St Francis Xavier's College is a Roman Catholic secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Woolton, Liverpool, England. Year 7 to Year 11 are male only, whereas the Sixth Form (years 12 and 13) are coeducational. The college is under the trusteeship of the Brothers of Christian Instruction. Their mission is that of their founder, Jean Marie de la Mennais, "To make Jesus better known and loved". The school is a specialist school for mathematics and computing, and was the first school in Liverpool to gain specialist school status in that category.

251 Menlove Avenue is the childhood home of the Beatles' John Lennon. Located in the Woolton suburb of Liverpool, it is nicknamed Mendips after the Mendip Hills. The Grade II listed building is preserved by the National Trust.

Strawberry Field is a Salvation Army property and visitor attraction in the Liverpool suburb of Woolton. It operated as a children's home between 1936 and 2005. The house and grounds had originally been built as a private residence in the Victorian era, before being acquired by the Salvation Army in the 1930s. The house was demolished in 1973 due to structural problems and replaced with purpose-built units. After being closed as a children's home, the site has continued to be used by the Salvation Army for other purposes. The location gained worldwide fame following the release of the Beatles' 1967 single "Strawberry Fields Forever". The song's writer, John Lennon, had grown up nearby and played in the grounds of the home as a child. In time, the old red-painted entrance gates on Beaconsfield Road became a place of pilgrimage for Beatles fans. In 2019, Strawberry Field was opened to the public for the first time, with an exhibition on its history, cafe, and shop, alongside a training centre for young people with special educational needs. The gates were stolen on 11 May 2000, allegedly by two men in a transit van. The gates were sold to an unsuspecting antiques dealer who never realised they were the actual gates from Strawberry Field. He returned them to the police upon request, and they now stand in the grounds of Strawberry Field.

Bluecoat Press is a publisher based in Liverpool, England. Established in 1992. Bluecoat Press takes its name from the Bluecoat Chambers, where it was based from 1992 until 2005. Founded by Colin Wilkinson, it specialised in mainly local and regional (Liverpool and NW England) books with an emphasis on photography. Following changes in the book market after the financial crisis in 2008, which saw the demise of most local bookshops, Bluecoat Press shifted its emphasis to books about photojournalism - publishing monographs by photographers including John Bulmer, Peter Dench, Paul Trevor and Patrick Ward. Bluecoat Press has published over 200 books on subjects ranging from local history, food, art and architecture and autobiographies to the ghost stories of local writer Tom Slemen. It has greatly reduced its output in recent years, publishing around six titles a year.

Reynolds Park is a 14-acre (57,000 m2) park in Woolton, Liverpool. The origins of the park are 200 years ago, it was bequeathed to the City Council in 1926.

The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It is one of the largest parish churches in Liverpool, and its bell tower stands at the highest point of the city. The church also has connections with The Beatles.

Gateacre School is a secondary school and sixth form located in Belle Vale, Liverpool, England. The school is Coeducational with both male and female pupils from years 7 to 11 and throughout the sixth form.

Woolton Picture House (also known as Woolton Cinema) is a privately owned cinema in the Woolton area of Liverpool, England. It is the only remaining single-screen cinema in the city, and is popular with cinema enthusiasts because of its old-fashioned atmosphere. The music of Mantovani plays before the main programme and in the traditional halfway interval, during which ice cream can be bought from usherettes. It was purchased in 1992 by David Wood, the grandson of Liverpool cinema pioneer John Frederick Wood. Wood died on 12 June 2006 leading to the cinema's closure on 3 September. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest was the last film to be shown. In 2007, a group of entrepreneurs purchased the cinema and re-opened it on 29 March 2007 with a screening of The Queen. The 2020 coronavirus pandemic led to the permanent closure of the establishment, but a crowd-funding effort on Go Fund Me has raised £20,000, and the owners have suspended redundancies whilst they evaluate the availability of grants from the BFI and other sources.

Childwall Hall was a 19th-century English country house located in Childwall, Liverpool, England. Built on the site of a previous mansion of the same name the Gothic Revival building was the seat of parliamentarian Bamber Gascoyne the Younger, a noted opponent of the abolition of slavery. The main building was demolished in 1949 and the current site is now occupied by television production company Lime Pictures. A lodge building and a few ruins of the same style are all that remain of the hall.

Allerton Priory, Liverpool, England, is a Grade II* listed building designed by Alfred Waterhouse.A house originally known as Allerton Lodge, but later Allerton Priory, was built on the property in the early 1800s for William Rutson, a Liverpool merchant. In 1866 John Grant Morris, a colliery owner, bought the estate and commissioned architect Alfred Waterhouse to rebuild the house.In 1897 a Monsignor Nugent (1822-1905) founded a House of Providence (Magdalen Asylum), which was run by nuns as a refuge for unmarried Irish girls. In 1915, the Sisters established a (residential) School for Special Educational Needs (girls). It was temporary certified 18 May 1916 for 15 girls, then re-certified in 1917 as Allerton Priory Special Industrial School for mentally defective girls under 15. It ceased to be a Home Office school in 1933. The Nuns owned the property until 1986.The property was then purchased by Danny Mullholland and converted to a Nursing Home. It was managed by a local family until 1994/95, but has since been converted into luxury apartments. Around 2010 it was also a film location as "Anubis House" for the hit TV Series "House of Anubis" by Nickelodeon.

Allerton Golf Club House is a ruined Neoclassical building located in Allerton, Liverpool, England. Completed in 1815 by the architect Harrison of Chester for the owner Jacob Fletcher, the building was built on the site of a previous one which had been destroyed by a fire. This replacement building was occupied by the Fletcher family for 104 years before being purchased in 1923 by the Liverpool Corporation, who converted the mansion into a clubhouse for a newly built golf course. On 21 November 1944 another fire broke out, leaving the building in ruins. On 14 March 1975 the ruins became a Grade II listed structure.To the south-east of the house is a sandstone obelisk which belonged to the original 18th century house. It is of square plan, and is mounted on plinth. The obelisk is Grade II listed.
