The Pacific Coast Railway Company Grain Warehouse is a warehouse building located at 65 Higuera St. in San Luis Obispo, California. The warehouse is the only surviving building from the Pacific Coast Railway's headquarters as well as the only extant grain storage building in San Luis Obispo. The date of the building's construction is uncertain; city records state that it was built in 1885, but it may have been rebuilt in 1892–93 after a fire. The wood frame building has corrugated iron paneling on its walls and roof, a typical design for contemporary storage buildings. The Pacific Coast Railway used the warehouse from its construction until the railway folded in 1942; the warehouse held grain grown in the region, which was at the time a major producer of grain and beans.The warehouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 23, 1988.

The Dalidio Ranch Project refers to a development project proposal most recently known as Measure J, which was voted on by the citizens of San Luis Obispo County, California, on the November 7, 2006, ballot. The parcel proposed for the development project is a 131-acre (53 ha) parcel of farmland located adjacent to San Luis Obispo, California, west of U.S. Route 101, and east of Madonna Road. The parcel is south of the Promenade Shopping Center and bordered by Prefumo Creek. The project proposed would include "a 13-acre (5.3 ha) organic farm, a seven-day-a-week farmers' market, a monarch butterfly preserve visible from a grove of eucalyptus trees, a drive-through (possibly 24-hour) pharmacy, retail development featuring walkways and ornate fountains, and 60 units of workforce housing," and the construction of an overpass connecting U.S. Route 101 and Prado Road, according to an article by New Times San Luis Obispo. Ernie Dalidio was the former owner of Dalidio Ranch, and actively petitioned for the city annexation of the land starting in 1991; he sold the property in 2013.

San Luis Obispo (; Spanish for "St. Louis the Bishop", Spanish: [san ˈlwis oˈβispo]; Chumash: tiłhini) is a city and county seat of San Luis Obispo County, in the U.S. state of California. Located on the Central Coast of California, San Luis Obispo is roughly halfway between the San Francisco Bay Area in the north and Greater Los Angeles in the south. The Robert Jack House, at 536 Marsh St. in San Luis Obispo, California, is a two-story Italianate-style historic house. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. The listing included two contributing buildings.The Jack House is now owned by the City of San Luis Obispo. Volunteer docents offer guided tours on Sundays from April through November, and the house is also open for holiday celebrations and special events. The house was built by, and was a home of, Robert Edgar Jack (died 1916), who was "a prominent banker and land developer and wool grower in Central California.": 8  The house was deemed significant for its association with Jack. He lived there from 1882 until his death. Jack, as a banker and a leading citizen, was quite involved in promoting the development of railroad through the central coast, and also benefited economically from the railroad. The house is also perhaps of significance architecturally as a good example of Italianate architecture.

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is a parish of the Episcopal Church in San Luis Obispo, California. The parish was established in 1867, and the church building was completed shortly thereafter. The current Rector is Rev. Ian Delinger.

Bubblegum Alley is a tourist attraction in downtown San Luis Obispo, California, known for its accumulation of used bubble gum on the walls of an alley. It is a 15-foot (4.6 m) high and 70-foot (21 m) long alley lined with chewed gum left by passers-by. It covers a stretch of 20 meters in the 700 block of Higuera Street in downtown San Luis Obispo.

Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School is a private Roman Catholic high school in San Luis Obispo, California, United States. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Monterey.

The Myron Angel House is a historic house located at 714 Buchon St. in San Luis Obispo, California. Built circa 1880, the house has a vernacular design which does not follow a particular architectural style. The two-story wood-frame house has redwood siding, a shingled gable roof, and some Eastlake details in the window surrounds and gable ends. The house was once the home of Myron Angel, the main figure in the establishment of California Polytechnic State University. Angel, who lived in the house from 1889 to his 1911 death, proposed and lobbied for the creation of a polytechnic school in California; it was mainly due to his campaign that Cal Poly was founded in San Luis Obispo. In addition to his educational activism, Angel was also an influential journalist and historian.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 22, 1982.

Cerro San Luis Obispo (Obispeño: łpɨłhɨtšnuka ) is a 1,292 feet (394 m) mountain in San Luis Obispo, California. It is part of the chain of peaks called the Nine Sisters. It is a common spot for hiking, jogging and mountain biking, and has steep terrain. Below the west side of the visible peak, there is a large plateau with a large wooden stage on the east end. The large white "M" present on the east face derives from Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School.

Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa (Spanish: Misión San Luis Obispo de Tolosa) is a Spanish mission founded September 1, 1772 by Father Junípero Serra in San Luis Obispo, California. Named after Saint Louis of Anjou, the bishop of Toulouse, the mission is the namesake of San Luis Obispo. The mission offers public tours of the church and grounds. The Mission of San Luis Obispo is unusual in its design, in that its combination of belfry and vestibule are found nowhere else among the California missions. Like other churches, the main nave is short and narrow, but at the San Luis Obispo Mission, there is a secondary nave of almost equal size situated to the right of the altar, making it the only L-shaped mission church in California.

The San Luis Obispo Carnegie Library is a Carnegie library located at 696 Monterey St. in San Luis Obispo, California. The library building was funded by the Carnegie foundation in 1903 and built in 1905; it housed the city's subscription library program, which had operated since 1894. William H. Weeks, who designed 21 Carnegie libraries in California, designed the San Luis Obispo library in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The library's design includes a tall hipped roof with two gabled wings, decorations including gargoyles in the gable ends, and an entrance portico with multiple round arches. The building is mainly faced in red brick with yellow sandstone trim, but the basement is faced in dark gray granite. The library operated until 1955 and became a county historical museum the following year.The library building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 30, 1995.
