Wright Street Grounds

North Division High School (now North Division Virtual University High School) is one of the major public high schools in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, part of the Milwaukee Public Schools. It began operation in 1906, was abolished in 2006, and was reinstituted in 2011.

Lloyd Street Grounds was a baseball park located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was used by two different professional baseball clubs during 1895–1903. The field was situated about one mile northwest of downtown Milwaukee in the eastern part of a block bounded by West North Avenue on the north, North 16th Street on the east, North 18th Street on the west and West Lloyd Street on the south. The field faced due north, so Lloyd Street ran directly behind home plate and the grandstand.

The Lutheran High School of Milwaukee was a Lutheran high school operated by congregations of the Missouri and Wisconsin synods in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, area from 1903 to 1955. Started in an unused classroom of Immanuel Lutheran School with 18 students, it moved in 1904 to the former site of the Wisconsin Synod's seminary at 13th and Vine streets. Enrollment increased to 340 in 1929 and led to construction of additional buildings at the site. The Great Depression caused enrollment to decline to 265 in 1938, but with the end of the depression, enrollment steadily increased to 848 in 1948. Plans were initiated to build a larger school at a new site, but doctrinal differences between the two synods resulted in the decision for each synod to build its own separate high school and dissolve the joint operation. The Missouri Synod congregations opened Milwaukee Lutheran High School in September 1955, while the Wisconsin Synod congregations used the old campus for their school, Wisconsin Lutheran High School, until their new building opened in September 1959. The enrollment in the final year of joint operation, 1954–1955, was over 1,100. Both of the successor schools consider 1903 to be their founding date.

Borchert Field was a baseball park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The home field for several professional baseball clubs from 1888 through 1952, it became obsolete after the construction of County Stadium in 1953 and was demolished later that year. The site is now covered by Interstate 43.The park was built on a rectangular block bounded by North 7th, North 8th, West Chambers, and West Burleigh Streets. Home plate was at the south end (Chambers), with the outfield bounded by the outer fence, making fair territory home-plate-shaped, with short fields in left and right and very deep power alleys, a configuration used by a number of ballparks of the era that were constrained by a narrow block. The playing field's approximate elevation was 690 feet (210 m) above sea level.

The Alliance School is a public high school located in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It serves the needs of students in grades 9–12. The Milwaukee Public Schools website describes it as, "a safe place for students regardless of sexuality, identity, appearance, ability, or beliefs. Students considering Alliance should be open to working with students of all backgrounds and abilities. Academic excellence and the pursuit of higher education are expectations for all students."

Kindred Ties is a work of public art by Evelyn Patricia Terry located near the intersection of Fond du Lac Avenue, North Avenue and 21st Street on the north side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The artwork, a bus shelter of painted metal and glass, was commissioned by the Spirit of Milwaukee Neighborhood Millennium Art Initiative. Terry created the work in collaboration with a team of local artists.

The Baasen House-German YMCA in Milwaukee, Wisconsin dates from 1874. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It is a three-story brick building with a one-story brick-veneered 44 by 48 feet (13 m × 15 m) gable-roofed extension. The original house was built in 1874 for John F. Baasen, a leading citizen and a director of the Milwaukee-Horicon Railroad and of the Berlin and Lake Superior Railroad. It was designed in Italian Villa style by architect Charles A. Gombert and was one of few brick houses in the Brewers' Hill neighborhood.The house was home of the German Branch of the YMCA during 1888 to 1893; the extension, housing a gymnasium, was added in 1889.

Rufus King International Middle School is a public magnet intermediate school located on the north side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, part of the Milwaukee Public Schools district. It was launched in September 2010 in the Ronald McNair building. The middle school, which began its first school year in 2010, is part of the 6-12 program of Rufus King International School. The program incorporates the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. The curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, Spanish, and an engineering program. Electives include physical education, music and art.

St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Gothic Revival-styled church built in 1889 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by a congregation with German roots. In 1992, the church and associated buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is also designated a Milwaukee Landmark.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a public art work designed by American artist Erik Blome, located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The bronze sculpture depicts the civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. standing on a pedestal of books. It was commissioned by the YWCA of Greater Milwaukee and is located in front of the King Heights apartments.

First Flight is a public art work by artist Richard Taylor. It is located in front of the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center north of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin near 3rd and Walnut Streets. The sculpture is made of aluminum sheets cut and welded and painted white. The work was commissioned by First Stage to commemorate its 25th anniversary.
