Lee USA Speedway

Lee is a town in Strafford County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 4,520 at the 2020 census. The town is a rural farm and bedroom community, being close to the University of New Hampshire.

The Little River is a 10.4-mile-long (16.7 km) river in southeastern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Lamprey River, part of the Great Bay and Piscataqua River watershed leading to the Atlantic Ocean. The river rises in Nottingham as the outlet of Mendums Pond. The river flows south, passing through Nottingham Lake, and then east, where it joins the Lamprey River near the town center of Lee.

Flag Hill Distillery & Winery is located in Lee, New Hampshire, United States. It is the largest vineyard in the state. Flag Hill was the first legal distillery in New Hampshire after Prohibition.

The North River is a 15.1-mile-long (24.3 km) river located in southeastern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Lamprey River, part of the Great Bay and Piscataqua River watershed leading to the Atlantic Ocean. The river begins at the outlet of North River Pond in the northern corner of Nottingham, New Hampshire. It flows southeast through hilly, wooded terrain, crossing the entire town of Nottingham, the southwest corner of Lee, and a northern part of Epping, where it joins the Lamprey. A major tributary of the North River is the Bean River, which joins from the west in the center part of Nottingham.

Nottingham is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 5,229 at the 2020 census, up from 4,785 at the 2010 census. It is the location of Pawtuckaway State Park.

Mendums Pond (occasionally spelled Mendum's Pond) is a 253-acre (1.02 km2) reservoir located primarily in Strafford County in eastern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Barrington. Its extreme southern end dips into the town of Nottingham in Rockingham County. The pond is located on the Little River, a tributary of the Lamprey River and part of the larger Piscataqua River watershed. Like nearby Pawtuckaway Lake, Mendums Pond was created to ensure a consistent water supply for the Newmarket Manufacturing Company, a water-powered cotton textile manufacturer founded in 1822. During drought, a regulated flow would be released from the dam to run mills downriver in Newmarket. The University of New Hampshire owns 187.6 acres (0.8 km2) of forestland on Mendums Pond. Arthur W. McDaniel donated a small parcel to the college in 1930, then the remainder in 1970. Located at the shoreline is the UNH Sailing Club, which holds intra-collegiate races, with the rest of the property divided into areas for recreation, wildlife and timber harvesting.The pond is classified as a warm water fishery, with observed species including smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, and horned pout.

The Dame School is a historic meeting house, school, and now local historical museum, on New Hampshire Route 152 in Nottingham, New Hampshire. The single story wood-frame Greek Revival structure was built in 1840 as a church; according to local legend, timbers from a 1740 church were used in its construction. Its main facade has a simple entrance topped by a transom window, and flanked by a pair of windows. The building is topped by a three-stage tower, whose second stage houses a belfry, and whose spire is topped by a weathervane in the shape of a quill pen. It was used as a meeting house until about 1878, with its dual use as a school beginning c. 1870. It was dedicated for academic use in 1878, after the local Universalist congregation which had been using for services, built its own dedicated building. This building is said to have acquired its distinctive weathervane as a gift in 1870 from schoolmaster Bartholomew Van Dame.The building was moved closer to the center in 1952, at which time it was mounted on a concrete foundation, and a sympathetic addition was made to increase its capacity. In 1995 a new central elementary school was built, and the addition was converted for use as a police station. This building was again moved to provide parking space for the police, and has been adapted for use as a local history museum and community center.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Bean River is a 7.4-mile (11.9 km) long river located in southeastern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the North River, part of the Lamprey River/Great Bay/Piscataqua River watershed leading to the Atlantic Ocean. The river rises near the summit of Saddleback Mountain on the border between Northwood and Deerfield. The river flows southeast through Deerfield and quickly enters Nottingham, where it picks up the north outlet of Pawtuckaway Lake shortly before joining the North River one mile north of Nottingham village.

The Square Schoolhouse is a historic schoolhouse at the junction of New Hampshire Route 156 and Ledge Hill Road in Nottingham, New Hampshire. Built about 1850, it is one of the best-preserved mid-19th century schoolhouses in southern New Hampshire. It served as a school until 1920, and is now a local museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is named not for its shape, but for its location in Nottingham Square.

The Spruce Hole Bog, locally known as Spruce Hole, is a complete ecological community occupying a true kettle hole in the town of Durham, New Hampshire. According to the National Register of Natural Landmarks: "It illustrates characteristics of a typical sphagnum-heath bog, localized in a specialized geologic setting." It was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1972. Spruce Hole is located 2 miles (3 km) west of the town center of Durham and is owned by the town, which has conserved 35 acres (14 ha) around it. It is reached by a woods road off Packer's Falls Road, and despite the name, the surrounding forest is mostly white pine, hemlock, and birch. The bog is also adjacent to the Oyster River Forest, a permanently conserved 172-acre (70 ha)+ parcel owned by the town of Durham.

Swains Lake (also known as Union Lake) is a 341-acre (1.38 km2) water body located in Strafford County in eastern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Barrington. Water from Swains Lake flows via the Bellamy River to the Piscataqua River estuary. A boat launch is available off Young Road. During the spring and summer it is a popular boating destination, while the ice of the colder months connects several snowmobile paths. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including largemouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, and bluegill.

The Wiswall Falls Mill Site (site 27-ST-38) is a historic archaeological industrial site in Durham, New Hampshire. It is located in John Hatch Park, a small public park just south of Wiswall Road on the eastern bank of the Lamprey River. The 3-acre (1.2 ha) site encompasses the remains of a small 19th-century mill complex that was one of Durham's major industrial sites of the 19th century until it burned in 1883. The site, which includes remains of the waterworks and foundations, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
