Xalapa Farm is an American thoroughbred horse breeding stable near Paris, Kentucky.

The Walker Buckner House, in Bourbon County, Kentucky near Paris, Kentucky, was built in 1841. It has also been known as Buknore and as Locust Grove. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.It was designed by self-proclaimed architect Matthew Kennedy, and like some other of his works was built by Butler & DeJarnett in the Federal style. The listing included four contributing buildings and a contributing structure.It is located at 1500 Cane Ridge Rd.

North Middletown is a home rule-class city in Bourbon County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 643 as of the 2010 census. North Middletown is part of the Lexington-Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Cane Ridge was the site, in 1801, of a huge camp meeting that drew thousands of people and had a lasting influence as one of the landmark events of the Second Great Awakening, which took place largely in frontier areas of the United States. The event was led by eighteen Presbyterian ministers, but numerous Methodist and Baptist preachers also spoke and assisted. Many of the "spiritual exercises", such as glossolalia and ecstatic attendees, were exhibited that in the 20th century became more associated with the Pentecostal movement. Cane Ridge is located in Bourbon County, Kentucky, near Paris. The ridge was named by the explorer Daniel Boone, who had noticed a form of bamboo growing there. The Cane Ridge building and grounds had many unusual aspects. The 1791 Cane Ridge Meeting House is believed to be the largest single-room log structure in North America. The burial ground contains an unmarked section that is among the largest in the country. A Christian church congregation met on the site for many years after the 1801 revival meeting, and the congregation's leaving the Presbyterian Church in 1804. Barton W. Stone was its minister and one of the leading ministers of the Christian Church. This place was so dear to him that at his request, several years after his death, his remains were reinterred there. Led by Barton Stone, the Cane Ridge Revival is associated with the development of what became known as the Restoration Movement. Stone and several other ministers left the Presbyterian Church in 1804 and established the Christian Church. Another element of the Restoration Movement was Alexander Campbell's Disciples of Christ. In 1832, Stone and Campbell agreed to combine their efforts in the Restoration Movement. Later groups developed as the Churches of Christ and the Evangelical Christian Church in Canada, and several smaller groups.

The Stoner Creek Rural Historic District, in Bourbon County, Kentucky near Paris, Kentucky, is a 22,000 acres (89 km2) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. It included 526 contributing buildings, 207 contributing structures, seven contributing objects and 33 contributing sites.It includes work by landscape architect Jens Jensen. Non-contributing resources include 367 buildings, 52 structures, and three sites. It includes 10 historic farms. Each farm being known for its own specific thing. Farms larger than 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) are: Claiborne Xalapa Highland, post-World War II Stonerside, post-World War II Norton Clay Farm Homer Short FarmOnes larger than 500 acres (200 ha) include: Auvergne, which has an antebellum main house and core of farmstead Hillside Hidaway Hunterton, pre-World War II Golden Chance, pre-World War II Green ValleyIt runs along Winchester, Stoney Point, Spears Mill, and N. The Owen-Gay Farm in Clark County and Bourbon County in Kentucky was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. The property included two contributing buildings, nine contributing structures and one contributing site, on 238 acres (96 ha). It is located on Gay Rd. at its junction with Donaldson Rd., at the Clark County-Bourbon County line. The house, built in 1825–1840, and 119 acres (48 ha) is in Clark County; some outbuildings and the other 119 acres (48 ha) are in Bourbon County. It includes: the house (1825–1840) a log house (c. 1817), designated BB-362 and known as Glocca Morra School in the Kentucky Heritage Council's Historic Sites Inventory a meathouse (c. 1825) Ice House ruins (c. 1825) cistern (1915–1920) concrete water tank (c. 1945) hay barn (c. 1900) metal crib (1930–1940) an undefined structure (c. 1900) cattle barn (1910–1920) sheep weigh house (c. 1910) as well as agricultural acreage, fences, cemetery, and the farm's residential area which make up a contributing site.

Adena Springs is a Thoroughbred horse breeding operation owned by Frank Stronach and his family. The main farm is located in Paris, Kentucky, with satellite locations in Florida and Ontario, Canada. Adena Springs has won the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Breeder eight times, one of which was Stronach winning the award in his own name. Adena Springs has won the Canadian Sovereign Award for Outstanding Breeder eight times, plus four earlier wins under Stronach's own name.Adena Springs has stood multiple stallions at its various farms since 1996. Their first important stallion was El Prado, who was the leading sire in North America for 2002, and an influential sire of sires, including Medaglia d'Oro and Kitten's Joy, himself the leading sire in 2012. They next expanded their program by adding half-brothers Awesome Again and Macho Uno. As of 2016, the operation stands 18 stallions. In 2013, Adena Springs stood three of the top 15 stallions in the Thoroughbred industry, with stud fees ranging from $3,500 to $75,000 for various stallions.Adena Springs began as a nursery to produce horses for Stronach Stables. Famous homebreds include Breeders' Cup Classic winner Awesome Again and his best son, Horse of the Year Ghostzapper, both of whom stand at Adena. With the expansion of the farm, Adena is now a major seller of young thoroughbreds. Horses bred and sold by Adena include Game On Dude and Judy the Beauty.

Mound Hill (also known as the "Nelson Gay Mound") is an archaeological site in the Bluegrass region of the U.S. state of Kentucky. Located north of Winchester in far northern Clark County, the site is part of a group of Indian mounds lining Stoner Creek, although by far the largest of the group. The mound has frequently attracted attention from mapmakers and other surveyors, due to its large size; it was measured at 240 feet (73 m) (circumference) and 20 feet (6.1 m) (height) by an 1884 survey, which pronounced it a "romantic sight" due to its hilltop location between Stoner Creek and Pretty Run. The surveyors suggested that its linear shape with a central depression might have been the result of erosion or of the construction of multiple mounds that were later merged into one. It lies approximately 0.5 miles (0.80 km) west of the rest of the group, which occupies the summit of a narrow ridgeline known as the "Devil's Backbone." Digging at these mounds, which were seemingly related to Mound Hill, produced artifacts such as pottery and a pipe, as well as numerous stone box graves. In 1978, Mound Hill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. One of several Clark County archaeological sites on the Register, it was deemed to encompass an area of 18 acres (7.3 ha) for preservation purposes. It is believed to have been built by peoples of the Adena culture.

Snow Hill, on Brush Creek in rural Bourbon County, Kentucky near Little Rock, Kentucky, was built in 1840. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. It is a two-story large brick house, with brick laid in Flemish bond, on a dry cut-stoe foundation. It has "massive dimensions typical of the classic modes of Kentucky's Federal Era of Architecture. The main block of the house is over sixty feet long and twenty-three feet wide with a rear ell-wing measuring fifty-six feet long by twenty feet wide. The two story main house, contains the classic elements likely introduced to the Bluegrass Region by architect Matthew Kennedy. These elements include giant pilasters, which define a central pedimented full height portico. Also included are double front doors with Greek Key decorative crown and supporting decorative pilasters and symmetrical facade. The giant pilasters and portico pediment were removed by John 0'Brennan in the 1940s." It is believed by the National Register nomination author that the house was designed by Kennedy. It is accessed by a private drive at 4100 Little Rock-Jackstown Rd. The listing includes just the one building, and no structures or objects were deemed to be contributing.

Stonerside Stable is an American Thoroughbred horse breeding farm and horse racing operation near Paris, Kentucky. Until September 2008 it was owned by Robert and Janice McNair, who also owned the National Football League team, the Houston Texans. They sold the highly successful operation to the Darley racing conglomerate of Sheikh Mohammed of Dubai. Stonerside Stable was a finalist for the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Breeder for 2008.

Bayless Quarters, near North Middletown, Kentucky, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The listing included three contributing buildings.It includes Greek Revival and Federal architecture.The main structure is a one-story two-bay dry stone quarters. A smokehouse is also included.
