Bangabandhu Boulevard

Koru is an underground rapid transit station and the western terminus of the M2 line of the Ankara Metro. It is also the southwest terminus of the 46.6 km (29.0 mi) long continuous metro line, consisting of the M1, M2 and M3 lines. The station is located along Ankaralılar Avenue within Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Park and was opened on 13 March 2014. Connections to EGO Bus service is available on Şeyh Mucibur Rahman Boulevard. This station is secondary depot station in Ankara Metro(main depot station located at Macunköy station). Trains are added to and removed from the system from this station. The addition/removal process is done with a railway switch that connects to the mainline from the yard lines close to the station.

Gazi Anatolian High School (Turkish: Gazi Anadolu Lisesi) is a co-educational Anatolian High School in Ankara, Turkey. It was founded under the name "Söğütözü Anatolian High School" in 1984. In 1986, the school moved to its current location and adopted its current name. The emblem of the school is the signature of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, which is worn every Gazi student on their uniform. In the university entrance exams, the average success rate in its own type and in Turkey as a whole is 82.3%; in 2003, it ranked first in Turkey in the numerical field and in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, chemistry and biology. According to High School Entrance Examinations in Turkey, Gazi is consistently ranked among the top ten high schools in Turkey (ninth in 2006 and fourth in 2005). Gazi students average in the top percentile of all students taking the Turkish high school entrance exam. Gazi students score outstanding results in Student Selection Exam, thus ranking Gazi one of the most successful Anatolian high schools in Turkey. Gazi is one of the largest primary education institutions in Ankara, with an administrative and classroom building, a gymnasium/sports center, a canteen and a student dormitory on campus. The primary language of instruction in the school is Turkish; however, students take obligatory English lessons as a foreign language.

Başkent University (Turkish: Başkent Üniversitesi) is a private university in Ankara, Turkey. The university was founded on 13 January 1994 by Professor Dr. Mehmet Haberal. The university center is located in Ankara and also has medical and research centers and dialysis centers all around Turkey.

The Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory (Turkish: Hacettepe Üniversitesi Ankara Devlet Konservatuvarı), the first conservatory to be founded in the Republic of Turkey, was established in 1936 by a directive of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The conservatory is part of Hacettepe University.

Hacettepe University is a leading state university in Ankara, Turkey. It was established on 8 July 1967. Yıldırım railway station (Turkish: Yıldırım istasyonu) is a railway station in Ankara, Turkey, currently being rebuilt. The station was a stop on the Ankara suburban from 1972 to 2016 when it was closed and demolished shortly after, in order to rebuild and expand the railway. Construction of the new station began in 2017 and is expected to open on 12 April 2018.Yıldırım station was originally built in 1970 by the Turkish State Railways, when the railway from Ankara to Sincan was double-tracked. It entered service in 1972, when electric commuter service began on the line. The new station consists of an island platform serving two tracks, within a five-track railway. South of the platform are two tracks for mainline and YHT high-speed trains, while the track north of the platform is a bi-directional track for freight trains and equipment moves.

Bilkent University (in Turkish, Bilkent Üniversitesi) is a private university located in Ankara, Turkey. It was founded by Prof. İhsan Doğramacı in 1984, with the aim of creating a center of excellence in higher education and research. It was the first non-profit private university established in the country. The name Bilkent is an abbreviation of bilim kenti: Turkish for "city of science". It is constantly ranked among the top Turkish universities since its establishment. In 2011, it was listed as the top 112th university in the world by The World University Rankings.

Etimesgut, formerly Ahimesut, is a municipality and metropolitan district of Ankara Province, Turkey. Its area is 273 km2, and its population is 614,891 (2022). It mainly consists of large public housing projects, 25 km (16 mi) from Ankara city centre. Its elevation is 843 m (2,766 ft).

The Turkish Council of State shooting occurred on 17 May 2006. Alparslan Arslan entered the Council of State building in Ankara and shot five judges, killing judge Mustafa Yücel Özbilgin. Arslan was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2008.
