Cooper Point (also known as Cooper Poynt) is a neighborhood in the northwestern part of Camden, New Jersey, United States. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the neighborhood has a population of 2,880. It is north of Cooper Grant and the Central Waterfront the other neighborhoods located near the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The yards of Weeks Marine and the site of the former Riverfront State Prison are located along the Delaware River. In May 2013, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority announced that it would seek developers for the site. In September 2013, Waterfront Renaissance Associates announced that it proposed to build the Riverfront World Trade Center, a development of 2.3-million-square-foot campus on 16 acres on the site. The project would be built in four phases, the first of which would be a promenade along the Delaware River.

Riverfront State Prison (RSP) is a former prison in Camden, New Jersey that was operated by the New Jersey Department of Corrections from August 12, 1985, to 2009. It was located in the neighborhood of Cooper Point at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Elm Street.The prison first opened after the state paid Camden money in exchange for receiving a plot of land that was used to establish the prison.In 2007, while the state was preparing to close Riverfront, it considered establishing a replacement state prison in Cumberland County, which already had three other state prisons. When officials from the city of Bridgeton, New Jersey heard of a state report proposing to move Riverfront's prisoners to South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, Bridgeton officials opposed the plans.Riverfront closed in 2009. The state had a savings of $43 million per year. Daniel Boone School is a historic school building located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1926–1927. It is a four-story, eight bay brick building with a two-story center section in the Late Gothic Revival-style. It features an off-center entrance with arched limestone surround, decorative tile mosaic panels, and a decorative brick and tile cornice. It is named for frontiersman Daniel Boone (1734-1820). It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Campbell's Field was a 6,425-seat baseball park in Camden, New Jersey, United States that hosted its first regular season baseball game on May 11, 2001. The ballpark was home to the Rutgers–Camden college baseball team, and until 2015 was home to the Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The naming rights were owned by the Camden-based Campbell Soup Company, which paid $3 million over ten years. Stadium demolition started in mid-December 2018. The park, located at Delaware and Penn Avenues on the Camden Waterfront, featured a commanding view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge connecting Camden with Philadelphia, Pennsylvania across the Delaware River. Views of the Philadelphia skyline could be seen from the right-field grandstand and via "Campbell's Field Cam", a stationary weather camera broadcast on KYW-TV.

The Benjamin Franklin Bridge, originally named the Delaware River Bridge and known locally as the Ben Franklin Bridge, is a suspension bridge across the Delaware River connecting Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Camden, New Jersey. Owned and operated by the Delaware River Port Authority, it is one of four primary vehicular bridges between Philadelphia and southern New Jersey, along with the Betsy Ross, Walt Whitman, and Tacony-Palmyra bridges. It carries Interstate 676/U.S. Route 30, pedestrians/cyclists, and the PATCO Speedline. The bridge was dedicated as part of the 1926 Sesquicentennial Exposition, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. From 1926 to 1929, it had the longest single span of any suspension bridge in the world.

USS Edgar F. Coney (SP-346) was an armed tug that served in the United States Navy from 1917 to 1919. Edgar F. Coney was built as a commercial steam tug of the same name in 1904 by John B. Dialogue & Sons at Camden, New Jersey, for the South Atlantic Towboat Company. On 22 September 1917, the U.S. Navy chartered her from her owner – by then Philip Shore of Tampa, Florida – for use during World War I. She was commissioned the same day as USS Edgar F. Coney (SP-346). Assigned to the 3rd Naval District, Edgar F. Coney was based at Tompkinsville, Staten Island, New York. She carried out towing duties in the New York City area for the remainder of World War I and into 1919. Edgar F. Coney was decommissioned on 5 July 1919 and returned to her owner the same day. She returned to commercial service. The Tug sank 28 January 1930 in the Gulf of Mexico in rough seas and high winds 70 miles south east of Port Arthur, Texas. Lost with all 14 hands.

Cooper-Grant is a neighborhood located in the northwestern part of Camden, New Jersey. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the neighborhood has a population of 838. The neighborhood is situated near the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and Rutgers University–Camden. It is served by the Cooper Street – Rutgers University River LINE station. The neighborhood is home to the Cooper-Grant Historic District which includes 93 buildings spread over 250 acres. Cooper-Grant is considered one of the city's contemporary residential success stories. It has a relatively low-crime rate and many residents are college-educated professionals and students.

Rutgers University–Camden is one of three regional campuses of Rutgers University, a public land-grant research university consisting of four campuses in New Jersey. It is located in Camden, New Jersey. Founded in 1929 as the South Jersey Law School, Rutgers–Camden began as an amalgam of the South Jersey Law School and the College of South Jersey. It is the southernmost of the three regional campuses of Rutgers—the others being located in New Brunswick and Newark. It is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity".

The Treaty of Shackamaxon, also called the Great Treaty and Penn's Treaty, was a legendary treaty between William Penn and Tamanend of the Lenape signed in 1682. Penn and Tamanend agreed that their people would live in a state of perpetual peace.

Penn Treaty Park is a small park on the western bank of the Delaware River, in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located on Beach Street, near its intersection with Delaware Avenue. The land that is now the park was part of the LenapeShackamaxon, where William Penn famously entered into a treaty of peace with Tamanend, a chief of the Lenape Turtle Clan in 1683.
