Bearpaw Mountain

Church Mountain is a 6,315-foot (1,925-metre) mountain summit located north of Mount Baker in Whatcom County in the U.S. state of Washington. The summit affords a 360 degree view of the area, which includes Mount Baker to the south and Mount Shuksan to the southeast. Church Mountain is the line parent of Bearpaw Mountain.

The 1500-kilowatt capacity Nooksack Falls Hydroelectric Power Plant was constructed at Nooksack Falls on the Nooksack River in 1906 by Stone & Webster, which is the second oldest operating facility in western Washington. The plant operated for over 90 years and ceased operation in 1997 due to a fire which destroyed the generator.

Nooksack Falls is a waterfall along the North Fork of the Nooksack River in Whatcom County, Washington. The water flows through a narrow valley and drops freely 88 feet into a deep rocky river canyon. The falls are viewable from the forested cover near the cliffs edge. The falls are a short 2/3 of a mile drive off the Mount Baker Highway, Washington (State Route 542). The falls were featured in the hunting scene of the movie The Deer Hunter.

Wells Creek is a swift creek in Whatcom County, Washington. It is a tributary of the Nooksack River, joining the river just below Nooksack Falls. It is best known for having six major waterfalls along its course. Wells Creek was named for Hamilton C. Wells who prospected the area in the 1880s and 1890s.

Glacier is a census-designated place in the North Fork Nooksack River Valley, at an elevation of 906 ft., just 10 miles northwest of the Mount Baker Summit towering nearly 10,000 ft above it, in Whatcom County, Washington, United States. The population was 211 at the 2010 census. Glacier is the community closest to Mt. Baker, and a 20-mile drive from the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The Glacier Public Service Center, staffed by both United States Forest Service and National Park Service personnel, is less than a mile east.

The Glacier Ranger Station is a park ranger office for the Glacier District of Baker National Forest in the U.S. state of Washington. Camp Glacier (F-12) was one of 70 Civilian Conservation Corps camps in Washington state, among the earliest states to establish them, and built the Glacier Ranger Station. It was established in June 1933. This is the second building to serve as the Glacier Ranger Station. The first site was taken from public land on March 16, 1908. The structure was demolished (1908–1931) when the Mount Baker Highway was built on its current right-of-way. Two other wood-frame buildings from the old complex were moved and altered and in use. The ranger station was completed in 1938. There was a complement of 200 enrollees and 45 local experienced men (LEMS) at the camp working under 5 army officers. Several buildings built for the camp, at some distance from the station, are still in use as a summer church camp (Mt Baker Bibleway Camp) on the Mt. Baker highway. The work on the station took several months. Under the supervision of a journeyman mason the columnar basalt was quarried during the summer from deposits near Heather Meadows at the head of the Mt. Baker highway. It was trucked to the construction site where most of the laying was done by the mason. The framing, roofing, and finishing was done by men from the crew. The plans for the station were modified from standard building plans done during 1936 for the Forest Service and initiated L.A.F. The changes are an example of the way designs and material were improvised to limit expenses and utilize the available labor. The interior was remodeled in 1967, the exterior has not been altered. The Glacier Ranger Station, is a 'crafted example of CCC projects.

Mount McGuire is a 2,008-metre (6,588-foot) mountain summit located in the Cascade Mountains of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. It is situated 4 km (2 mi) north of the Canada–United States border, 19 km (12 mi) southeast of Chilliwack, and 7.4 km (5 mi) northwest of Canadian Border Peak, which is its nearest higher peak. Precipitation runoff from the peak drains into tributaries of the Chilliwack River. The steep western slope of the peak plunges 1800 metres into Tamihi Creek. The mountain was originally known as Tamihi, a Halkomelem name that means "deformed baby finishes." Such infants were sometimes left exposed on the mountain to die. The mountain's name was labelled on 1917 map as McGuire, and officially adopted on October 6, 1936, by the Geographical Names Board of Canada. The peak was first climbed in 1906 by James J. McArthur and survey party via the Southeast Ridge.

Whatcom County (, ) is a county located in the northwestern corner of the U.S. state of Washington, bordered by the Lower Mainland (the Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley Regional Districts) of British Columbia to the north, Okanogan County to the east, Skagit County to the south, San Juan County across Rosario Strait to the southwest, and the Strait of Georgia to the west. Its name derives from the Lummi word Xwotʼqom, also spelled [x̣ʷátqʷəm], perhaps meaning "noisy" or "noisy water" and referring to a waterfall. Whatcom County has a diversified economy with a significant agricultural base, including approximately 60% of the nation's annual production of raspberries.

Hadley Glacier is located on Mount Baker in the North Cascades of the U.S. state of Washington. Situated on the north slopes of Mount Baker, Hadley Glacier is north of Hadley Peak on a spur from Mount Baker.

Chilliwack River Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada, located on the north side of the Chilliwack River to the southeast of the City of Chilliwack in the province's Lower Mainland region. When first established in 1961, the park comprised approximately 65 acres. Boundaries were decreased in 1970, then increased back to 65 acres later that year. The boundary was redrawn again in 2004, with the park now comprising 21 hectares.
