The Hon. Donald Melville MLC (1829 – 20 March 1919) was a Scottish-born Australian politician, auctioneer, and rural broker.

The Brunswick Gas Works was a former gasworks located at 21 Hope Street, Brunswick, an inner northern suburb of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. Built between 1889 and 1891, the only extant structure is the gasworks' former retort house. Repurposed several times since its construction, the building has been used as a cafe since 2010. The former retort house was added to the Victorian Heritage Register on 17 April 2003 in recognition of its architectural and historical significance.

Craig and Seeley Limited is a former Australian home appliance manufacturer, that was based in Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. Established in the 1950s, the company flourished during the post-war years when the popular Chef brand appliances became a household name. The company operated as a subsidiary of Vulcan Industries in the early 1970s, and then Email Limited, before it collapsed in November 2001. The appliance brands of Email were acquired by the Swedish-multinational Electrolux group, including the Chef brand. The Craig and Seeley offices and showroom were located at 35 Hope Street, Brunswick, an inner northern suburb of Melbourne. Completed in 1962, the building was added to the Victorian Heritage Register on 17 April 2003 in recognition of its architectural, aesthetic and historical significance.

East Bourke Boroughs was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria from 1859 to 1904. Brunswick tram depot is located on Sydney Road, Brunswick, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. It opened on 26 April 1936 in conjunction with the electrification of the Brunswick and North Melbourne Cable tram line. Operated by Yarra Trams, it is one of eight tram depots on the Melbourne tram network.

The Hooper's Store, known as Hardwicks Building since c. 2006, is a commercial building located at 459–475 Sydney Road, Brunswick, an inner northern suburb of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. Built in 1908 for the J. H. Hooper & Company as a retail drapery store up until 1935, the building was subsequently repurposed as a bridal emporium. The building was added to the Victorian Heritage Register on 20 February 1997 in recognition of its architectural and historical significance.

The Australian Licorice Company was a former confectionery manufacturer, located in Brunswick, an inner northern suburb of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. The company was established in 1903 and was a leading Australian manufacturer of licorice products from the 1920s to the 1980s. The company became a subsidiary of Allen's Sweets in 1969. Its Brunswick factory was built in 1922 and closed in 1985. All that remains is a redundant chimney on a site that was occupied by Nestlé. The former factory remnants were added to the Victorian Heritage Register on 9 January 1997 in recognition of its historic, social, architectural and scientific importance.

The City of Brunswick was a local government area in the inner-northern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It comprised the suburbs of Brunswick, Brunswick East and West Brunswick. It ceased to exist on 22 June 1994, when its council was disbanded by the Kennett Government and replaced with appointed commissioners, who oversaw its amalgamation with the City of Coburg and parts of the City of Broadmeadows, to create the City of Moreland.

Brunswick is an inner-city suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 5 km (3.1 mi) north of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Merri-bek local government area. Brunswick recorded a population of 24,896 at the 2021 census.Traditionally a working class area noted for its large Italian and Greek communities, Brunswick is currently known for its bohemian culture and strong arts and live music scenes. It is also home to a large student population owing to its proximity to the University of Melbourne and RMIT University, the latter of which has a campus in the suburb. Brunswick's major thoroughfare is Sydney Road, one of Melbourne's major commercial and nightlife strips. It also encompasses the northern section of Lygon Street, synonymous with the Italian community of Melbourne, which forms its border with Brunswick East. Brunswick takes its name from George IV and the city of Brunswick, Germany, which lay within his ancestral Kingdom of Hanover. It is bordered to the south by the suburbs of Princes Hill and Parkville, to the east by Brunswick East, to the north by Coburg and to the west by Brunswick West.

The Brunswick Fire Station and Flats, located at 24 Blyth Street, Brunswick, Victoria, Australia, was constructed in 1937–1938. Designed by Seabrook and Fildes, it was the first fire station commissioned by the Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade to embrace a Modernist ideology.: 104 Seabrook's father, who was Chairman of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade at the time, was no doubt influential in ensuring his son's practice was awarded the contract, the first of twelve the firm designed which included the stations at Camberwell (1938), Brighton (1939) and Windsor (1941).
