Havadurağı railway station (Turkish: Havadurağı istasyonu) is a railway station in Ankara, Turkey, currently being rebuilt. The station was a stop on the Ankara suburban from the 1930s to 2016 when it was closed and demolished shortly after, in order to rebuild and expand the railway. Construction of the new station began in 2017 and is expected to open on 12 April 2018.The station opened in 1930s, when the Etimesgut Air Base entered service. The station gets its name from the Air Base, as Havadurağı literally translates to Air stop. The new station consists of an island platform serving two tracks, within a five-track railway. South of the platform are two tracks for mainline and YHT high-speed trains, while the track north of the platform is a bi-directional track for freight trains and equipment moves.

Etimesgut Air Base (IATA: ANK, ICAO: LTAD) (Turkish: Etimesgut Hava Üssü) is an airbase of the Turkish Air Force located 15 km (9.3 mi) west of Ankara, Turkey. It is owned by Turkish Air Force and jointly operated by the air force and the Turkish Aeronautical Association (Turkish: Türk Hava Kurumu) (THK). International Defense Industry, Aerospace and Maritime Fair (IDEF) and civil aviation airshows are being held at this airport.The airport has two runway in east–west direction. The northern part of the airport, limited by the urban section of Ankara-Istanbul highway E90 / D.200 at north, is assigned to the military with the longer runway 11L/29R. The southern area and the shorter runway 11R/29L are being used by the THK. The Ankara Aviation Museum, open to public, is located at the northeastern corner of the airport.

Batıkent (transl. West City) is a city near Ankara, Turkey. It is a suburban residential area located 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) west of the city, and Ankara's largest suburb. The population is approximately 200,000, mainly middle-class families; it is a popular residential area for students and government workers. The dominant dwelling types are semi-detached and detached houses, and apartment buildings. Batıkent was created as a cooperative housing project by Kent-Koop (Union of Batikent Housing Construction Cooperatives) to improve the quality of life for low and middle income people, mostly civil servants, traders, etc. The 1995 estimated cost of this project was approximately 43 billion dollars. Batikent was the first mass housing project to demonstrate the success of public and private partnerships in the housing field in Turkey. It was a pioneer in bringing low income people together in cooperatives, either by place of work or through the workers' unions, to decide for themselves about the type, size and number of units in their housing projects. Housing "by the people and for the people" has affected the housing shortage in Turkey and has depressed the sale and rental prices in the Ankara housing market.

Ankara Güvercinlik Army Air Base, (Turkish: Ankara Güvercinlik Kara Hava Üssü) (ICAO: LTAB) is a military airport of the Turkish Army located in Güvercinlik of Etimesgut district, 10 km (6.2 mi) west of Ankara in central Turkey. The air base hosts General Staff controlled units, General Directorate of Mapping's aviation unit, Army Aviation School, 1st Army Aviation Regiment and Ankara Gendarmerie Aviation Group. The airport is open to general aviation for civil domestic flights with permission.

Batıkent is an underground rapid transit station of the Ankara Metro. It is located along Başkent Avenue at the intersection with 1777th Avenue. The station was originally opened as the western terminus of the M1 line on 29 December 1997. On 13 February 2014, it became the eastern terminus of the M3 line. Both lines use the same platform as the M3 is an extension of the M1.

University of Turkish Aeronautical Association (UTAA) (Turkish: Türk Hava Kurumu Üniversitesi, THKÜ) is a non-profit foundation university located in Ankara, Turkey. It was established on March 3, 2011, by Law No. 6114 and is supported by the Turkish Aeronautical Association Foundation. The university is Turkey's first higher education institution specialized in aviation and space sciences. The main aim of the university is to provide qualified human resources for the aviation and aerospace sectors, offering undergraduate and graduate education, research, and training in areas such as pilotage, air transport, aerospace sciences, and engineering.

Etimesgut railway station (Turkish: Etimesgut istasyonu) is a railway station in Etimesgut, Ankara, currently under renovation. The station was a stop on the Ankara suburban from 1972 to 2016, when the station was closed for renovation. Once the rebuilt station is opened, commuter rail service will resume. Etimesgut station is located along İstasyon Avenue, near Hikmet Özer Avenue.

Anakara Büyükşehir Belediyesi Fomget Gençlik ve Spor Kulübü, formerly Fomget Gençlik ve Spor, is a Turkish women's football sports club, based in the Mamak district of Ankara and sponsored by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. FOMGET is short for Folklor Müzik ve Gençlik Topluluğu (Folk Dance, Music and Youth Society), a youth and sports club best known for its folk dance group. Currently, they play in the Turkcell Women's Football Super League. Club president is Taner Bozkuş.
