Dyno Mine

Silent Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park located on Silent Lake in eastern Ontario, Canada, near Bancroft. The park occupies an area of 1,450 hectares (3,600 acres). Silent Lake is located in the Canadian Shield. Recreational activities include swimming, hiking, cycling, kayaking, and canoeing; in winter, there is cross-country skiing. Canoe and kayak rentals and yurt camping are also available within the park. No motor boats or electric motors are permitted on Silent Lake.

Paudash Lake is a lake in south central Ontario southwest of Bancroft along Highway 28. The lake is located just north of Silent Lake Provincial Park in Haliburton County, 27 km (17 mi) south of the panhandle of Algonquin Provincial Park. The nearest communities to Paudash Lake are the village of Cardiff, close to the lake's Inlet Bay, and the hamlet of Paudash to the northeast of Lower Paudash Lake. Actually two lakes, 'Paudash' and 'Lower Paudash', the lakes are located on the Crowe River, near its head waters, which flows into the Trent River at Crowe Bay north of Campbellford.

Bicroft Mine is a decommissioned underground uranium mine, located in Cardiff, near Bancroft, Ontario, Canada. It is one of fourteen former uranium mines in Ontario that is monitored by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, and one of twenty in Canada. Aside from uranium, the mine has also produced globally renowned samples of Kainosite-(Y).

Cardiff is a community in Highlands East, Ontario. It was incorporated in 1862, and became a uranium mining town during the late 1950s.

Silver Crater Mine, previously known as the Basin Deposit, is an abandoned mine in Cardiff, Ontario. It has produced some of the world's most notable betafite crystals. The mine has been worked since the late 19th-century, with industrial mining of mica starting in 1927. Uranium was sought in the 1950s and the mine has been abandoned since 1955.

Haliburton Forest & Wild Life Reserve Ltd. is a 300-square-kilometre (120 sq mi) forest in Haliburton County, Ontario. Forestry operations within the reserve are certified by the international Forest Stewardship Council in Canada. Haliburton Forest also supports ecosystem-based research projects, primarily conducted by the University of Toronto's Faculty of Forestry, and operates year-round recreation, tourism, and education programs.

Bob's Lake is a lake in Wollaston, Hastings County in Central Ontario, Canada. It is in the Great Lakes Basin and is part of the Crowe River system. The nearest settlement is Rose Island to the southwest, in the adjacent municipality of North Kawartha in Peterborough County.

CHMS-FM is a Canadian radio station broadcasting at 97.7 FM in Bancroft, Ontario. The station airs a classic Hits format using the on-air branding 97.7 Moose FM, and is owned by Vista Broadcast Group. The station originally began broadcasting as CJNH in 1975, on the AM band at 1240 kHz and partially rebroadcasting CJBQ in Belleville, and CJTN in Trenton, to the south. On December 13, 1984, the CRTC approved a number of applications for a number of AM radio stations across Ontario including CJNH Bancroft to increase their nighttime power from 250 watts to 1,000 watts. CJNH was given approval by the CRTC on March 2, 2001 to convert to FM, and moved to the FM band at 97.7 FM in May 2001 with the new callsign CHMS-FM. On April 23, 2012 Vista Broadcast Group, which owns a number of radio stations in western Canada, announced a deal to acquire Haliburton Broadcasting Group, in cooperation with Westerkirk Capital. The transaction was approved by the CRTC on October 19, 2012. The station later became a classic hits as 97.7 Moose FM.

CFSH-FM is a Christian radio station format that operates at 92.9 FM in Apsley, Ontario, Canada. Known locally as 'CFSH Apsley 92.9 FM - The Fish' or 'CFSH FM Apsley - The Rock', this radio station serves an area of approximately 145 km2. in East Central Ontario which physiographically is best characterised as a predominantly Pre-Cambrian Granitic Canadian Shield region in the Kawartha Lakes district of the province. Owned by the Apsley Community Chapel, the station was given approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) on January 17, 2008.Undated, the station signed on the air.
