Pilling Sands is a tidal marsh in the Borough of Wyre, Lancashire, England. Named for the village of Pilling, located on the Fylde coast immediately to the south, it forms part of the southern edge of Morecambe Bay. Cockerham Sands adjoins it to the east. The 134 miles (216 km) long Lancashire Coastal Way runs beside the sands. This section is closed from 26 December to Good Friday to protect lambs and birdlife. Rare birds for Lancashire that have been spotted near the sands include lesser yellowlegs and hoopoe.In 2022, the North West Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority found that the Pilling Sands cockle fishery was, in a Habitats Regulations Assessment, in non-compliance of the North West Sea Fisheries Commission byelaw 13A, and was subsequently closed temporarily. Closure notices are active until two consecutive samples return normal levels of bacteriological quality for the production area.Horse racing regularly took place on the sands in the 19th century.

Damside Windmill (also known as Pilling Windmill and The Old Mill) is a tower windmill in the English village of Pilling, Lancashire. It was built in 1808 by Ralph Slater, builder of similar structures in the area, such as Marsh Mill. An earlier mill was marked here on Yates's 1786 map of Lancashire.The mill converted to steam power in 1870, and the sails were removed in 1887. It continued to operate until the 1920s, after which it fell into disrepair. By 1975, the mill had been restored for use as a private residence. The top of the windmill was restored with a traditional wooden cap in 2007, restoring it to its original height of 73 feet (22 m).Inventor Richard Gornall worked out of a barn attached to the mill in the late 19th century.

Stake Pool (also written as Stakepool) is a small rural hamlet in the county of Lancashire, England. It is on the Over Wyre region of the Fylde coast, west of Garstang near Pilling.

Pilling is a village and civil parish within the Wyre borough of Lancashire, England. It is 6.5 miles (10.5 km) north-northeast of Poulton-le-Fylde, 9.4 miles (15.1 km) south-southwest of Lancaster and 14.5 miles (23.3 km) northwest of Preston, in a part of the Fylde known as Over Wyre. The civil parish of Pilling, which includes the localities of Stake Pool, Scronkey and Eagland Hill, had a total resident population of 1,739 in 2001, increasing to 2,020 at the 2011 Census. Populations in the 19th century ranged from 1,281 in 1851 to 1,572 in 1871.

St John the Baptist's Church is in the village of Pilling, Lancashire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Garstang, the archdeaconry of Lancaster and the diocese of Blackburn. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. Its benefice is combined with those of St James, Stalmine, and St Mark, Eagland Hill. It is described as "a fine example of the late Gothic Revival church with much originality in detail".

Its end points are Silverdale in the north and Freckleton in the south. Its length is variously asserted to be 66 miles (106 km) (Long Distance Walkers Association) or 137 miles (220 km) (Lancashire County Council).

Old St John the Baptist's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Pilling, Lancashire, England. It stands 160 yards (150 m) to the south of the new church, also dedicated to St John the Baptist. The church is "an unusual survival of a small Georgian church". It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and it is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

The Olde Ship is an historic building in Pilling, Lancashire, England. It was built in 1782 for sea captain and slave trader George Dickinson (1732–1806), and has been designated a Grade II listed building by Historic England.The building was used as a farmhouse, owned by a Mr Whiteside, in 1815, while William Armer was landlord, when the property was a public house, for 36 years, retiring in 1927 at the age of 68.The village smithy adjoined the inn. It is now a private residence.

Plover Scar Lighthouse, also known as the Abbey Lighthouse, is an active 19th century lighthouse sited at the entrance of the Lune estuary, near Cockersand Abbey in Lancashire, England. The lighthouse is maintained by the Lancaster Port Commission. It is registered under the international Admiralty number A4876 and has the NGA identifier of 114-5144.
