Richmond is a neighborhood in the Southeast section of Portland, Oregon. It borders Sunnyside on the north, Mt. Tabor and South Tabor on the east, Creston-Kenilworth on the south, and Hosford-Abernethy on the west. The northern edge of the neighborhood is part of the Hawthorne District. Neighborhood parks include Sewallcrest Park (1940) and Ivon Community Garden (1978). Richmond is named after Richmond Kelly, son of an early immigrant from Kentucky who held one of the donation land claims in the area, Rev. Clinton Kelly.The Richmond neighborhood is home to Richmond Elementary School, the first of three which comprise the Japanese Magnet Program of Portland Public Schools. JMP students continue on to Mt. Tabor Middle School and then to Grant High School in the Grant Park neighborhood.

The Oregon Theatre, or Oregon Theater, was an adult movie theater in the Richmond neighborhood of southeast Portland, Oregon, United States. The theater was completed in 1925 and originally housed a Wurlitzer pipe organ and vaudeville stage. It would later screen Hollywood, art-house, and Spanish-language films. The building was acquired by the Maizels family in 1967 and became an adult cinema in the 1970s. It continued to operate as the city's longest running pornographic cinema and remained owned by a member of the Maizels family until 13 February 2020, when it went into foreclosure. It closed in early March 2020.The cinema has been described as "less creepy than most of its kind" and "out of place" along the newly developed Southeast Division Street. It has also been called "the last holdout of an era", referring to both the prominence of adult film screenings in the city during the 1970s and its status as the last property owned by the Maizels family. In 2004, the building was identified as an "Investment and Identity Site" and commended for having attributes valued by the community, such as quality architecture, local ownership, and orientation to the street.

The Oriental Apartments in southeast Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon is a two-story multi-family dwelling listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in the Tudor Revival style in 1926, it was added to the register in 1992.Constructed by Curtis A. Gardner, an engineer and contractor, for C.E. Beeman, a real-estate developer, the 12,165-square-foot (1,130.2 m2) structure contains 13 studio apartments with identical floor plans and three one-bedroom apartments, also with floor plans identical to one another. Each story includes eight apartments situated on either side of a central hall running along the long axis of the building. Significant architectural details include its brick exterior cladding, its gables and spandrels, a round-arched entrance portal, Murphy-bed closets, and leaded-glass cupboards that divide the eating area from the food-preparation area of each kitchen.
