Puddington, Cheshire

Puddington Hall is a country house in the village of Puddington, Cheshire, England. It was built between 1872 and 1874 for Sir Rowland Stanley Errington, and altered in about 1904. It has since been divided into two houses. The older part of the house is constructed in red sandstone; the later part is partly timber-framed and partly pebbledashed. It is roofed with stone slates. The house is in two storeys plus attics, with an entrance front of six bays. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Burton is a village on the Wirral Peninsula, in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is situated south of the town of Neston. At the 2001 Census, the settlement constituted part of the Burton and Ness Ward of the Borough of Ellesmere Port and Neston. The population of the village was 715 with the ward having a total population of 1,620. As of 2024 Burton is part of Willaston and Thornton Ward.

Its furniture includes some ancient items. In the churchyard are several structures that are Grade II listed. The church is an active parish church in the Diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the deanery of Wirral South. Its benefice is combined with that of St Nicholas, Burton.

Shotwick is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Puddington, on the southern end of the Wirral Peninsula in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The village is close to the county of Flintshire on the England–Wales border. The village was located on the River Dee until it was canalised in 1736 after which the reclaimed land has since developed into the neighbouring Deeside Industrial Park.

Burton Manor is a former manor house in the village of Burton, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. At one time an adult education college, this is now closed, but the walled garden is open to the public and is administered by the Friends of Burton Manor Gardens.

Deeside Parkway (Welsh: Parcffordd Glannau Dyfrdwy) is a proposed railway station situated between Neston and Hawarden Bridge on the Borderlands Line. The station is intended to serve the Deeside area of Flintshire, North Wales, particularly the Deeside Industrial Park. Deeside Parkway station forms part of the wider plan for the North Wales Metro, and is considered to be a key component of the plan. The proposed station was shortlisted for preliminary assessment by the Welsh Government in July 2017, and prioritised for development in April 2019. Funding to develop the proposal was announced in November 2020, as part of the third round of the New Stations Fund. The station has a projected cost of £22.56m to build, exclusive of VAT.The October 2017 Liverpool City Region Combined Authority update to the Long Term Rail Strategy mentions the station at Deeside Industrial Park as planned to be built between Network Rail Control Periods CP5 and CP7.

Sealand was the final station on the former Chester & Connah's Quay Railway between Chester Northgate and Hawarden Bridge. Services also passed through this station before joining the North Wales and Liverpool Railway. Located 200 metres (660 ft) west of the A550 near RAF Sealand, the station was just before a triangular junction at Dee marshes which controlled rail services from North Wales, Liverpool and Cheshire.
