Llanvair railway station

Llanfair Grange, Nant-y-derry, Monmouthshire is a country house dating from the 18th century. It was extensively remodelled in the early 19th century in a Neoclassical style. In the mid-20th century, the grange was owned by Harry Llewellyn, who founded the Foxhunter stud at the house, named after his most famous horse. The grange was the childhood home of his two sons, Dai and Roddy. The house, a Grade II listed building, remains a private residence and was sold in August 2021.

Nant-y-derry (Welsh: Nant-y-deri) is a village in the county of Monmouthshire, Wales, located six miles south east of Abergavenny and four miles northwest of Usk.

Nantyderry railway station was a former station which served the Monmouthshire village of Nant-y-derry. It was located on the Welsh Marches Line between Pontypool and Abergavenny.

Llanover (; Welsh: Llanofer; Welsh pronunciation: [ɬaˈnɔvɛr]) is a village in the community of Goetre Fawr in Monmouthshire, Wales.

Llanover House, Llanover, Monmouthshire, Wales, was a country house dating from the mid-19th century. Commissioned by Augusta Waddington, and her husband Benjamin Hall, later Baron Llanover, the house was designed by Thomas Hopper and was largely complete by 1837. Lady Llanover was an early champion of Welsh culture and the house became a centre for its investigation and promotion. In the grounds, the Halls created an extensive park. On the wider Ty Uchaf estate, which Lady Llanover had inherited from her father, the Halls created a model estate village, with housing for their workers, chapels, schools, police and fire services, and temperance public houses, as Lady Llanover was also a champion of abstinence. After Lord Llanover's death in 1867, his widow continued to live at the house until her own death in 1896. The house survived her by some 40 years and was demolished in 1936. The Llanover estate remains in the ownership of her descendants. It is designated at Grade II* on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales. The gardens and grounds are occasionally open to the public.

The Church of St Cadoc, Llangattock-Juxta-Usk, Monmouthshire is a parish church with its datable origins in the 15th century. The church was restored in 1827 and again in 1864–5. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Goytre (; Welsh: Goetre) is a village in the community of Goetre Fawr in Monmouthshire, south east Wales, United Kingdom. The population of the whole of Goetre Fawr, including Goytre, taken at the 2011 census was 2,393.

The Bryn, or Llangattock Nigh Usk (Welsh: Llangatwg Dyffryn Wysg), is a small village on the left bank of the River Usk in Monmouthshire, southeast Wales. It is accessed by a cul-de-sac minor road from the B4598 road, the reclassified former trunk road between Raglan and Abergavenny, now replaced by the modern A40 dual carriageway which runs east–west immediately north of the village. On the western edge of the village is St Cadoc's Church, a Gothic perpendicular style grade II* listed building probably dating from the fifteenth century. The village falls within the administrative community of Llanover. The Usk Valley Walk passes along the riverside path to the south.

Penperlleni is a hamlet within community and electoral ward of Goetre Fawr in Monmouthshire, Wales.

Penpergwm railway station was a former station which served the Monmouthshire, Wales, village of Penpergwm, although the community adjacent to the station was very small and it could equally be said to have served the larger village of Llangattock Nigh Usk (Llangatwg Dyffryn Wysg in Welsh) which lay less than half a mile away to the east. It was located on the Welsh Marches Line between Pontypool (formerly Pontypool Road) and Abergavenny. The former station house is now a private residence.The station closed in 1958. The double line remains in use and carries a regular service of trains between Cardiff, Newport and Hereford.

Penpergwm is a village in south Wales, situated along the A40 road, 3.9 miles (6.3 km) south-east of Abergavenny and 14 miles (23 km) west of Monmouth. The site of Castell Arnallt lies on a mound in the water meadows between the village and the River Usk.The village used to have to a railway station on the Welsh Marches Line, but it closed in 1958. The former station house is now a private residence.The former British politician Francis Pym was born in Penpergwm Lodge in the village.

The Church of St Bartholomew, Llanover, Monmouthshire is a parish church with its origins in the period following the Norman Conquest. The nave appears the earliest part of the present building, with the chancel dating from the 14th century, the tower from the 16th century and the porch from the 18th century. After a limited Victorian restoration in the middle of the 19th century, the church has been essentially unchanged. It is a Grade II* listed building.
