The Milton Historic District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on November 12, 1987) located in Milton, Florida. The district is along US 90 at the Blackwater River, bounded by Berryhill, Willing, Hill, Canal, Margaret, & Susan Streets. It contains 117 historic buildings.

The Ollinger-Cobb House is a historic residential building located at 302 Pine Street in Milton, Santa Rosa County, Florida. On January 11, 1983, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. In 1989, the house was listed in A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture, published by the University of Florida Press.

St. Mary's Church is a parish in the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast of the Episcopal Church based in Milton, Florida. It is noted for its historic Carpenter Gothic-style church and its adjacent rectory, also known as the McDougall House, located at 300 Oak Street, now 6841 Oak Street. On May 6, 1982, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places as "St. Mary's Episcopal Church and Rectory." The congregation first met for worship on August 4, 1867. The current church opened for services in 1878. As with other Carpenter Gothic churches, features of the Gothic Revival style have been executed in wood, such as its lancet windows, decorative bargeboards, and finials.In 1989, St. Mary's Episcopal Church was listed in A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture, published by the University of Florida Press. The listing quotes from Frank Lloyd Wright's book, The Aesthetics of American Architecture, in which he wrote: "Saint Mary's is a jewel created in the purest tradition of the Gothic Revival. It survives today with its pure lines intact, its muted colors untouched. Purity, it is without a blemish."The church celebrated its sesquicentennial anniversary in 2017.

The Louisville and Nashville Depot is an historic Louisville and Nashville Railroad depot located at 206 Henry Street in Milton, Santa Rosa County, Florida. It was built in 1909 on the site of the former Pensacola and Atlantic depot built in 1882 which burned down in 1907. In 1973, the station was closed, but partially restored with a 1976 Bicentennial grant. On October 29, 1982, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. In 1989, the depot was listed in A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture.Today the building is owned by the Santa Rosa Historical Society.

Milton is a city in and the county seat of Santa Rosa County, Florida. It is located within the Pensacola Metropolitan Statistical Area. Milton is located in the geographic center of Santa Rosa County and it is bordered by Pace to the west, and Navarre to the South. As of 2020, the population of the city of Milton was 10,197. The town was incorporated in 1844 and is home to Naval Air Station Whiting Field.

Milton High School (MHS) is a public four-year high school located in Milton, Florida. Milton High School was established in 1915 making it the oldest school in Santa Rosa County. The original campus was built on Canal Street in Milton, FL and held classes there until it moved to its current location on Stewart Street in 1953. The original building is now the home to the Santa Rosa County School Board offices. MHS enrolls over 1,800 students, grades nine through twelve. Milton High has had several principals over its more than 100 years of existence. Most recently, Don Lewis Lynn, Jr. was principal from 1999 to the 2006–07 school year, until taking an Assistant Superintendent position at the county level. Principal Michael Thorpe took over after Buddy Powell and served from 2008 to the 2014–2015 school year. Tim Short became principal in April 2015.

East Milton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Santa Rosa County, Florida, United States. Its population was 11,074 as of the 2010 census. As its name indicates, the community is located on the east bank of the Blackwater River opposite Milton, and to the north of Navarre.

The Bagdad Village Historic District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on December 8, 1987) located in Bagdad, Florida. The district is bounded by Main, Water, & Oak Streets, Cobb & Woodville Roads, Cemetery, Pooley, & School Streets. It contains 143 historic buildings.

Bagdad is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Rosa County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,490 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Pensacola–Ferry Pass–Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area.

SRMC is the primary provider of hospital-based healthcare services and emergency medicine in Santa Rosa County, Florida. The main hospital campus is located at 6002 Berryhill Road, Milton, FL 32570. The facility is leased and managed by Community Health Systems (CHS), a large U.S. healthcare company based in Franklin, Tennessee. SRMC, along with its affiliated health services facilities and clinics, is one of the largest employers in Santa Rosa County, Florida, employing nearly 700 staff and volunteers, over 200 physicians.

The Arcadia Sawmill and Arcadia Cotton Mill (also known as the Arcadia Mill Site or Escambia Manufacturing Company) is a historic site a mile southwest of Milton, Florida, United States. On August 3, 1987, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The remains of the early 19th century industrial water-powered mill complex are now part of the Arcadia Mill Archaeological Site, which is managed by the West Florida Historic Preservation. There is a visitor center and museum with exhibits about the site, and an elevated boardwalk through the archaeological remains of the complex and adjacent swamp. The West Florida Historic Preservation, part of the University of West Florida, also manages Historic Pensacola Village, the Pensacola Museum of History, and the Pensacola Historical Society.
