Mound Hill (also known as the "Nelson Gay Mound") is an archaeological site in the Bluegrass region of the U.S. state of Kentucky. Located north of Winchester in far northern Clark County, the site is part of a group of Indian mounds lining Stoner Creek, although by far the largest of the group. The mound has frequently attracted attention from mapmakers and other surveyors, due to its large size; it was measured at 240 feet (73 m) (circumference) and 20 feet (6.1 m) (height) by an 1884 survey, which pronounced it a "romantic sight" due to its hilltop location between Stoner Creek and Pretty Run. The surveyors suggested that its linear shape with a central depression might have been the result of erosion or of the construction of multiple mounds that were later merged into one. It lies approximately 0.5 miles (0.80 km) west of the rest of the group, which occupies the summit of a narrow ridgeline known as the "Devil's Backbone." Digging at these mounds, which were seemingly related to Mound Hill, produced artifacts such as pottery and a pipe, as well as numerous stone box graves. In 1978, Mound Hill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. One of several Clark County archaeological sites on the Register, it was deemed to encompass an area of 18 acres (7.3 ha) for preservation purposes. It is believed to have been built by peoples of the Adena culture.

The Oakwood Estate is a house in Winchester, Kentucky. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 as Alpheus Lewis House. It is a one-story home on a raised basement, with Greek Revival details. The Oakwood house, on the Lewis Estate, has a history that dates from the ante-bellum era. The house is on the banks of Stoner Creek, about some miles off of Wades Mill Rd. At the time the house was built, it was home to Alpheus Lewis Sr., his wife and nine children. He was born in 1799. His father was a veteran of the Revolutionary War and a member of the House of Burgesses and acquired 3,000 acres (12 km2) of land which he eventually divided among his sons. Alpheus built his house, which he later named Oakwood. He created a wine business known as "A. Lewis and Sons". Lewis' son, Alpheus ("Ack") Lewis Jr's time in the Civil War, made Lewis and his home well known in Kentucky. The condition of Oakwood today is deteriorating with major instabilities in the structure. The backyard however may still have a rail fence made completely of stone, a rarity. Behind it are the graves of Alpheus Lewis Sr. and his wife Theodosia.

Stone Farm is an American Thoroughbred horse breeding farm near Paris, Kentucky. It was founded in 1970 by Arthur B. Hancock III, part of the prominent Hancock family of Claiborne Farm fame. Started as a 100-acre (0.40 km2) tract, Hancock gradually added on until it became a rambling 2,000-acre (8.1 km2) property with over 100 paddocks, with Leone J. Peter's, Cabin, as the first stallion to stand at stud. In its over 30 years of history, Stone Farms has raised more than 100 stakes winners with more than one-third of them graded stakes race winners. As of 2006, the farm has produced four winners of an Eclipse Award, six American Classic and two Breeders' Cup Classic winners. Some of the operation's famous horses include Sunday Silence, Risen Star, Menifee, Gato Del Sol, Valdez and Fusaichi Pegasus, the 2000 Kentucky Derby champion.. In August, 2007, Gato Del Sol had to be humanely euthanized due to old age. He was 28.

The Stoner Creek Rural Historic District, in Bourbon County, Kentucky near Paris, Kentucky, is a 22,000 acres (89 km2) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. It included 526 contributing buildings, 207 contributing structures, seven contributing objects and 33 contributing sites.It includes work by landscape architect Jens Jensen. Non-contributing resources include 367 buildings, 52 structures, and three sites. It includes 10 historic farms. Each farm being known for its own specific thing. Farms larger than 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) are: Claiborne Xalapa Highland, post-World War II Stonerside, post-World War II Norton Clay Farm Homer Short FarmOnes larger than 500 acres (200 ha) include: Auvergne, which has an antebellum main house and core of farmstead Hillside Hidaway Hunterton, pre-World War II Golden Chance, pre-World War II Green ValleyIt runs along Winchester, Stoney Point, Spears Mill, and N. The Walker Buckner House, in Bourbon County, Kentucky near Paris, Kentucky, was built in 1841. It has also been known as Buknore and as Locust Grove. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.It was designed by self-proclaimed architect Matthew Kennedy, and like some other of his works was built by Butler & DeJarnett in the Federal style. The listing included four contributing buildings and a contributing structure.It is located at 1500 Cane Ridge Rd.

The Goshen Primitive Baptist Church is a historic Primitive Baptist church in Winchester, Kentucky. The congregation was founded in 1792. Its brick church building was built in c.1850. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.It has Greek Revival-style original details.
