Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA); (Standard Chinese: 南洋艺术学院; Malay: Akademi Seni Halus Nanyang; Tamil: நன்யாங் அகாடமி ஆஃப் ஃபைன் ஆர்ட்ஸ்) is a publicly-funded post-secondary arts institution, and a soon-to-be University of the Arts by 2023 in alliance with LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore. NAFA offers courses in Diploma and Bachelor's Degree level. The NAFA Diploma programmes provides comprehensive arts and design education appropriate of Singapore's polytechnic-level for students who had successfully completed their secondary school education which is 10-years of studies in Singapore. As an industry-oriented alternative to a broader-based junior college education in Singapore, NAFA graduates in Singapore are sought after for work or many continue to complete university degrees. In contrast to polytechnics in the United States and United Kingdom, NAFA in Singapore admit the majority of their students after secondary school, normally at the age of 16–17, which is after ten years of formal education, similar to the other Polytechnics in Singapore. Diplomas in a specialised area of study, for example 3D Design, are awarded after completing 3-years of full-time studies and industry internship.Demand for its programmes has remained strong, and the school projects a student population of 3,300 by 2024. NAFA offers full-time diploma and degree programmes across three schools: across three schools: the School of Art & Design comprising 3D Design, Design & Media, Fashion Studies and Fine Art programmes, the School of Music, and the School of Arts Management, Dance & Theatre. Since 1999, NAFA has received polytechnic-level funding from Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE). In 2011, NAFA became the first comprehensive arts education institution in Singapore to be awarded the four-year EduTrust certificate from the Council for Private Education (now known as the Committee for Private Education). It received its third four-year certification in 2019. The institution also offers a full range of government tuition fees subsidised, 2 to 3-years undergraduate degree programmes for NAFA's Diploma graduates in partnership with the prestigious University of the Arts London in England, United Kingdom. Students with GCE A-level certificates as well as those without a relevant Singapore's Polytechnic Diplomas will be allowed to enrol in NAFA-UAL's degree programmes for the first time. NAFA also has a partnership with the Royal College of Music (RCM) for its Bachelor of Music (Honours) programme. NAFA has nurtured 13 recipients of the Cultural Medallion – Singapore’s highest accolade bestowed on art practitioners who have significantly impacted arts and culture. Another 14 alumni have been presented the Young Artist Award.

Bencoolen Street is a street in Central, Singapore that starts at the junction of Rochor Road, Rochor Canal Road and Jalan Besar and ends at the junction of Fort Canning Road, Stamford Road and Orchard Road. The street houses several landmarks including Sim Lim Square, Bencoolen Mosque and Albert Complex. Singapore Council of Women's Organisations Centre, also known as 96 Waterloo Street, is a historic bungalow on Waterloo Street in downtown Singapore. It currently houses the Singapore Council of Women's Organisations.

Sri Krishnan Temple (Tamil: ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணன் கோயில், transl. Srī kiruṣṇaṉ kōyil) is a Hindu temple in Singapore. Built in 1870 and gazetted as a national monument of Singapore in 2014, it is one of Singapore's oldest temples and is the only South Indian temple in Singapore dedicated to Krishna and his consort Rukmini. The Sri Krishnan Temple and the nearby Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple are known for having evolved a social practice termed "cross-worshipping", where many devotees of either temple also worship at the other. This practice is commonly seen as a microcosm of Singapore's multi-religious society.

Masjid Bencoolen (Jawi: مسجد بنکولين‎; Also known as Bengkali Mosque) is a mosque in Bencoolen Street, Singapore. Masjid Bencoolen can accommodate 1,100 worshipers. The mosque is co-located and integrated with a 12-storey Somerset Bencoolen serviced apartment tower.

Stamford Arts Centre is an arts centre on Waterloo Street in downtown Singapore. The building previously served as the Japanese National School, the former premises of the Gan Eng Seng School, the Stamford Girls' School and the Stamford Primary School.

60 Waterloo Street is a historic bungalow on Waterloo Street in downtown Singapore. A second four-storey building was constructed behind the bungalow when the Dance Ensemble Singapore moved into the bungalow in 1995.

The Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church (Chinese: 布连拾街长老会磐石堂) is located on Prinsep Street within Singapore's central business district. It is approximately 350 metres from Rochor MRT station.The church, previously known as the Malay Mission Chapel, was founded by Rev. Benjamin Peach Keasberry in 1843. The chapel was replaced with the present Romanesque-style building in 1930. It was gazetted a national monument by Singapore's National Heritage Board on 12 January 2000.

Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple (Chinese: 觀音堂佛祖廟; pinyin: Guānyīn Táng Fózǔ Miào) is a traditional Chinese temple situated at 178 Waterloo Street in Singapore. The temple is of significance to the Buddhist community among Chinese Singaporeans, and is believed to bring worshippers good luck after praying to the Kuan Yin (觀世音菩薩), or Avalokiteśvara, the Goddess of Mercy.
