763–1781), fortifications were strengthened. It is nicknamed "The City of Five Flags", due to the five governments that have ruled it during its history: the flags of Spain (Castile), France, Great Britain, the United States of America, and the Confederate States of America. Other nicknames include "World's Whitest Beaches" (due to the white sand of Florida panhandle beaches), "Cradle of Naval Aviation", "Western Gate to the Sunshine State", "America's First Settlement", "Emerald Coast", and "P-Cola".

Fort George was a British fort built in 1778 for the protection of Pensacola, Florida. The Spanish captured it in Siege of Pensacola on May 10, 1781 (American Revolutionary War). The fort no longer exists, though part of it was later recreated to mark its original location. This reconstruction is part of the Fort George Memorial Park, which is in the North Hill Preservation District. The park is located on La Rua and Palafox Streets. The site was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on July 8, 1974.

Episcopal Day School (EDS) is an independent, co-educational school in Pensacola, Florida, providing courses from pre-kindergarten to grade 8 levels. The roots of Episcopal Day School date back to 1856 when an educational ministry was founded as a part of Old Christ Church. The school in its current form has operated since 1952. While founded on Episcopal traditions, EDS is welcoming of all faiths and backgrounds.The core curriculum focuses on Reading/Literature, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Spanish. Additional enrichment classes include Library, Technology, Robotics, Physical Education, Christian Education, and the Arts. Christian education is taught as an enrichment class and the students attend chapel every Wednesday.

The Winston E. Arnow Federal Building is a national historic site located at 100 N. Palafox St., Pensacola, Florida in Escambia County. Originally built as a courthouse and post office, the building was constructed in 1938 and 1939 and is an example of the Simplified Classical style frequently used for federal buildings in late 1930s and early 1940s. In 2004 it was named for district judge Winston E. Arnow.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 11, 2014, as the United States Post Office and Court House.
