Frenchtown-Rumbly is a census-designated place in Somerset County, Maryland, United States. The population was 96 at the 2000 census. It is included in the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Big Annemessex River is a 15.4-mile-long (24.8 km) tributary of the Chesapeake Bay on the Delmarva Peninsula. It rises in Kingston, Somerset County, Maryland, and flows roughly southwest about 6 miles (10 km) in a meandering pattern, then widens into an estuary and continues about 9 miles (14 km) to the bay, near Janes Island State Park. Tributaries include Annemessex Creek, Holland Creek, Hall Creek, Muddy Creek, Colbourn Creek, Jones Creek and Daugherty Creek. The river is spanned once by River Road, a residential county road far from any population center. The Annemessex Creek upstream, however, is spanned by Maryland Route 413. There is also a Little Annemessex River; the city of Crisfield rests upon its shores.

Fairmount Wildlife Management Area is a Wildlife Management Area in Somerset County, Maryland. The wildlife management area comprises more than 4,000 acres (1,600 ha) of mostly marshland. It is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland along the Chesapeake Bay between the Manokin and Annemessex Rivers in Somerset County. American black duck, northern pintail, gadwall, American wigeon, blue and green-winged teal, and many other species of waterfowl can be found in the area.

Academy Grove Historic District is a national historic district at Upper Fairmount, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It comprises two Italianate-influenced frame buildings. These include the Fairmount Academy, constructed between 1860 and 1867 to serve as a public school for the Potato Neck District, and the Knights of Pythias Hall, erected adjacent to the Academy about 1872 by the Fairmount Lodge No. 77 of the Knights of Pythias. As early as 1883 the Knights of Pythias Hall was rented by the Board of Education for classroom space; when the Fairmount Lodge disbanded in 1911, the Hall continued to provide additional classroom space for the Academy.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Schoolridge Farm, also known as School House Ridge, is a historic home located at Upper Fairmount, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story two-bay side-hall / double pile Flemish bond brick house with a steeply pitched wood shingle roof, built about 1780. Attached to the house is a one-story frame kitchen wing and 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay frame addition. Also on the property is a 19th-century frame smokehouse, modern utility building and a screened-in gazebo.The Schoolridge Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Upper Fairmount Historic District is a national historic district at Upper Fairmount, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. The district encompasses this quiet rural village situated along Fairmount Road (Maryland Route 361). The village is landlocked, rural in character, and surrounded by farms, fields, wooded land and a few modern houses. Perhaps the most significant structure still standing is the Upper Fairmount Methodist Episcopal Church built in 1870.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Pomfret Plantation is a historic house located at Marion, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story, four room plan gable roofed frame house constructed between 1810 and 1830. A two-story hyphen joins an early 19th-century kitchen wing to the main block. The property also includes a post-Civil War frame tenant house, and a 19th-century Coulbourne family cemetery. The Coulbourne family and their descendants owned the property through nine continuous generations beginning with William Coulbourne in 1663, and ending with the sale of the farm in 1921. The Pomfret Plantation was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Upper Fairmount is an unincorporated community in Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It is located at the intersection of Maryland Route 361 (Fairmount Road) and Upper Hill Road. The Academy Grove Historic District, Maddux House, Schoolridge Farm, Tudor Hall, and Upper Fairmount Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Crisfield Armory is a historic National Guard armory located at Crisfield, Somerset County, Maryland, United States. It is two stories tall with a full basement, emulates a Medieval fortification, and was built in 1927. Attached to the rear of this two-story main block is a narrower one-story drill hall. The front features a central section flanked by two, three-story tall towers. The State Seal of Maryland appears in a large square stone panel at the roofline, surmounted by three crenelles with stone caps. It is located within the boundaries of the Crisfield Historic District. The Crisfield Armory was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

St. Peter's Methodist Episcopal Church is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at Hopewell, Somerset County, Maryland. It is a large single-story gable-front Gothic Revival frame church with four-story bell tower. It was built in 1850 and extensively reworked in 1901. Also on the property is a cemetery with 19th and 20th century markers. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Janes Island State Park is a public recreation area on Chesapeake Bay lying adjacent to the city of Crisfield in Somerset County, Maryland. The state park features some 30 miles (48 km) of marked water trails through the island's salt marsh leading to isolated pristine beaches. The park is managed by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
