Jovice

Rožňava (Hungarian: Rozsnyó, German: Rosenau, Latin: Rosnavia) is a town in Slovakia, approximately 71 kilometres (44 miles) by road from Košice in the Košice Region, and has a population of 19,182. The town is an economic and tourist centre of the Gemer. Rožňava is now a popular tourist attraction with a beautiful historic town centre. The town is an episcopal seat. It has above all food, textile and remnants of mining industries.

Rožňava District (okres Rožňava) is a district in the Košice Region of eastern Slovakia. Until 1918, the district was mostly part of the county of Kingdom of Hungary of Gömör és Kishont, apart from the area in the south-east around the municipalities of Silická Jablonica, Hrušov, Jablonov nad Turňou and Hrhov which formed part of the county of Abaúj-Torna.

Cathedral of the Assumption is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Rožňava, Slovakia. It is the seat of Bishop of Rožňava.

Krásnohorská Dlhá Lúka (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈkraːsnɔɦɔrskaː ˈdl̩ɦaː ˈluːka]; Hungarian: Várhosszúrét) is a village and municipality in the Rožňava District in the Košice Region of middle-eastern Slovakia.

Slovak Karst National Park (Národný park Slovenský kras) is a national park in the Slovak Karst (Slovenský kras) mountain range in South East Slovakia. It lies in the Gelnica, Rožňava and Košice–okolie districts in the Košice region. The National Park covers an area of 346.11 km² (133.64 mi²) and its buffer zone covers 117.41 km² (45.33 mi²). The park was established on 1 March 2002, after being a protected landscape area since 1973. Slovak Karst is the first Slovak biosphere reserve since 1 March 1977, when it was included in the UNESCO's Programme on Man and the Biosphere. In 1995, 12 out of 700 caves in the park were recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Krásnohorské Podhradie (Hungarian: Krasznahorkaváralja) is a village and municipality in the Rožňava District in the Košice Region of middle-eastern Slovakia. The town has a relative Hungarian majority and a Slovak and Roma minority [1] Archived 2007-09-27 at the Wayback Machine. The town is dominated by its namesake, the iconic Castle of Krásna Hôrka.

The Slovak Karst (Slovak: Slovenský kras) is one of the mountain ranges of the Slovenské Rudohorie mountains in the Carpathians in southern Slovakia. It consists of a complex of huge karst plains and plateaus. Since 1973 it has been a protected landscape area. On 1 March 2002 Slovak Karst National Park was declared. It is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and part of it forms UNESCO World Heritage Site Caves of Aggtelek Karst and Slovak Karst.
