The Crest Theatre is a historic theatre located in downtown Sacramento, California.

The Sacramento French Film Festival is an annual film festival founded in 2001 held on the last two weekends of June at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento, California. It celebrates the present as well as the rich history of French cinema featuring new releases and rarely seen classics. It is the only festival dedicated to French cinema in Northern California and one of only two on the West coast. It was described in the Sacramento Bee in July 2003, as “the Cinematic Highlight of Sacramento's Summer”. The SFFF opens each year on a Friday night with a catered reception followed by the opening film. Films continue all day long Saturday and Sunday for two consecutive weekends. Midnight movies are presented on Saturdays for mature audiences. The Festival ends on a Sunday night with an informal champagne cocktail following the closing film. All films are presented in French with English subtitles. Each film is shown either once or twice. The Festival also has a short film program of French and locally made films. The festival posters are created by local Sacramento photographer, Kent Lacin.

Mohr and Yoerk Market is a historic apartment building located in Sacramento, California constructed in 1911 in the Prairie School style. It is a 4 and a half story building with ground floor retail and apartments above. It was built to showcase the Mohr and Yoerk Market, which an early supermarket that combined meat products with a variety of foods from other departments, the first on the west coast.

The University of Northern California, Lorenzo Patiño School of Law (UNC) was a private law school located in Sacramento, California. UNC offered a part-time, four-year law program as well as a paralegal program. Law school registration was terminated during the June 28–29, 2013 meeting of the State Bar. As of June 30, 2013, UNC was no longer listed as a law school by the State Bar of California Committee of Bar Examiners and the University of Northern California's website removed the listing of the Juris Doctor as one of its academic programs.

The Hotel Lenhart located in Sacramento, California is a historic hotel designed in the Italian Renaissance Revival style by architect Seadler & Hoen. Originally two separate buildings, they were conjoined in 1933 and it became one of Sacramento's leading hotels. It operated as the Capitol Park Hotel from 1966 until 2024, when it reopened for permanent homeless housing, known as the Saint Clare at Capitol Park.

Cesar Chavez Plaza, or Cesar Chavez Park, is a city park in Sacramento, California, named after César Chávez. For more than a century the downtown square has been a focal point for community activities, including the Farmers' Market, music concerts, and community rallies.Occupying an entire block between I and J Streets and 9th and 10th Streets in downtown Sacramento, Cesar Chavez Park and Plaza currently stands on Old City Plaza founded in 1849 by John Sutter. At one time, the California State Capitol Building was proposed for the location, but the idea was abandoned in 1857 after residents voiced concerns. In 1872, developer and land designer John Keating was hired to create a plan for the park. Many of his original design elements, including the central fountain, circular pathways, and cross-axial walkways still remain today. Cesar Chavez Plaza was designated as part of the Plaza Park/Central Business District Historic District on the city's Register of Historic and Cultural Resources in 1985, and has since been utilized in efforts to bring more residents and businesses to Sacramento's downtown core.Many prominent and historic buildings with notable architecture surround Cesar Chavez Park and Plaza. To the north of the plaza is architect Rudolph A. Herold's 1911 Beaux-Arts–style Sacramento City Hall and to the south is the newly renovated Citizen's Hotel, originally built in 1926 and designed by G. C. Sellon & Company. Other notable buildings adjacent to the Cesar Chavez Plaza include architect Loring P. Rixford's 1918 Renaissance Revival style Central Library and Leonard Starks' 1933 Neoclassical Federal Post Office Building. The Neoclassical California State Capitol Building, designed by M. Frederick Butler and built between 1861 and 1874, is only three blocks away in Capitol Park. Framing the northeast corner of the Cesar Chavez Plaza is the California Environmental Protection Agency Headquarters, the first building in the United States to receive Platinum LEED certification. Two designated Sacramento City Landmarks exist in Cesar Chavez Plaza, the A.J. Stevens Statue (1888), and the Coleman Memorial (1926).Cesar Chavez Park and Plaza has undergone multiple renovations during its 150-year lifetime in order to maintain, beautify, and adapt the space for new public needs, such as from 1990 to 1998. Most recently in 2012, the plaza underwent renovations that included installing new turf, planter boxes and benches, and raising the stage for concerts. The plaza continues to be a popular gathering place for residents and visitors. From May through October, a weekly farmer's market is hosted in the plaza by Certified Farmer's Markets of Sacramento. Many concerts are held there throughout the year, including the ongoing concert series Fiesta en la Calle and Friday Night Concerts in the Park. Cesar Chavez Plaza is also home to the Raley's Grape Escape, an event showcasing the region's food and wine offerings. Popular restaurant Cafe Soleil occupies a structure in the plaza, serving breakfast and lunch to residents and employees in the area. Cesar Chavez Park and Plaza was recognized as a Great Public Space by the American Planning Association in its 2012 list of Great Places in America. Since 2007, the association annually selects certain neighborhoods, streets, and public spaces throughout the United States that display “exemplary character, quality, and planning” and possess a “true sense of place, cultural and historical interest, community involvement, resilience, and a vision for the future.” Cesar Chavez Plaza was chosen by the American Planning Association as a Great Public Space because of its design, historical significance, scenic vistas, frequent use by residents and visitors, and the success of the many planning efforts that have shaped the space into its current form.Within the Sacramento community, Cesar Chavez Plaza is well-known for serving as a gathering place and living quarters for large numbers of homeless people. Biologist Edward M. Barrows studied some kinds of floral visitors in the Plaza’s four beds of Hemerocallis Stella de Oro in 2014.

The William Coleman Memorial Fountain is a stone fountain created by sculptor Ralph Stackpole and located in Cesar Chavez Plaza at 10th and J streets in Sacramento, California. Florence Coleman bequeathed $30,000 to the city of Sacramento with which to erect a fountain in the memory of her late husband, William Coleman. Her chosen sculptor, Amanda Austin, was picked in 1916 to create it; but she died a year later, and it was another decade before Stackpole's work was unveiled. The fountain consists of bas-reliefs of three native female figures who represent the three main rivers of the area—the Sacramento, the American and the Feather. The work was commissioned from Stackpole in 1924 and dedicated on February 26, 1927. The style used by Stackpole was influenced by his admiration of the work of the Mexican artists Jose Orozco, Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo.

The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento, in Sacramento, capital of the state of California. The cathedral holds the diocesan bishop’s throne or “cathedra”, which represents the bishop's teaching authority over his flock. The present ordinary of the Diocese of Sacramento is Jaime Soto, appointed by Pope Benedict XVI. The cathedral is located downtown at the intersection of 11th and K Streets. The cathedral is considered both a religious and civic landmark. The diocese stretches from the southern edge of Sacramento County north to the Oregon border and serves approximately 1,000,000 Catholics. The diocese encompasses 102 churches in a 42,000 square mile region. The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament is one of the largest cathedrals west of the Mississippi River. Because of its size, it has sometimes been used as the site of final funeral Masses for former governors of California, most recently that of Pat Brown in 1996.

Park Tower is a 380-foot (120 m) skyscraper in Sacramento, California, completed in 1991. The 26-story tower was the tallest in the city when completed. The building was named U.S. Bank Plaza until U.S. Bank moved to U.S. Bank Tower in 2008. Previously owned by the Shorenstein Company, the building was bought by Hines in 2017.
