BP Building (Antwerp)

Wilrijkse Plein Antwerp is a sports and leisure venue located in Antwerp, in Belgium. It is currently mainly used for field hockey matches and matches organized for Men's and Women's Euros. The stadium accommodates more or less 7,000 people.Its location is Vogelzanglaan 6 at Wilrijk in the province of Antwerp. It was in 2013 that the stadium was built.On June 24, 2021, the Center of Excellence was officially inaugurated by the VHL (Vlaamse Hockey Liga) in collaboration with Sport Vlaanderen and the city of Antwerp.In the past, the stadium has hosted the following major tournaments: Men's and Women's Euros in 2019

deSingel is a Belgian arts center. It is located on the Desguinlei in Antwerp. Its various stages, concert halls and exhibition spaces offer a manifold program of music, dance, theater and architecture. It is also home to the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, the Flemish Architecture Institute (VAI), the Study Center for Flemish Music (SVM), the VDAB employment initiative for theatre technicians Sabbattini, the Eastman dance company, ChampdAction, I Solisti, detheatermaker and the Spiegel String Quartet.

Antwerpen-Zuid (English: Antwerp South) is a railway station in the south of the city of Antwerp, Antwerp, Belgium. The old station opened on 10 July 1878 (goods) on the Lines 52 (1894) and 25A (1907). The old station building was demolished in 1965 and replaced with a stop in 1970 on the new through railway under the Scheldt river on the line 59. In 2006, the Butterfly Palace, designed by the Richard Rogers Partnership, was built on the location of the old station. It houses the Antwerp Courthouse.

The Wezenberg Olympic Swimming Center is a swimming center with a 50-meter pool located on De Singel in Antwerp. The complex dates from 1973. In addition to the Olympic-size swimming pool, there is an instruction pool of 20 by 17 meters in Wezenberg and since 2015 a second 50-meter pool, not wide enough for competitions, but for training.

Maison Guiette also known as Les Peupliers, is a house in Antwerp, Belgium, designed by Le Corbusier in 1926 and built in 1927. It was the studio and living quarters of René Guiette, a painter and art critic. One of the Franco-Swiss architect's lesser-known works, it is an early example of the International Style. Rene Guiette asked Le Corbusier to design a house modelled on the 1925 Pavilion de l'Esprit Nouveau. Guiette drew lifelong inspiration from the house using gouache and experimental photography The house and the Guiette artwork was the subject of an exhibition at the 9H gallery London. In July 2016, the house and several other works by Le Corbusier were inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Nachtegalen Park (Nightingale Park in (in Dutch)) is a park located in the Antwerp, Belgium municipality of Wilrijk. It served as the archery venue for the 1920 Summer Olympics. During World War II, the park was headquarters for the 89th German Army Corps, then it became command post of the 719th Infantry Division. The park is home to the Atlantic Wall & Air War Bunker Museum.

The Synagogue Shomré Hadas, commonly known as the Hollandse Synagoge (English: Dutch Synagogue). is a Modern Orthodox synagogue built in Antwerp, Belgium. The building is so named because it was commissioned by descendants of Jews who came to Antwerp from the Netherlands in the early 19th century. It was the first large synagogue in Antwerp. Today the synagogue is used for services only on Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur and Shabbat morning service.

The Wide White Space gallery was an art gallery in Antwerp, Belgium. It opened on the ground floor of the house known as "Het Bootje" in Antwerp's Plaatsnijdersstraat [1] in Autumn 1966. Early exhibitions included works by Dr Hugo Heyrman (The Happy Spacemaker) and Panamarenko. In its first years the gallery hosted many of the leading lights of the European art scene. The gallery was an initiative of Anny De Decker and Bernd Lohaus. It closed in 1976. During its existence the gallery showed work by artists such as Carl André, Richard Artschwager, Marcel Broodthaers, Daniel Buren, Christo, Dan Flavin, Gotthard Graubner, Edward Kienholz, Bruce Naumann, Richard Long, Piero Manzoni, Gerhard Richter, Dieter Roth, Bernard Schultze, Niele Toroni, Günther Uecker, Victor Vasarely and Andy Warhol. Wide White Space worked particularly closely with Joseph Beuys, In 2012 Anny De Decker was honoured with the ART COLOGNE prize of €10,000 for her work with Wide White Space Gallery. The Eeuwfeestkliniek (English: Centenary Clinic) is a surgical hospital in Antwerp, Belgium. Built in 1930, it was constructed on the centenary of Belgium for the city of Antwerp. After World War II, it came under the control of the Augustinian nuns and in the 1980s became part of the Monica healthcare umbrella. It was extensively renovated in the 1990s. The hospital specialises in oncology, Emergency medical services, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Lessius was a university college in Belgium named after the Jesuit economist Leonardus Lessius. It was founded in 2000 from the merger of two Catholic institutions of higher education in the city of Antwerp, and was later joined by another constituent college in Mechelen, which became the Lessius Mechelen campus. This gave Lessius several campuses in Antwerp and Mechelen. In 2012, Lessius merged with Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen to form Thomas More University college. This institute of higher education is a member of the K.U.Leuven Association.

Exposition Internationale d'Anvers was a World's Fair held in Antwerp, Belgium between 5 May and 5 November in 1894. It covered 65.5 acres (265,000 m2), attracted 3 million visits and made a profit. It took place at the same location as the Exposition Universelle d'Anvers, held in 1885.

The Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (Dutch: Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen, KMSKA) is a museum in Antwerp, Belgium, founded in 1810, that houses a collection of paintings, sculptures and drawings from the fourteenth to the twentieth centuries. This collection is representative of the artistic production and the taste of art enthusiasts in Antwerp, Belgium and the Northern and Southern Netherlands since the 15th century. The neoclassical building housing the collection is one of the primary landmarks of the Zuid district of Antwerp. The majestic building was designed by Jean-Jacques Winders (1849–1936) and Frans Van Dijk (1853–1939), built beginning in 1884, opened in 1890, and completed in 1894. Sculpture on the building includes two bronze figures of Pheme with horse-drawn chariots by sculptor Thomas Vincotte, and seven rondel medallions of artists that include Boetius à Bolswert, Frans Floris, Jan van Eyck, Peter Paul Rubens, Quentin Matsys, Erasmus Quellinus II, and Appelmans, separated by four monumental sculptures representing Architecture, Painting, Sculpture, and Graphics. The building stands in gardens bounded by the Leopold de Waalplaats, the Schildersstraat, the Plaatsnijdersstraat, and the Beeldhouwersstraat, formerly the site of the Antwerp Citadel.
