WXES (1110 kHz) is a daytimer Class D AM radio station in Chicago, Illinois. It is owned and operated by El Sembrador Ministries, as part of its ESNE Radio Spanish-language Catholic Radio network. It airs a mix of talk and teaching programs as well as Christian music. By day, WXES transmits 4,200 watts using a non-directional antenna. As 1110 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for KFAB in Omaha and WBT in Charlotte, WXES must go off the air at sunset to protect those stations from interference. The transmitter is off North Palazzo Drive near West Moorland Avenue in Addison, Illinois.

Driscoll Catholic High School was a private college preparatory high school in the village of Addison, Illinois. It had been accredited by the State of Illinois and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Founded in 1966, Driscoll brought Catholic secondary education to Addison, Illinois. Its primary claim to fame is in the field of athletics. The Driscoll Catholic football team has won 8 state championships, including seven in a row (2001–07) which stands as a high school record in the State of Illinois. Driscoll was a member of the Lasallian Schools Association and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet in Illinois. Athletically, Driscoll competed in the Suburban Catholic Conference. Driscoll's football team won seven consecutive state championships from 2001 to 2007 (six being 4A and one as 3A) to establish a state record.

North Park Plaza is a shopping center in Villa Park, Illinois. It began as an indoor mall known as North Park Mall. It opened in 1973 as a 340,000 square foot enclosed shopping center. Anchors such as Robert Hall Village clothing store, Dominick's Finer Foods, and JCPenney were found in the mall.The shopping center contains Fruit Market, Forman Mills and Discovery.

The Odeum Expo Center was a convention center located in Villa Park, Illinois. It featured 20,106 square feet (1,868 m2) of exhibit space at the North Hall and 21,632 square feet (2,010 m2) of exhibit space at the South Hall. Both halls had pitched roofs as high as 50 feet (15 m). The South Hall was also used as an arena with an 85-by-194-foot artificial turf surface for indoor soccer or indoor football. It seated 2,500 for indoor soccer, football or lacrosse, and up to 5,500 for boxing, MMA/UFC, wrestling, and concerts. In addition, the Odeum Expo Center featured two mezzanines, the lower with 4,340 square feet (403 m2) and the upper mezzanine with 13,024 square feet (1,210 m2) and a roof up to 40 feet (12 m). There were also 9,750 square feet (906 m2) of meeting space and a 2,064-square-foot (192 m2) lobby. In 2010, the Odeum became the home to the Chicago Cardinals of the Continental Indoor Football League. Also in 2010 the Chicago Riot of the Major Indoor Soccer League began play at the Odeum Expo Center. In 2014, the Chicago Blitz professional indoor football team began play at the Odeum in the CIFL. They continued their home games through 2016 as a member of the AIF, until the league folded and team subsequently cancelled their remaining season games. In January 2022, it was announced that the Odeum would be sold and permanently closed at the end of May 2022.

Lombard is a station on Metra's Union Pacific West Line, located in Lombard, Illinois. The station is located at 9 South Main Street. Lombard is located 19.9 miles (32.0 km) away from Ogilvie Transportation Center, the eastern terminus of the West Line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Lombard is in zone D. As of 2018, Lombard is the 21st busiest of the 236 non-downtown stations in the Metra system, with an average of 1,502 weekday boardings. Unless otherwise announced, inbound trains use the north platform and outbound trains use the south platform. The middle track does not have platform access. As of May 30, 2023, Lombard is served by 54 trains (27 in each direction) on weekdays, by all 20 trains (10 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. Lombard station is located above ground level and consists of two side platforms. Three tracks run between the platforms, though one does not access the station. There is a station house next to the inbound (north) track, which is open from 5:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tickets are available at the station house on weekdays. Eight commuter parking lots operated by the City of Lombard are near the station; three of the lots require quarterly permits, and the other five require a daily fee of $1.25.On June 3, 2015, a pedestrian tunnel connecting the two platforms went into service after the morning rush. This tunnel replaced the existing track-level crossing between platforms for increased pedestrian and commuter safety.The station is in the heart of the village's central business district. Lilacia Park, the Helen Plum Library, and various local establishments are within walking distance from the station.

Villa Park is a Metra commuter railroad station in Villa Park, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. It is served by the Union Pacific West Line and lies 17.8 miles (28.6 km) from the eastern terminus. Trains go east to Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago and as far west as Elburn, Illinois. Travel time to Ogilvie ranges from 43 minutes on local trains to 31 minutes on express trains, with faster times during peak hours. As of 2022, Villa Park is served by all 20 trains in each direction on weekdays, by all 10 trains in each direction on Saturdays, and by all nine trains in each direction on Sundays and holidays. As of 2018, Villa Park is the 59th busiest of the 236 non-downtown stations in the Metra system, with an average of 870 weekday boardings.The station is on ground level, at North Ardmore Avenue and West Terrace Street, with parking lots north and south of the tracks. Villa Park's commercial district is centered on Ardmore Ave. and Saint Charles Road, several blocks south of the station. Another Villa Avenue station, which was built by the Chicago, Aurora, and Elgin Railroad in 1929, has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1986.Due to the relatively close proximity to Proviso Yard, Metra trains occasionally must use the middle track to avoid the frequent freight traffic. Because the middle track has no platform, the train’s cab car receives and discharges passengers at the Ardmore Avenue railroad crossing when this does occur.

Itasca is a station on Metra's Milwaukee District West Line in Itasca, Illinois. The station is 21.0 miles (33.8 km) away from Chicago Union Station, the eastern terminus of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Itasca is in zone E. As of 2018, Itasca is the 91st busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 555 weekday boardings.As of December 12, 2022, Itasca is served by 42 trains (20 inbound, 22 outbound) on weekdays, by all 24 trains (12 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. Itasca station is located near the Itasca Country Club. Daily parking is available for $1.50 per day along the south side of the tracks along Irving Park Road near Willow Street, and Schiller Street between 1st and Rush Streets. Permit parking is on the north side of the tracks on the corner of Orchard and Maple Streets. Permits are on a three-month basis and cost $50 for residents of Itasca and $75 for non-residents.

Lilacia Park, an 8.5-acre (3.4 ha) garden, is located at 150 South Park Avenue, Lombard, Illinois. It is adjacent to the Lombard station. It specializes in lilacs and tulips. It is open to the public daily. The garden was established by Colonel William Plum and his wife, Helen, who visited the lilac gardens of famous breeder Victor Lemoine (1823-1911), in Nancy, France. They returned with two cuttings (Mme. Casimir Perier, a double white, and Michel Buchner, a double light purple), which formed the basis of today's collection. After the Colonel's death in 1927 the grounds were left to the city as a public park.The park now features more than 200 varieties of lilacs and 50 varieties of tulips, as well as a greenhouse, historical building, picnic areas, and drinking fountains. Each year in May when Lilacs and other flowers are in full bloom, there is a "Lilac Time". This celebration includes visiting Lilacia Park to view all the blooming plants, the Lilac Parade down the Lombard Main Street, and the Lilac Princess Program contest.The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.
