Darland High School is a mixed, non-denominational high school in Rossett, Wales, established in 1958. Its current head teacher is Joanne Lee.

Rossett (Welsh: Yr Orsedd or Yr Orsedd Goch) is a village, community and electoral ward in Wrexham County Borough, Wales. Rossett is served by the A483 road. At the time of the 2001 census, Rossett community (including Rossett itself and the villages of Burton, Burton Green, Trevalyn and Lavister) had a total population of 3,336 people, falling to 3,231 in the 2011 census.

St Mary's Church is in the village of Pulford, Cheshire, England. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the deanery of Chester. Its benefice is combined with that of St Mary, Eccleston.

The River Alyn (Welsh: Afon Alun) is a tributary of the River Dee in north-east Wales. It rises at the southern end of the Clwydian hills and the Alyn Valley forms part of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The main town on the river is Mold, the county town of Flintshire. It lends its name to the constitutencies of Alyn and Deeside in the UK Parliament and the Senedd. The River Alyn crosses the carboniferous limestone from Halkyn Mountain and north through the Loggerheads area before heading southeast, passing through Mold before reaching its confluence with the River Dee northeast of Wrexham. Between Loggerheads and Rhydymwyn it runs through the Alyn Gorge, which is the site of the caves Ogof Hesp Alyn, Ogof Hen Ffynhonnau and Ogof Nadolig. It mainly runs across a limestone surface, creating potholes and underwater caves, into which the river flows through some of the summer, when water levels have decreased significantly. For parts of this stretch the river bed is dry for most of the year. Flows in the River Alyn are significantly affected by mining, particularly the Milwr mine drainage tunnel which diverts a sizeable amount (23 million gallons of water per day.) of the River Alyn out of its catchment and into the Dee estuary at Bagillt.

Pulford is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Poulton and Pulford, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is on the B5445 road, to the south west of Chester and on the border with Wales. The civil parish, which included the hamlet of Cuckoo's Nest, was abolished on 1 April 2015 and merged with Poulton to form "Poulton and Pulford".According to the 2001 census, the population of the entire parish was 395, increasing to 580 at the 2011 census.

Trevalyn Hall in Rossett, a Grade II* listed building, is an Elizabethan manor house near Wrexham in Wales. It was built by John Trevor in 1576. The Trevor family of Trevalyn were one of the leading families in East Denbighshire by about 1600 with numerous estates in both Flintshire and Denbighshire. The Plas Teg estate in Hope, Flintshire was also acquired by the Denbighshire branch of the family when it was purchased from a cousin by Sir John Trevor I (1563–1630) and it was he who built the present Plas Teg house in 1610. The Hall is constructed from brick with stone dressings on a stone plinth of five exposed courses. There are five bays with the end wings and central entrance bay projecting to the south-east on a H-plan. The three bays at the front elevation have decorative tulip-shaped finials at base and apex of the gables. Between the windows of the first and second storeys there are armorial bearings carved in stone including those of the Sackville Family There is some evidence to suggest that the service wing and corridor linking it to the main house were rendered with pebbledash in the early 1800s to mirror the new estate cottages of Gresford and Rossett. In later years the render was removed. The interior was remodelled in the 1830s by architect Thomas Jones for the Grifith family. Trevalyn Hall was Grade II* listed on 9 June 1952 due to it being an important example of an Elizabethan country house, and for historic associations with the Trevor family who developed much of the surrounding built environment. In 1984 the Hall was divided into two residences, retaining many original features including the fireplaces by Jones. In recent years the Hall has undergone more sympathetic restoration and redecoration by the current owner, Alexander Daghlian, who received an Excellence Award from LABC for the Best Extension in 2018. The extension of the building created an orangery for the property that was designed to reflect the original building using reclaimed brick, incorporating sandstone dressings and bronze casement windows. Some of the work undertaken during 1980s used materials and techniques unsuitable for use in a historic building. These materials have been stripped out and the building refurbished and upgraded using traditional and breathable materials. In particular the roof has been insulated with sheep’s wool, walls re-plastered in hemp plaster and redecorated in clay paints, windows overhauled, and a limecrete floor with underfloor heating installed. During the works a 16th-century fireplace was also uncovered and restored.

Christ Church is a church of the Church in Wales, situated in Rossett, Wrexham County Borough, Wales. It is designated by Cadw as a Grade II listed building. Christ Church is an active Anglican church in the Alyn Mission Area, the archdeaconry of Wrexham and the diocese of St Asaph.

Horsley Hall was a Jacobethan-style house with formal gardens, near to Gresford, Wrexham County Borough, that was destroyed in 1963.

The Presbyterian Chapel, Rossett, is on Station Road, in Rossett, Wrexham County Borough, Wales. It continues to be active as a Welsh Presbyterian church.The church was built in 1875 to a design by the Chester architect John Douglas. It has lancet windows and a flèche which is tiered at its base. At the end of the gable is a timber porch.

Poulton is a settlement and former civil parish, now in the parish of Poulton and Pulford, in the Cheshire West and Chester, in the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. In 2001 census the parish had a recorded population of 92.Since 1995, significant archaeological activity has been conducted in the area, first by the University of Liverpool and later by the independent group known as the Poulton Research Project.
