Tangmere

The Tangmere Military Aviation Museum is a museum located on the former site of RAF Tangmere, West Sussex. The museum was opened in June 1982. Many aerospace exhibits covering the First World War to the Cold War are on display including fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and aircraft engines.

St Andrew's Church is a Church of England church, located in Tangmere, West Sussex. It lies within the Diocese of Chichester.

Boxgrove is a village, ecclesiastical parish and civil parish in the Chichester District of the English county of West Sussex, about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north east of the city of Chichester. The village is just south of the A285 road which follows the line of the Roman road Stane Street. The Anglican parish has an area of 1,169 hectares (2,890 acres). According to the 2001 census it had a population of 901 people living in 423 households of whom 397 were economically active. The 2011 Census indicated at population of 957. Included in the parish are the hamlets of Crockerhill, Strettington and Halnaker.

Boxgrove Priory is a ruined priory in the village of Boxgrove in Sussex, England. It was founded in the 12th century.

Royal Air Force Tangmere or more simply RAF Tangmere is a former Royal Air Force station located in Tangmere, England, famous for its role in the Battle of Britain.It was one of several stations near Chichester, West Sussex. The famous Second World War aces Wing Commander Douglas Bader, and the then inexperienced Johnnie Johnson were stationed at Tangmere in 1941.

Halnaker is a hamlet in the Chichester district of West Sussex, England. It lies on the A285 road 3.5 miles (5.6 km) northeast of Chichester, where it follows the line of the Roman road to London called Stane Street. There is a pub, The Anglesey Arms. Goodwood House is southwest of the village. North of the village Halnaker Windmill stands on 128 metre/420 feet high Halnaker Hill, a southern outpost of the South Downs. It is in the civil parish of Boxgrove.

Oving is a small village, and civil and ecclesiastical parish in the Chichester District of West Sussex, England. The village lies about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) east of the city of Chichester. The civil parish includes the settlements of Colworth, Drayton, Merston, and Shopwhyke.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an annual motorsports festival featuring modern and historic motor racing vehicles taking part in a hill climb and other events, held in Goodwood House, West Sussex, England, in late June or early July. The event is scheduled to avoid clashing with the Formula One season, enabling fans to see F1 machines as well as cars and motorbikes from motor racing history climb the hill. In the early years of the Festival, tens of thousands attended over the weekend. As of 2014 it attracted crowds of around 100,000 on each of the three days it was held. A record crowd of 158,000 attended in 2003, before an advance-ticket-only admission policy came into force; attendance was subsequently capped at 150,000.

Westbourne House School is an independent preparatory school 1½ miles east of Chichester, West Sussex, England. It is co-educational and serves around 450 boarding and day-school pupils from ages 3–13. The headmaster is Martin Barker. The school is set in grounds of 100 acres. The school has extensive sports facilities.

Aldingbourne is a village, Anglican parish and civil parish in the Arun District of West Sussex, England. Its centre is 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Bognor Regis and 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Chichester with the A29 and A27 main roads running through it. The civil parish is named for the small village of Aldingbourne, but most of the population is in Westergate, and the smaller settlements of Norton, Nyton, Woodgate, Lidsey and part of Shripney. The ecclesiastical parish extends to 3,060 acres (1,240 ha), and was a significant settlement at the time of the Domesday Survey of 1086.

The Cass Sculpture Foundation was a charitable commissioning body based in Goodwood, Sussex, England. The Foundation's 26-acre grounds were home to an ever-changing display of 80 monumental sculptures, all of which were available for sale with the proceeds going directly to artists. The Foundation was a self-sufficient body reliant on sales of commissioned sculpture and visitor entrance fees. After a review in 2020 the Foundation's Trustees made the decision to wind up the foundation and the park was closed. The Foundation's archive of drawings and maquettes was due to be donated to the nearby Pallant House Gallery.

The Goodwood plant serves as the headquarters, design, manufacturing and assembly centre for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Officially opened on 1 January 2003, the plant is situated on a site covering 42 acres (17 ha). The plant has been expanded since. Over 1,700 workers are currently employed at Goodwood. At present (2017) the plant produces approximately 20 cars a day.
