Joseph Cooper House is located in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1695 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 14, 1973, for its significance in architecture. A fire, about 2005, destroyed the roof. The ruins of the building are planned to become a pavilion in the surrounding park.

USS Edgar F. Coney (SP-346) was an armed tug that served in the United States Navy from 1917 to 1919. Edgar F. Coney was built as a commercial steam tug of the same name in 1904 by John B. Dialogue & Sons at Camden, New Jersey, for the South Atlantic Towboat Company. On 22 September 1917, the U.S. Navy chartered her from her owner – by then Philip Shore of Tampa, Florida – for use during World War I. She was commissioned the same day as USS Edgar F. Coney (SP-346). Assigned to the 3rd Naval District, Edgar F. Coney was based at Tompkinsville, Staten Island, New York. She carried out towing duties in the New York City area for the remainder of World War I and into 1919. Edgar F. Coney was decommissioned on 5 July 1919 and returned to her owner the same day. She returned to commercial service. The Tug sank 28 January 1930 in the Gulf of Mexico in rough seas and high winds 70 miles south east of Port Arthur, Texas. Lost with all 14 hands.

Hopeworks 'N Camden is an American nonprofit founded in 2000 to assist Camden, New Jersey youths ages 14–25 to return to school and to achieve gainful employment. The program tutors and mentors high school students, as well as out-of-school youth and offers courses in website development, geographic information system mapping and administration. Also, Hopeworks Youth Healing Team offers training and consultation to schools and nonprofits on working with traumatized youths and adults.

The yards of Weeks Marine and the site of the former Riverfront State Prison are located along the Delaware River. In May 2013, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority announced that it would seek developers for the site. In September 2013, Waterfront Renaissance Associates announced that it proposed to build the Riverfront World Trade Center, a development of 2.3-million-square-foot campus on 16 acres on the site. The project would be built in four phases, the first of which would be a promenade along the Delaware River.

South Jersey Gas, Electric and Traction Company Office Building is located in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1901 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 5, 2005. The building served as the main branch of the Camden Free Public Library after it relocated from the former Camden Free Public Library Main Building, but was closed in 2011.

Riverfront State Prison (RSP) is a former prison in Camden, New Jersey that was operated by the New Jersey Department of Corrections from August 12, 1985, to 2009. It was located in the neighborhood of Cooper Point at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Elm Street.The prison first opened after the state paid Camden money in exchange for receiving a plot of land that was used to establish the prison.In 2007, while the state was preparing to close Riverfront, it considered establishing a replacement state prison in Cumberland County, which already had three other state prisons. When officials from the city of Bridgeton, New Jersey heard of a state report proposing to move Riverfront's prisoners to South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, Bridgeton officials opposed the plans.Riverfront closed in 2009. The state had a savings of $43 million per year. Cooper Street Historic District is a historic district located in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The district goes from 2nd Street to 7th Street along Cooper Street and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 7, 1989.
