The Ministry of Trade (Turkish: Ticaret Bakanlığı) is a government ministry office of the Republic of Turkey, responsible for customs and trade related affairs in Turkey. The ministry is headed by Mehmet Muş.The ministry was founded with the Act No. 640 by merging the Prime Ministry's Undersecretariate of Customs with some departments of the former Ministry of Industry and Trade on 8 June 2011. In the past, duties of the current ministry were carried out by the Ministry of Customs and Monopoly (1931–1983), Ministry of Finance and Customs (1983–1991) and Undersecretariate of Customs (1993–2011). The first minister of the newly established ministry became Hayati Yazıcı, who served as the undersecretary before. Between 2011 and 2018, its official name was Ministry of Customs and Trade (Turkish: Gümrük ve Ticaret Bakanlığı). It merged with Ministry of Economy in 2018 and rebranded as Ministry of Trade.

The National Security Council (Turkish: Milli Güvenlik Kurulu, MGK) is the principal government agency used by the President of Turkey (who is the Commander-in-chief) for consideration of national security, military, and foreign policy matters with senior national security officials, and for coordinating these policies among various government agencies. Like the national security councils of other countries, the MGK develops the national security policy. The policy is expressed in the National Security Policy Document (Turkish: Milli Güvenlik Siyaseti Belgesi), commonly known as "The Red Book". The Red Book is sometimes called the "most secret" document in Turkey. It is updated once or twice a decade.

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (Turkish: Türkiye Odalar ve Borsalar Birliği, TOBB for short) is a confederation of all local chambers of commerce, industry and maritime as well as commodity exchanges in Turkey. The union was founded on March 8, 1950 as an umbrella organization in Ankara as the country's highest legal entity representing the private sector. Its president is M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu since 2001.Currently, the TOBB has 365 chambers and commodity exchanges as: 178 chambers of commerce and industry, 60 chambers of commerce, 12 chambers of industry, 2 chamber of maritime commerce and 113 commodity of exchangeswith a membership of totalling to 1.4 million companies.The TOBB is affiliated with Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Eurochambres), Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC), and Association of the Black Sea Zone Chambers of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

TOBB Towers are 34 floor and 140 meters tall twin towers owned by Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey on İsmet İnönü Boulevard in Ankara, Turkey. By 2020, they are still one of the tallest buildings in Ankara.

Behiçbey railway station (Turkish: Behiçbey istasyonu) is a railway station in Ankara, Turkey, currently being rebuilt. The station was a stop on the Ankara suburban from the 1930s to 2016 when it was closed and demolished shortly after, in order to rebuild and expand the railway. Construction of the new station began in 2017 and is expected to open on 12 April 2018.Behiçbey station was originally built in the early 1930s by the Turkish State Railways as Bahçekapı railway station. In 1961, the station was renamed Behiçbey in honor of Behiç Erkin, the first minister of railways in Turkey.The new station consists of an island platform serving two tracks, within a five-track railway. South of the platform are two tracks for mainline and YHT high-speed trains, while the track north of the platform is a bi-directional track for freight trains and equipment moves.

The 'Turkish Academic Network and Information Center (Turkish: Ulusal Akademik Ağ ve Bilgi Merkezi), shortly ULAKBIM, was founded as a research and development facility institute of Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in Bilkent, Çankaya of Ankara, Turkey in 1996.ULAKBIM's main objectives have been set as operating a high speed computer network enabling interaction within the institutional elements of the national innovation system, and providing information technology support and information services to help scientific production. ULAKBIM aims at providing technological facilities such as computer networks, information technology support, and information and document delivery services, to meet the information requirements of universities and research institutions, and to increase the efficiency and productivity of their end users.Since February 1998, ULAKBIM consists of National Academic Network (Turkish: Ulusal Akademik Ağ, ULAKNET) Unit, which undertakes the task of formation and operation of research and education network infrastructure in Turkey, and Cahit Arf Information Center (Turkish: Cahit Arf Bilgi Merkezi), which provides information and document supply services nationwide. The center has issued a circular demanding the dismissal of any signatory of the a petition by the Academics for Peace who is assigned to an editorial board of a journal.

The Tree of Science (Turkish: Bilim Ağacı) is a Turkish sculpture at the Middle East Technical University Ankara Campus at the door of the monument Eskişehir Yolu. The sculpture was constructed through the second drop-Atatürk Monument Competition in 1966 and was made by Tamer Başoğlu.At the time this sculpture was erected, much of the surrounding area was barren, but an intense forestation campaign was in progress, led by then university president Kemal Kurdas. Over the years around 12 million trees were planted on the 11,100 acre METU land. Thanks to this effort, the white Tree of Science is surrounded by the deep green of the forest that replaced arid brown hills. METU is now the largest green area around Ankara. The forest helps mitigate the city's pollution, according to the Aga Khan Award for Architecture shared in 1995 by Kurdas, Behruz Cinici (the campus' planner and first architect) and Alattin Egemen (director of forestation).

The Atatürk Monument (Turkish: ODTÜ Atatürk Anıtı) is a Turkish monument dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, located at the Ankara Campus of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Middle East Technical University (METU). The competition for the monument started in 1965, in which Şadi Çalık came in first place. Çalık completed the monument in 1966. The bronze monument is Turkey's first abstract monument dedicated to Atatürk.On November 10, 2016, the death day of Atatürk, a commemoration was held by METU staff and students in front of the monument

Ankara Güvercinlik Army Air Base, (Turkish: Ankara Güvercinlik Kara Hava Üssü) (ICAO: LTAB) is a military airport of the Turkish Army located in Güvercinlik of Etimesgut district, 10 km (6.2 mi) west of Ankara in central Turkey. The air base hosts General Staff controlled units, General Directorate of Mapping's aviation unit, Army Aviation School, 1st Army Aviation Regiment and Ankara Gendarmerie Aviation Group. The airport is open to general aviation for civil domestic flights with permission.

Middle East Technical University (commonly referred to as METU; in Turkish, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi, ODTÜ) is a public technical university located in Ankara, Turkey. The university puts emphasis on research and education in engineering and natural sciences, offering about 41 undergraduate programs within 5 faculties, 105 masters and 70 doctorate programs within 5 graduate schools. The main campus of METU spans an area of 11,100 acres (4,500 ha), comprising, in addition to academic and auxiliary facilities, a forest area of 7,500 acres (3,000 ha), and the natural Lake Eymir. METU has more than 120,000 alumni worldwide. The official language of instruction at METU is English.Over one third of the 1,000 highest scoring students in the national university entrance examination choose to enroll in METU; and most of its departments accept the top 0.1% of the nearly 1.5 million applicants. METU had the greatest share in national research funding by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in the last five years, and it is the leading university in Turkey in terms of the number of European Union Framework Programme (FP) projects participation.
