Takinozeki Dam

Mineokasankei Prefectural Natural Park (県立嶺岡山系自然公園, Kenritsu Mineokasankei shizen kōen) is a Prefectural Natural Park in southern Chiba Prefecture, Japan. First designated for protection in 1935, the park's central features are the Mineoka Mountains. The park spans the municipalities of Kamogawa and Minamibōsō.

Haccho-zeki is an earthfill dam located in Chiba Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for irrigation. The dam impounds about 2 ha of land when full and can store 151 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was completed in 1933.

Mount Karasuba (烏場山, Karasuba-yama) is a mountain of modest height on the border of the cities Minamibōsō and Kamogawa in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, reaching an elevation of 266.6 m (875 ft). It is one of the mountains of the Mineoka Mountain District of the Bōsō Hill Range. The kanji for Mount Karasuba, 烏 and 場, mean 'crow' and 'place' respectively. The mountain became a popular hiking destination after the construction of a hiking trail in 1975. The trail features three viewing platforms that offer views of the Pacific Ocean, surrounding hills, and nearby cities. Mount Karasuba is covered by a laurisilva forest, a type of laurel forest found in subtropical areas. It is home to many examples of the Japanese stone oak and the sudajii castanopsis, an evergreen beech tree. The area around the Odawara district of Minamibōsō is a base for floriculture, and there are many flower fields at the base of Mount Karasuba, even in winter.

The Bōsō Hill Range (房総丘陵, Bōsō-kyūryō) is a mountain range on the Bōsō Peninsula of Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The highest point in the Bōsō Mountain Range is at Mount Atago, with an altitude of 408.2 m (1,339 ft). The hill range runs from roughly in a line from Mobara or Ōamishirasato to Kisarazu, but is not formally defined. It is an important part of the Minami Bōsō Quasi-National Park.

Mount Atago (愛宕山, Atago-yama) is a mountain on the border of the cities of Minamibōsō and Kamogawa in Chiba Prefecture, Japan with an altitude of 408.2 m (1,339 ft). It is the highest point in Chiba Prefecture. Mount Atago is at the west of the Mineoka Mountain District of the Bōsō Hill Range. The kanji for Mount Atago, 愛 and 宕, mean 'love' and 'cave' respectively. The mountain is also known as Mineoka Atago-yama as several other hills and mountains share the same name in Japan, most notably Mount Atago in the Tamba Mountains to the northwest of Kyōto.

Mineoka Mountain District (嶺岡山地, Mineoka-sanchi) is an area in the Bōsō Hill Range in the southern part of Chiba Prefecture. The Mineoka Mountain District runs along an east–west line across the southern part of the Bōsō Peninsula from the southern bank of the Kamo River in Kamogawa, facing the Pacific Ocean, to the Sakuma District of Kyonan, facing Tokyo Bay. The highest peak in the mountain district is at Mount Atago 408.2 m (1,339 ft) Mineoka is formed from two kanji characters: the first "嶺", meaning 'peak' or 'summit' and the second "岡" meaning 'mount' or 'hill.'

Komukai Dam is a gravity dam located in Chiba Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for water supply. The catchment area of the dam is 11.3 km2. The dam impounds about 10 ha of land when full and can store 950 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1972 and completed in 1975.

The total area of the city is 191.14 square kilometers (73.80 sq mi). The name of the city consists of two kanji characters: the first, kamo (鴨), meaning "duck", and the second, kawa (川), meaning "river".
