Artek (Russian: Арте́к) is an international children's center (a former Young Pioneer camp) on the Black Sea in the town of Gurzuf located on the Crimean Peninsula, near Ayu-Dag. It was established on 16 June 1925. The camp first hosted only 80 children but then grew rapidly. In 1969 it had an area of 3.2 km2 (790 acres). The camp consisted of 150 buildings, including three medical facilities, a school, the film studio Artekfilm, three swimming pools, a stadium with a seating capacity of 7,000 and playgrounds for various other activities. Unlike most of the young pioneer camps, Artek was an all-year camp, due to the warm climate. Artek was considered to be a privilege for Soviet children during its existence, as well as for children from other communist countries. During its heyday, 27,000 children a year vacationed at Artek. Between 1925 and 1969 the camp hosted 300,000 children including more than 13,000 children from 70 foreign countries. After the breaking up of the Young Pioneers in 1991 its prestige declined, though it remained a popular vacation destination.

Krasnokamianka (Ukrainian: Краснокам'янка; Russian: Краснока́менка, Crimean Tatar: Qızıltaş, also known as Kiziltash or Kyzyltash, the same word in Turkic dialects; literally, red stone) is a resort and urban-type settlement in Yalta Municipality in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and incorporated by Russia as the Republic of Crimea. Population: 1,051 (2014 Census).

Gurzuf or Hurzuf (Ukrainian: Гурзуф, Russian: Гурзу́ф, Crimean Tatar: Gurzuf, Greek: Γορζουβίται) is a resort-town (urban-type settlement) in Yalta Municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and incorporated by Russia as the Republic of Crimea. Population: 8,933 (2014 Census).It is located on the northern coast of the Black Sea. It is the site of a 6th-century fortress built by Justinian I and called by Procopius the fortress of the Gorzoubitai. The fortress was later restored by the Genoese who called the place Garzuni, Grasni, and Gorzanium, and appointed it the seat of a chief magistrate. It was a former Crimean Tatar village, now a part of Greater Yalta. Alexander Pushkin visited Gurzuf in 1820 and ballet master Marius Petipa died here. The International Children Center Artek (former All-Union Young Pioneer camp Artek) is situated just behind the mount of Ayu-Dag (Bear Mountain). The World Organization of the Scout Movement's Eurasian Region is headquartered in the town. Between Gurzuf and Mount Ayu-Dag is Cape Suuksu. At the top of the Cape is a tower, a medieval cemetery, and a small monument to Pushkin.

Lazurne (Russian: Лазурное; Ukrainian: Лазурне; Crimean Tatar: Lazurnoye) is a village in Alushta Municipality, Crimea. Population: 148 (2014 Census).

Partyzanske (Ukrainian: Партизанське; Russian: Партизанское; Crimean Tatar: Partizanskoye) is a rural settlement in the Yalta Municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and annexed by Russia as the Republic of Crimea.Partyzanske is located on Crimea's southern shore at an elevation of 362 metres (1,188 ft). The settlement is located 5 km (3.1 mi) southwest from Hurzuf, which it is administratively subordinate to. Its population was 94 in the 2001 Ukrainian census. Current population: 65 (2014 Census).

Liniine (Ukrainian: Лінійне; Russian: Линейное; Crimean Tatar: Lineynoye) is a rural settlement in the Yalta Municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and annexed by Russia as the Republic of Crimea.Liniine is located on Crimea's southern shore at an elevation of 216 metres (709 ft). The settlement is located 5 km (3.1 mi) southwest from Hurzuf, which it is administratively subordinate to. Its population was 31 in the 2001 Ukrainian census. Current population: 30 (2014 Census).

Danylivka (Ukrainian: Данилівка; Russian: Даниловка) is a rural settlement in the Yalta Municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and annexed by Russia as the Republic of Crimea.In 1928, the settlement was known as the Ay Danil sovkhoz (Ukrainian: Ай-Даніль; Crimean Tatar: Ay Danil, probably from medieval Greek Άη Δανιήλ, Ai-Daniyl, Saint Daniel), belonging to the Hurzuf Settlement Council of the Yalta Raion. Following the forced deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1944, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Russian SFSR published a decree on May 18, 1948 renaming the settlement along with many others throughout Crimea from their native Crimean Tatar names to their current variants.Danylivka is located on Crimea's southern shore at an elevation of 134 metres (440 ft). The settlement is located 6 km (3.7 mi) southeast from Hurzuf, which it is administratively subordinate to. Its population was 474 in the 2001 Ukrainian census. Cape Martian Reserve (Ukrainian: Мис Мартьян), also known as Cape Martyan Reserve, is a nature reserve located on the southern coast of the Crimean Peninsula, near the Ukrainian city of Yalta and the Nikitsky Botanical Gardens. Established to protect its unique ecosystem and biodiversity, the reserve is home to many plant and animal species, some of which are specific to the Mediterranean climate of the region. Given its ecological importance, it plays a role in conservation and scientific research. Its picturesque landscapes overlooking the Black Sea also make it a point of interest for nature enthusiasts.

Nikita (Ukrainian: Нікіта; Russian: Никита; Crimean Tatar: Nikita) is an urban-type settlement in Yalta Municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and incorporated by Russia as the Republic of Crimea. It is known for the Nikitsky Botanical Garden named after the settlement. Population: 2,257 (2014 Census).Originally it was a village of Nikita owned by a landowner Smirnov, bought by the state in 1811 for the creation of the botanical garden. During the times of the Soviet Union the settlement was renamed into Botanicheskoye ("Botanical" in Russian). The name was restored after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Nikita Botanical Garden (Russian: Никитский ботанический сад, Ukrainian: Нікітський ботанічний сад) is one of the oldest botanical gardens in Europe. It is located in Crimea, close to Yalta, by the shores of the Black Sea. It was founded in 1812 and named after the settlement Nikita in Crimea, Russian Empire. Its founder and first director was Russian botanist Christian von Steven of Swedish descent. The garden and its collections were greatly expanded by the Livonian Nicolai Anders von Hartwiss, director 1827–1860. The total area is 11 square kilometres. It is a scientific research centre, a producer of saplings and seeds, and a tourist attraction. The garden opened a representative office in Damascus in 2022.The garden was the part of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. It has subsidiaries in Crimea and Kherson Oblast. Its collection counts over 50,000 species, sorts and hybrides. Its scientific work consists in study of natural flora, collection of gene fund, selection and introduction of new agricultural plants for south Ukraine, Russia, and other countries.

Otradnoye or Vidradne (Ukrainian: Відрадне; Russian: Отрадное; Crimean Tatar: Mağaraç) is an urban-type settlement in the Yalta municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and annexed by Russia as the Republic of Crimea.Vidradne is located on Crimea's southern shore at an elevation of 68 metres (223 ft). The settlement is located 9 km (5.6 mi) southeast from the town of Massandra, which it is administratively subordinate to. Its population was 582 at the 2001 Ukrainian census. Current population: 707 (2014 Census).

Sovietske (Ukrainian: Совєтське; Russian: Советское) or Dolossy (Ukrainian: Долосси; Crimean Tatar: Dolossı) is an urban-type settlement in the Yalta Municipality of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and annexed by Russia as the Republic of Crimea.The settlement was first founded in 1929 after the creation of the "Dolossi" resort hotel. Sovietske is located on Crimea's southern shore at an elevation of 458 metres (1,503 ft). It is administratively subordinate to the Massandra Settlement Council. Its population was 511 in the 2001 Ukrainian census. Current population: 670 (2014 Census).
